This was a cute fast read. To fast for my liking but I’d recommend it especially to teens and young adults

I chose this rating because this book immediately had me hooked and I couldn't put it down. There are so many unexpected turns and twists in the story that it kept me on the edge of my seat. The authors colorful descriptions made me feel like I was right there with the main character. Overall, it was a fun read and I cannot wait for Revamp 2!

Warning: These vampires don't sparkle. An awesome twist on vampire lore that anyone who enjoys paranormal will love! Maya is a new vampire abandoned by her creator and trying to find her place in her changing world. I loved meeting all the colorful characters Maya encounters and learning about their unique abilities. This novel has a great pace and I can't wait to read the next one!

Hard time rooting for heroine who causally murders

I have a hard time rooting for a heroine who indiscriminately murders innocent humans continuously and then pretends she is good.

I know they are vampires but what about other options partially draining them, blood banks, even hunting down only evil men, etc... no she decides to go after 2 innocents. Why would her sister save her if she was half human at the time.

The world would need to be much darker if they are killing on a consistent basis. She even states she feels like a murderer because she is.

DNF
Heroine either needs to own the fact that she is evil or find another way to survive. Even if the rest of story is great it doesn’t mean anything if we cannot connect to the main character.
