My Dragon Masters is book two in the Sanctuary, Texas series by Krystal Shannan.

We first met the two twin fire breathing Drakonae or dragon brothers, Miles and Eli, in book one since they were good friends with Erick, the vampire. We know that their wife, Diana, was taken from them in the most violent of ways one thousand years ago. But they know she is still alive in The Veil. You see, if the mate of a dragon dies, then the living mate loses their human side and reverts to full dragon, wiping out everything in their paths in their grief. Miles and Eli were taken in by Rose and brought to Sanctuary where they vowed their allegiance to protect the sisters in the Castle. The sisters are Seers and have seen that Diana will return to them. But when? Suddenly, they can feel her! She is back on earth! But they can’t leave Sanctuary, leave the sisters unprotected. They can feel that she is hurting, confused, and she is in heat.
Diana Karlson Blackmoor only knows the cell she has been in for one thousand years. But she dreams of two beautiful identical men although she has no idea who they are. And she dreams of a baby being taken from her, can hear it‘s cries. But she has no idea who she is, what she is, or why she is being held prisoner. And she is burning from within from a fire but on the outside, she is producing ice. Everything she touches turns to ice. The more upset or agitated she becomes, the more ice she produces. She has no idea why this is happening to her. Then comes her chance, finally, after a thousand years, and she takes it, and escapes.
We also get to know the evil Xerxes better in this book, the brother-in-law to Rose in Sanctuary. They are the only two Lamassu left. Xerxes wants power, to rule both earth and the Veil. And he will do whatever it takes to get it. He is using the Djin to do his dirty work and is slowly taking control of the government.
Diana finds herself thrown into a world she has no idea how to navigate. She has never seen cars and the clothing is baffling. Her anxiety grows until she can’t control the beast within her and she transforms, leaving a trail of ice and chaos in her path. The world knows of supernaturals they refer to as “others” but they knew nothing of dragons. Now, they do. She has no memory, and can’t understand anything that is happening. All she knows is that she feels a pull toward something. And she knows if she can find the two men from her dreams, she’ll be safe and she’ll have answers.
Diana is found by a female vampire called Eira who helps her escape those that are hunting her. But with all her anxiety, Diana is throwing out ice wherever they go. It’s hard to not leave a trail when everywhere they stop for rest ends up being frozen solid. Since Diana publicly transformed and has left a trail of death and chaos, now the military who hunt paranormals is pursuing them. Eira quickly becomes Diana’s only friend and Eira feels protective of her.
This was a great continuation to this series as we learn more of the evil Rose and her residents of Sanctuary are battling against. I said it in the first book but I love this little town. I love that all these different paranormals live together and work towards one goal, to keep their town safe and protect the sisters.
Miles and Eli have suffered for so long not knowing where their beloved mate was. Through it all, even when everything they are screams to go to her, when they know she is getting closer and needs them, they remain in Sanctuary honoring their vow to protect the sisters. Then, when they do find Diana, to find that she has no memory of them, of their life and love, my heart broke for them.
I am loving this series. I can’t wait to continue on with book three, My Eternal Soldier, when we will get Eira’s story as fate will again return her to Sanctuary.

The first book was based primarily in Sanctuary, while in this second installment we get a closer look at the world beyond the veil. And I must say, both worlds are equally enchanting! Rich with detail, the story has depth and originality, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. The humor flows naturally throughout the dialogue, without feeling forced or contrived.
"'Zip it, you giant fire-breathing windbag.' I couldn't hold back the snort of laughter. She'd just called a seven-foot giant of a man, who could breathe fire, a windbag..."
The romance was truly lovely, but the scorching hot bedroom scenes were most impressive, especially when you consider that dragons often marry in groups of three. Yes, three very sexy, very hot dragons, which made for some phenomenal love scenes!
A great cast of characters, an enchanting setting, and a well paced plot combine to make this enthralling tale a must read. I can see so much potential for this series, and can't wait to get to know the other characters as the story continues!

So much potential 3.5 stars.
This book starts, after a brief chapter from Xerxes POV with Diana in her cell, there's no windows, a few furs on the floor, a drain in the corner and ice on the walls, this has been her home for a thousand years. She has no memories, no idea who she is, why she's locked away or even how long she's been here. She dreams of two men, twins she thinks since they look identical and a baby she dreams of a baby crying.
This book started really well with Diana escaping from her prison to a world she hardly recognises, she discovers she's a dragon and has no idea she's not supposed to change but then it's too late and she's being hunted.
There was a lot I liked about this book, we see a little more of the world and the hold Xerxes is gaining in it, Diana is an interesting character she's strong despite being robbed of her memories and Eira is fierce and determined and despite my mixed feelings on this book she left such an impression I'll be reading her book 'My Eternal Soldier' next, my issues with this book really come down to one thing, the cheating it just didn't work for me.
Now I knew going into this book that Miles and Eli were having sex with women in the castle but I didn't realise until I read this that they knew for a fact that Diana was alive.
Dragons mate for life so if they knew she was alive why were they having sex with other people and not just visitors to the castle but the pixies that actually live in Sanctuary, they've been told by the sisters that Diana is coming to them although again I thought it was more hope than anything, so how's she going to feel living with women they've had sex with while she's been locked up alone in a cell after being raped and abused and while she can't remember this at the moment Miles and Eli saw it happen so they know and yet they're happily having sex killing time till she returns.
In the previous book the BDSM scenes didn't really fit and felt like an after thought but I assumed it was setting the scene for this book and the brothers but again it didn't really fit for me here either and seemed awkward and forced.
This is an interesting read with so much potential and if only the twins hadn’t known for sure their mate was alive then I would have been happier but having read how she spent her years apart compared to them I wasn't impressed and it took the shine off this book for me.
Hopefully Eira's will be better.

It was okay
There was two main things that really bothered me in this book besides it was okay. One thing is that if dragons mate for life why did miles and Eli open up a BDSM club and screw everyone in town? I mean if she was their one and only they would of kept their d++k in their pants and mourned their mate. They drunk themselves into a stupor until picked up in a ditch by rose waiting to lose their humanity. They had a inkling that Diana was still alive and yet while she was rotting in a prison giving birth to their son they were having their jollies with pixies. I mean really way to go. And the other women are part of their little town. The seers told them she will come and they just screwed around. Wonder how long it took them to become whores. F that. Another thing Eli knows she is alive because he can feel her and yet he is flirting with his pixie f++k buddy after his beloved shows up on their dragon radar. Ugh. Unbelievable. Screw them..after that I couldn't like the hero's at all. Sad too. The BDSM was so out off place in this book just didn't flow with the books storyline at all. I felt sorry for Diana being stuck with them. Their love sounded so genuine too but in my eyes they were slime. A lot of grammar issues as well.

Received this story for an honest review.
I've heard that the second part of a series is never as good as the first one. In this case, it's wrong. :o) I like this story much better because it gave more history into Sanctuary, Texas, more history into the Drakonea line, the characters from the last book are mentioned but you know this story is about the dragons and dragons alone. And you get to meet the bad guy Xerxes. ohhh he is a total bad guy that each time he was present, I wanted to smack him, and stomp on his person. I wonder if the author will give more background into his and Rose's species. That would be something to look forward to.
Now, for the main girl.. Diana...she is much stronger (even though she was imprisoned for a log time) than Bailey. ( I should compare the two since it's their own story,) but couldn't help it. Diana had endured a lot more torture in 1000 years than Bailey did and yet she's still strong and in control..so to speak.
There were times in the book,that I felt the brothers (her mates) were just for background and this story is actually Diana's.
It had funny moments, like the first book.
Great story to pass the time and looking forward to reading to reading the next one.

My Dragon Masters, book two in the Sanctuary Texas series was not my type of story.
I wasn't sure if I am going to read the book because of the BDSM and menage but curiosity got the better of me because I wanted to know what will happen next. There was one crucial aspect in the book that was not justified and bothered me even more than the whole kink.
The Castle was the playground for both "husbands". They were both told over and over again that "she is coming" - the wife - and still they f..k.d their way in the city.
I don't have an issue with cheating because it is an aspect of life and it happens often. My issue is when true love and mating are involved but the cheating is in the mix.
When you are mourning your other half and know that she is somewhere (even though out of reach) but alive I cannot see how your pass the time fun is in a BDSM club. If they thought she is dead then I would have agreed with them enjoying all the female population from the former US republics.
So there you have it: when something doesn't make sense it just spoils the read.
To end my ranting: I am glad that the plot has moved forward.
I know I am in the percentile readers who cannot move past this aspects but hey, my honest opinion.

Dnf. 35% You mean to tell me the twins knew their mate was alive and being held captive for CENTURIES, but they did nothing to help her.....They didn't even look for her! Yall out there getting ur peepees wet at this sanctuary while she's being abused. Sweet. They're fabulous mates 🙄 Then, the FIRST thing they say when they see her is.....her nipples look different. She must've had a kid. Wtf. Had to stop right there. So bad.

Wowza! I love it! My Dragon Masters is the second riveting release in Krystal Shannan's action packed Sanctuary, Texas Series and it is AWESOME! Shannan's boundless imagination, incredible talent and unique style shine brightly in this powerful story of loss, bravery, courage, determination, hope, recovery, healing and love - paranormal style. The story is original, exciting, powerful, compelling, thrilling, heart wrenching, romantic, seductive, arousing, sensual and steamy. The dialog is smart, well written and flows beautifully. The characters are imaginative, captivating, fascinating, intriguing, engaging and sexy as sin! They are quite literally, out of this world! The series, Sanctuary, Texas, is based on a town aptly named Sanctuary located somewhere in Texas which is no longer part of the United States of America but rather, part of the Texas Republic. Mass riots and violence ensue causing the fracture of the American government resulting in the creation of five dictatorships disguised as republics ruled by dictators calling themselves Presidents. Others are persecuted, hunted, tortured and murdered on a mass scale. Of the five republics, only the Texas Republic is Pro-Others, the only government to welcome Others and allow them to become citizens. Sanctuary is a safe haven for Others. Its residents are a diverse but loyal assemblage and are protected by a small group of prophesied chosen supernatural beings. Only a certain few are destined to become the Protectors of Sanctuary but both of the twin dragons have been chosen by fate to be members of the elite group protecting the citizens of Sanctuary and the refuge they guard.

I am an avid dragon shifter book lover and this one was different in so many ways.
We not only get dragons we get so many paranormal beings.
Eli and Miles need to find their mate they know she has crossed over into their world.
She is lost without them and could do so much damage.
They are however oathed to Rose and the girls. Now how will they get to their mate?
They thought her dead everyone did.
How the last of the Drakonae escaped the veil is seething to Xerxes. Diana was taken prisoner however and all thought her dead. Are Diana , Miles and Eli the last of their line?
Miles and Eli are married to Diana and must be with her but how will they get to her?

Rose agrees to try to find Diana via one of the Wolf packs. So many twists and turns and action.
I want to know what happens for Eira the vampire who saved Diana.
This book was really good. I can't wait to find out what happens next in this small town of Sanctuary.

I really enjoyed book 1 in the series, book 2 not so much.
This book was a little dark in places and didn't seem like it had a lot of thought put into it. It has the potential to be great if more time was spent on it. I was not a fan of the bad guys (idk how to spell his name) chapters at all, I'm not into
Also, the narration was awful! It was so bad I almost quit listening to the story. I eventually got used to it until we got the the bad guy chapters and the voice was just terrible.
I'll read the next book, but if it's like book 2 I'll most likely not continue any further.

I have not read book 1 in this series. I was pretty much able to read book 2 without getting too lost. I really only have a few parts that really got to me. For one, the twin brothers KNEW their wife was alive but still cheated on her while waiting for her to join. All I could think about while reading this book was, OMG is she going to find out that the woman who is helping her slept with her men?
Second I don’t have a problem with bondage at all but it seems so out of this book! It didn’t come into the book until almost 85% of the book was read! I just felt that if it was going to have bondage in the book maybe it should have been throughout the book or at least more than BAMB, she wants to play.
Other than those two points, it was a good read. I like the characters and I would read book 3 to see what happens.

My immediate impressions are that we're getting the description of a fantasy role-playing game, with a shape-shifting female central character. Dungeons, leering guards, the ability to throw ice, dragons overhead, bespelled garments that adjust to the size of the wearer. Feels a lot like Oblivion or Skyrim. There's also much talk of arousal, nipple piercing and wanting to mate.
The protagonist Diana has awakened in a confused state in a land like America with electricity and modern weapons. There are vampires, werewolves, pixies and magicks. There's also reports of Djinn, and of a villain wanting to take over the world, of course, or at least the Texas Republic. She seems to be an ice dragon shifter. She has a lot to learn, including who her allies are, if any.
We move on to the point of view of a guy who thinks nothing of groping the breasts of an injured unconscious woman. Maybe he wouldn't do it to everyone, because he's convinced that she was his mate a few thousand years ago. It still felt very creepy as they hadn't even spoken. Miles and Eli are fire dragons and they both claim to have been mates to Diana. They want to resume the relationship although this will be taking advantage of the animal libido inside Diana, who doesn't remember them.
I'll leave it at that, but obviously this is a book for adult readers. I just didn't get into it; there seemed to be too much going on and everything but the kitchen sink made an appearance, including brutality and rape. However a clear difference is shown between willing and unwilling sex. Someone who had read the first book would be familiar with the situations and might like it a lot more. Some of the descriptive writing is well done and it's a lively world.

Diana has been held captive in a cell of ice for a long time and she has no memory of who she is or how she came to be there but she has some troubling dreams and there is something strange inside her. The reader can’t help but get caught up in her story as she escapes and searches for what she knows she lost even if she can’t remember it. Dragon Shifters Eli and Miles Blackmoor have spent centuries trying to find a way home and find their wife, but when they are finally reunited Diana has no memory of them. The characters are strong, bewitching and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning and the chemistry between the threesome burns hot enough to scorch Sanctuary with some red hot sex scenes that include m/f/m and bdsm scenes.
Spine tingling excitement builds as danger dogs Diana’s every step as she tries to find the twins which of course brings danger to the town because Diana has something their enemy wants and he will stop at nothing to get it. The well written scenes and details paint vivid images that capture the imagination while the well orchestrated suspense and action ensures there is never a dull moment in the ongoing war with their enemies and with the humans.
The fascinating world draws the reader in and doesn’t let go and the author keeps readers on their toes with some surprises along the way. The story held me completely spellbound from the very beginning and I can’t wait to visit Sanctuary, Texas and its intriguing inhabitants again.

I have just finished reading 'My Dragon Masters' & I can honestly say Krystal has blown me away with this book! This is book 2 of Krystal's "Sanctuary, Texas" series & although you can read it by itself, I would advise reading book 1 'Her Viking Vampire' as book 1 has so much detail about the characters living in Sactuary.
Set not long after book 1 finished, when the beast within awakens, her desires burn with a heat that gets more intense & a pull she has to follow. But after centuries in the dark, cold, icy cell, she no longer knows who she is. No memories except nightmares that she doesn't understand, leaving her in tears of either pain or terror. Finally she escapes her prison, and eventually finds herself in the human world, something inside her awakens more & she finds herself amongst a pack of wolfs & a vampire about to make the treak to Sanctuary.... Twin dragon shifter brothers, Miles & Eli feel her the moment she steps foot into the human world from the Veil, Diana their mate & wife. But they can't leave the confines of Santuary to search for her....
Another MUST READ book from Krystal's published list, I was pulled into the story, etranced from the start. Diana's adventure to her husbands & mates is filled with adventure, action & danger. I absolutely loved this story....The Dragonae Twins Miles and Eli have always been my favorite inhabitants of Sanctuary, Texas, so when I knew that Ms. Shannan was writing their story, I was anxiously awaiting it...It did not disappoint either.
Not one of the diversified inhabitants of Sanctuary thought they would ever see the gigantic Twins in a huff over a female and much less be put in their place by one!
Miles and Eli knew even after thousands of years apart that their mate was still alive, if she weren't they would certainly be dead also, but to have Diana back after thousands of years. Never and certainly not in Sanctuary!
Diana manages to escape her captors after thousands of years living in a cell of ice and with only dreams of those beautiful twins and a baby's cry. Diana cannot remember anything, not even her name.. When she manages to arrive on earth something is pulling her towards what, she does not know, only that she must get there.
She is finally reunited with the twins from her dreams and is drawn to them in a way she can't explain, but she must have them even her dragon wants them! She is also told that her son lives, she must be reunited with him, but she is a hard head and will not listen to her mates.
What will happen when they are finally reunited with their son, will he accept them?
Lots of magic and action, not to mention hot passion.

Right after I had finished My Viking Vampire, I eagerly awaited for the second book in this wonderful series. I was not disappointed and the wait well worth it. My Dragon Masters loved it, hell its dragons whats not to love? Except the cliff hanger. *cries*
The set of twin fire dragons has been without their mater for way too long, They needed a purpose a way to focus their grief, they became the protectors of the sanctuary.
The Ice dragon had being held for longer than she could remember, and that is the hard part She has no memory just mental flash backs. Finally free in a world that she doesn't belong, whats a girl to do?
From the first book I've loved Miles and Eli, and glad they have their own story. I totally fell in love with Diane, her spirit as well as her stubbornness. I liked the main characters and they just fit the story, I also liked the secondary characters and how they interacted. The writer captured all the nuances of what pulls you in and keeps you there. The magic, the species the love. With a touch of BDSM, the passion had the pages smoking with heat and yummieness. One of my fav parts Diane's reactions to
the new world she is in. The whole good vs evil reigns supream still, the sisters must be protected for the betterment of humans and kind a like. A wonderful series, you could read it by itself but to get the whole understanding behind the story read in order. Enjoy

I am completely in love with this series. Krystal Shannan has a way of spinning a great story. This was an extremely fast and gripping read. I read it straight through in one sitting.
I was intrigued by Miles and Eli from the first book and so glad that this one was their story and about finding their lost mate Diana. The chapters alternated between all 3 of their POV's and a bad guys thrown in.
Miles and Eli are all alpha. But really sweet and frustrating and I just fell for them both. I love how honorable they are. Even if at times it may mean hurting ones they love.
I adored Diana. She is one kick ass female. Even after not knowing who she is and being thrown basically into a new time and world, she's still very sassy and such a fighter. The relationship between the 3 of them is searing hot and very sweet.
I really loved the friendship that blossomed with Diana and Eira. Eira is hysterical and a firecracker. She didn't fear anyone and she had such a great sense of humor. Her and Calliope are becoming fast favorites of mine.
I am anxiously awaiting the next book now. There are so many great characters in this series and more introduced in every book. I'm hoping to get stories for all of them. They each can stand-alone really well but for the full effect I would recommend reading them in order.

I really loved the friendship that blossomed with Diana and Eira. Eira is hysterical and a firecracker. She didn't fear anyone and she had such a great sense of humor. Her and Calliope are becoming fast favorites of mine.
I am anxiously awaiting the next book now. There are so many great characters in this series and more introduced in every book. I'm hoping to get stories for all of them. They each can stand-alone really well but for the full effect I would recommend reading them in order.

Again, while the writing is good and the plot flows well, for me, the author went the wrong route with first person ... for EVERYONE! This made the book a hot mess and I was barely able to finish. There is a big difference in telling a story from various points of view in third person and making everything first person in fiction. As the reader, I'm looking to get lost in the story, but when you write in first person, you are taking me out of the equation and making it all about you. When you do this with each character, you muddy the waters and the story loses cohesion.
That said, I couldn't really get into the relationship. First, if they were true soulmates and felt Diana was out there, nothing, but nothing should have kept them from finding her. Making an oath to someone else and then bringing in the plot device of going against that oath was not believable. Having Diana be in heat was one thing, but lusting for any man when she knew she had two men, again, unbelievable. If anything, having her feel the heat, but also feel revulsion to other men would have been more believable.
Again, the whole future reality is not working for me or for the stories.
At the moment, I'm not happy I listened to someone and bought the whole series. I feel I have to read them and I hate the feeling of not wanting to go further.

I'm a BIG fan of Krystal Shannan and have loved everything I've read of hers and this was no exception. I love anything Dragon so I was excited to read this. This story captivated me from the very beginning. It was full of twists, turns, all kinds of surprises and just so well written it was fun to read!
The Blackmoor brothers Eli and Miles have been without their mate, Diana for decades. After watching their family die and Diana being raped, tortured and snatched from them as they enter earth from the Veil. They are found by Rose who runs Sanctuary, a place for paranormals and the the Sisters who live there. Rose saves them from themselves and they make a vow to never leave the Sisters unprotected. They know Diana is alive but don't know where she is. Fate intervenes and all kinds of surprises ensue.
What happens to the twin dragon brothers and their mate? Can they save Diana and still fulfill their vow to Rose? Where has Diana been? Who held the ice dragon captive all these past decades? All this will be answered and so much more.
I recommend this to anyone who loves a good PNR especially one about a dragon or two.

Diana wakes up in a prison cell that is covered in ice and she has no idea why she is there. Out of sure luck she is able to escape and lands in a world that in foreign to her. She tries asking for help, that leads to a huge catastrophe in the streets, but luckily for her she finds an ally that saves her. She goes on a journey to find shelter and to find her memories again. Eli and Miles feel when Diana enters the world and because they have taken an oath to protect sanctuary they have to wait until Diana finds them. After this point, there is a bit of over night traveling, fights with the government and Diana gets memories and her family back. In the end the fight is still not over because they are still in need of 3 protectors and the son that they thought was lost to them is his own man now.

I absolutely loved this book it was great it had a tion adventure and love a combo that makes for a great book D wakes up in a cell her body is burning up she screams for help she has no idea how long she gas been locked in her cell she lost count after 10,000 days her body is in heat when some men come and open her door she must decide if she should fulfill her acking desire or run for freedom she chose freedom surprising the guards she steals a dager that takes her through the Vail to earth 1000 years have past for her the world she once new has changed and drastically she must journey to find what she has lost and only then will she find out her past and find her long lost mates who thought she was dead will she get her memory back? Will she find happiness with her mates? to find out what happens next I suggest you buy this book it is awesome 5 gold stars

The second book in the Sanctuary,Texas series more than lived up to the promise shown by book 1.
The story centres around Miles and Eli Blackmoor who we met in Book 1 as the owners of a BDSM club occupying part of their castle. As protectors of the sisters of the House of Lamidae they are bound to the town of Sanctuary.
The story this time sees them reunited with their soul mate Diana.
But of course it's not that simple!
There is a lot of action, smoking hot sex,realistic BDSM scenes, alliances that shouldn't be (a vampire linked to a group of wolves? Unheard of!) and a damned good story.
The pace is brisk, the characters have depth whether goodies or baddies and the story arc develops very nicely.

Oh my oh my, I was gifted this book for a honest review and talk about HOT!! When twins Eli and Miles ,the fire dragons, sense their long lost mate Diana,the ice breathing Dragon, is still alive, they must find her before the soldiers do. She has no memory and doesn't understand what she's searching for, but a burning desire keeps pushing her on. Will the brothers quench it? Will she ever remember? And what of the baby she keeps hearing in her dreams? Definitely not for readers under 18, A very in-depth look at the dom world and a magical world together.

this is the second book about the Sanctuary. you need to read the first even the plot and the characters are different.
why I liked this one better than the 1st?

what I didn't like?
-dragging just a tidbit. I just wanted the actions to move on a bit more quickly.
-I don't really like bsdm so it was off for me, a whole chapter.
what I expect for the future:
-more about the Sister
-the ice fire dragon
-oh surprise me!
last note, while reading this book, I thought about polygamy, sure as a female reader I have been reading a few M F M' s books. I think that I wouldn't be disgust with F M F. I believe in fiction equality.

I would have liked this book more if it hadn't taken almost half the book before the H's and h actually met. Also there was more focus on the continuation of the story instead of the romance between the charactes. Hoping the next book in the series is more like the first one (which I absolutely loved).

Dragon shifters, vampires, and weres with just a dash of some light bdsm. Oh my!
