Generation X: a 90's Love Story

Rate this book
Some men make their living with words, among other things. But this isn’t a story about how people make their living. This is about what people do when they feel alone. If you choose to read it, you'll find that you're not the first person who was ever confused and frightened and even sickened by human behavior. You're by no means alone on that score, you'll be excited and stimulated to know. Many, many people have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. This is a story of one of them, happily, one that kept records of their troubles. You'll learn from him—if you want to. Just as someday, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. It's a beautiful reciprocal arrangement. And it isn't education. It's history. It's poetry. It is the story of a member of a generation.

Not to be mistaken for the original Generation X by Douglas Coupland, which coined the term and named my cohort.

Thought often very scattered, with odd, unrelated digressions, this is a strangely readable story, which kept me coming back for more Zane-y ness.
