Shadow Love: Book One

Rate this book
It isn't until nineteen year old Alison Colby, inherits an old family estate house that she discovers the secret that her parents kept from her. Not only is she a shadow walker, but she is of royal lineage and is expected to assume the throne soon. Fortunately, Nick Jackson is willing to teach her all she needs to know, since he just so happens to be a shadow walker himself..and he is in love with her. Unfortunately, so is his competitive cousin, Martin... and when it comes to a contest of women, Martin always wins.

Here is what a few readers are saying... "Another great book from this amazing author. Shadow Love is so imaginary, I don't know how she does it but this book (all her books) are different from any other books I've read. Her imagination is amazing... This is a really great book with twists i didn't see coming and secrets I would've never guessed. The plot was really good and the characters were very real.... This book is definitely a great paranormal read. Cant wait for the next in this series!" "... things get a little dicey in this paranormal romance with tones of sci-fi and some fantasy in my book. With some authors, I feel like each new series sorta feels like others, but with Eileen Sheehan, I don't ever think that. The writing feels fresh to me with each series. Enjoy the book."

Eileen Sheehan

Eileen Sheehan is an Award-Winning author of steamy romance thrillers for the mature adult. A professional psychic and holistic practitioner for over 30 years, the majority of her 75 (and climbing) novels feature the paranormal, but some are novels about people in love, and a very few are self-help. As the years progressed, so has her writing style. Although she still includes romance and strives for a happily ever after ending, her stories tend to have more mystery, thrills, and a touch of horror in them.
Eileen makes it a point to write a novel length that will allow the busy readers to be able to enjoy the read in one or two evenings.

Who is Alison? Where is she going? What is happening where she is at in this moment in time? What makes it so dangerous? Why is she headed to her destination? When she gets to her destination, instead of finding a dark driveway to try to make her way to her stopping point, what does she find instead? When she gets to the building and goes inside, what scares her? Who are Nick and Wilma? Why is Alison so snappy at them with her tone of voice? What has been happening recently in her life that has made her such? What is a sensitive? It was interesting to find out what that was/is. Who are Nick and Martin? What do they want with Alison? When Vanessa shows up to spend some time at Alison's request, what happens? As Alison and Vanessa both find out more about Alison's lineage and who Nick and Martin are, things get a little dicey in this paranormal romance with tones of sci-fi and some fantasy in my book. With some authors, I feel like each new series sorta feels like others, but with Eileen Sheehan, I don't ever think that. The writing feels fresh to me with each series. Enjoy the book.

It was an interesting audiobook, the paranormal side of it, including the shadow, was what captivated me the most, I like the characters and the world-building was refreshing. Alison is a very interesting character and would like to see what happens next. The audiobook narrated by A.J. Leavitt was done good, she was a new narrator to me, sometimes she seems a bit monotone, would love to see more variations to it. The editing was done as expected.

Another great book from this amazing author. Shadow Love is so imaginary, i dont know how she does it but this book (all her books) are different from any other books ive read. Her imagination is amazing. This book follows Alison who just inherited her great aunts estate and everything that goes with it. Problem is she doesnt want it but if she doesnt take it and keep everything as specified by her aunts will for 1 year her parents lose their part of the inheritance. So Alison moves to the estate which she doesnt like, she thinks its creepy and haunted. In her first night she meets Nick and feels chemistry with him like never before but Nicks got secrets, the estate is full of secrets and Alison is determined to figure them all out including what Nick is hiding. But will figuring out the secrets put her in more danger than shes already in?
This is a really great book with twists i didnt see coming and secrets i wouldve never guessed. The plot was really good and the characters were very real. I admit i didnt like Vanessa in the beginning, she was very selfish and snobby but by the end my opinion of her was better. Im excited for the next book to see if she remains good. This book is definitely a great paranormal read. Cant wait for the next in this series!

You’ve got to love eccentric relatives, right? Especially those that leave you a fantastic house, but require you to jump through creepy hoops to inherit it. It took me a while to warm up to Vanessa, but she grew as the book went on. I truly enjoyed Alison’s journey through this paranormal world of twists, turns, creativity as well as the research and discoveries. As genealogy is a life-long passion of mine, I found the ancestor details fascinating as well.

As a city girl myself, I can definitely sympathize with Alison’s horror at the bugs and dirt of the remote estate. Nick, of course, sounded too gorgeous for words. I enjoyed the play of their romance. A few spelling issues here and there didn’t detract from the vivid descriptions and natural conversations.

Another brilliant story by Eileen Sheehan. She writes such unique characters and her plots are unlike others that I have read. This story has the reader following the journey of Alison, she inherits a creepy possibly haunted house from her relatives. She doesn't want anything to do with it but in order for her family to get the inheritance they want and need she must live there. What happens when the guy she meets ends up having secrets? What are the secrets, and who is he really? This was a fun and imaginative book to read. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write about it.

Story of romance with paranormal twists

This book was an entertaining read. The main character is still a bit youthful when she meets a man who believes he's the one for her, so you can imagine how that goes lol. The story develops with times of laughter and surprise, and when you find out what the paranormal twist to the plot is, it's refreshingly different. I enjoyed watching the characters as well as the fantasy aspect of this book develop.
