Lions, tigers, and a bear? Oh, my! Lenny's promotion means that she'll be running the show at the Tree's Hollow Tribune. So, she's got to hire a new staff member to take over her old position. Things don't go as planned when bodies start showing up in the woods. New faces in town mean new friends, but there might also be a killer amongst them. Brewing is suitable for readers of all ages who enjoy lighthearted paranormal cozies.
Sara Bourgeois is a Midwesterner through and through. She spends her time writing, reading, herding cats, and standing in her driveway during tornado warnings. (You can't see them from the basement.)
The very first day that Nathan returns to work after a long spell of convalescence, he comes across a dead body, horribly clawed up and mauled. Lenny in the meantime, manages to cut her hand badly enough to require a visit to the hospital where she meets another woman with the same scratches, only this one lives to tell the tale - that a serial killer is out there, after young women. Lenny and her friend Esme invites Calinda, the young woman to stay with them until the killer is caught. But Lenny has a lot on her plate, her editor is retiring and Lenny has been promoted to take his place but now needs to recruit new staff for the newspaper.Would the killer have the gall to apply for the vacancy, and thus get a free pass to Calinda?
Ok I'm done! The typo/ miss writes are so confusing. One minute there using the persons full name in a sentence an the next there nick name. Nate an Lenny will be alone talking an the sentence that Lenny is saying will say another name instead of Lenny, then I have to go back to see if I missed something! Frustrating one mi yet there at home in the same sentence there across town! Who ever wrote this did not reread the books because apparently, unless the Author is a bad writer, the person who typed it in the ebook form hates the writer. It is the most frustrating read.i have Amazon returning my money for all the books!!
This series so just so chaotic! So much information is missing that would help the reader really know what’s going on and who these characters are. It just Lenny magically meets new characters and they just become besties and act like they have known each other for years. This was just a waste of time to read this series. Even when you skip read you get just as much info as if you read ever word…you get nothing for your time but frustration.
This one was a tad more interesting as some new characters arrive, and a different sort of serial killer strikes Tree's Hollow. While there is nothing particularly unique about this series and I'm not real crazy about the "storytelling" tone, they are entertaining, a quick read on a boring tv night.
If you love paranormal mysteries as much as i, this is the series for you and book club. There is no strong language or excessive gore, so even young children could enjoy them. I like the idea of a book club of all reading ages. I'd !I've to hear the opinions of people of diverse ages. But maybe that's just me...
I like the characters and story lines a lot. It's fairly easy to figure out who the bad guys are given the amount of hints left lying around. The amount of typos is rather disconcerting.
Another enjoyable book. Always great to find a sitter that can capture your attention and hold it. I've literally put several books down and waked away to never pick them up again in this last year. It's great to find some I really enjoyed and went straight through!
A little disjointed in parts. I wish some of the story and characters were fleshed out more. Needs a good editor too. Some grammatical errors are present.
ARC review For honest review. Lenny is a witch and she's a reporter. Nathan is her man and the Ranger .they are looking for a murder and she expanding the paper .very good
Another fun read in this series. Each book is an adventure in the Tree's Hollow Witches life. I enjoy them very much. Takes me away from everyday life in the real world.
