The Complete Kindred Series bundled together in one set.
Kindred (Book 1)
What do you do when the one you love is also your worst enemy?
Cassie is stunned and devastated when she learns that she belongs to a long line of vampire slayers known as The Hunters. A murderous rampage by a group of elder vampires has left the Hunter line decimated and the remaining Hunters scattered around the world. With her friends Chris and Melissa’s aid, Cassie struggles to rid the world of the monsters that murdered her parents. Cassie knows it is her fate, but she chafes against her heritage and is resentful of the shortened lifespan placed upon her by the circumstances of birth. Struggling to get through every day, Cassie finds herself lost and adrift until Devon walks into her life. His arrival turns the school, and Cassie’s life, upside down. Fighting against her fierce attraction to Devon and the chaos he represents in her carefully ordered days, she is irresistibly drawn to him. Though worried that what she is will place Devon in danger, she's unable to fight her feelings for him. He is the one light, and the only source of hope she has in a world that revolves around death and fear. What she doesn't know is that Devon has some dark secrets of his own, secrets even more frightening and dangerous than hers. Secrets that threaten to tear them apart forever.
Ashes (Book 2)
For the past four years, Cassie has only known vampires as her enemy. With the revelation of Devon’s true nature, she must come to terms with the fact that not everything she knows is right, especially when the true source of her Hunter powers is revealed. Slowly, Cassie begins to unravel the mystery that enshrouds Devon as the bond between them intensifies. When a woman from his past walks into their present, Cassie realizes there are far more layers to Devon than she ever realized. Layers that may very well destroy her, and everyone she loves.
Kindled (Book 3)
Fueled by rage and a thirst for revenge, Cassie no longer recognizes the person she has become. Determined to destroy Julian, no matter what the cost, Cassie pushes away the ones that love her most. Though she tries to deny it and fights against it, Devon’s love may be the only thing that can bring her back from the brink of madness she is teetering on. Just when she's starting to come to terms with her grief, a startling revelation threatens to unravel everything she has always known. Her bond with Devon is severely tested as a new enemy rises to tear them apart. An enemy Cassie never could have foreseen, but one that may be even deadlier, and far more ruthless than any vampire she has ever faced. Torn from her friends and Devon, Cassie is stunned to find herself having to rely on the man she hates the most, Julian.
Inferno (Book 4)
Deadly. That is what her time imprisoned by The Commission has made her. Just how deadly, and exactly what was done to her, Cassie doesn’t know, but she is terrified of the possibilities. Though they try to hide it, Cassie knows the people she loves most are also afraid of what she might become. That may be the least of her problems as she comes face to face with the deserted town she was locked away in, and the destruction the Halflings have wrought upon it.
Phoenix Rising (Book 5)
On a mission to rescue the children, they set out on a journey from New York to Canada; a journey that will forever alter the course of their lives.

I loved this series! I don't have time to write a full on review right now but since I just finished I wanted to pop on and tell you a few of my thoughts on why I loved this series and if you're a PNR fan you will too!
I know people hate comparing books to other books or shows but I can't help it. I first grabbed this box set because I loved the cover. (Because HELLO COVER WHORE!) But also because the blurb reminded me of Buffy. I have read several paranormal romance but had yet to read a book/series of a hunter.... someone set on destroying the vampires. I loved Buffy and Angel back in the day so this really got me excited!
The book starts off with action in the prologue, which I love because I really enjoy a book that can sweep me away to another time and place to seamlessly and capture my attention so quickly. We meet Cassie, Chris, and Melissa soon after. High school student and hunters born stronger and bread to kill the vampire race. Cassie meets the new guy in town that of course is more than what he seems and while they are drawn together by something powerful there is so much that is pulling them apart.
This series is filled with so much action, friendship, and love.
I did feel that the series started off a bit slow with the first book, but I'll admit I feel most series tend to start off slow. It's very rare for a book to capture my attention completely. Don't get me wrong the 1st book is good. (and FREE, I'll add the freebie link below) and it gets better! I believe it's one of those where the author already knows where she's going to take you and truly wants to build a great foundation and history to build on.
Once the ball really starts rolling again... I felt like I was watching a Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode. There were many similarities. While this may bother some, I found it fun and reminiscent of an old favorite.
AND THEN ... ALL OF THE SUDDEN it became less like Buffy and reminiscent of reading Twilight. Don't get me wrong the author did not copy any of the stories but I remember feeling the way I felt when I read Twilight and was so captivated and caught up in their story. Again there are similarities but nothing that felt like "copying" by any means.
THIS SERIES was so refreshing and exciting and I truly enjoyed it! There's a spinoff series about another character that I LOVED and can't wait to read about as well!! IT'S FREE ALSO so I've already clicked!! (I'll add the link to that below as well!)
I'm giving this book 4 stars because it did stall out a bit for me (during the first and third book) and because I save my 5stars for ...OMG, I WANNA HAVE YOUR BOOK BABY. But that being said, I will definitely be watching this author and reading more by her!
NOW... to get my hand on the paperbacks because this is a GREAT YA series to share!!

The Kindred series feels like a mashup of *The Vampire Diaries* and *Twilight*, with some familiar elements borrowed from Erica Stevens’ other book, *Awakened* (written under her pen name Brenda K. Davies). While I enjoyed some of Erica’s other works, this series just didn’t hit the mark for me. It’s painfully predictable, with little originality in its storytelling.
Devon comes off as a mix of Damon and Stefan from TVD, while Julian also feels like Damon from season 1—a recycled dynamic that doesn’t add anything fresh. Cassie starts as a strong, compelling character but devolves into someone who constantly runs into danger without thinking, and she seems to lose her spark once she starts dating Devon. Why does her strength as a character have to vanish just because she’s in a relationship?
The love triangle between Cassie, Devon, and Julian feels like a TVD rerun, and the whole concept of the Elders gives heavy *Twilight* vibes. By the fourth book, I was so bored that I couldn’t finish it ut somehow I did finish the entire series. The side characters were sidelined in favor of the overly dramatic trio, and Cassie’s reckless decisions just became frustrating.
As for the plotline about vampire children—it had some potential, but it wasn’t executed well. The twist with the Elders wanting to create monster children instead of killing them was interesting, but it didn’t make up for the lackluster main storyline. Devon and Cassie might be a good couple in theory, but their plot was just... underwhelming.
On the bright side, Julian was a standout character. He deserved so much better, and I really hope his story in the spin-off is an improvement. Fingers crossed it has a more engaging and original plot because he deserves a chance to shine.
Overall, The Kindred series had potential, but it felt too much like a patchwork of familiar tropes and predictable drama. If you’re a diehard fan of Erica Stevens’ work, you might enjoy it more, but for me, it fell flat.
If I see the words magnificent and face together again any time soon I'll scream! I had bought the first book in this series, , some time ago and wasn't very impressed. When the whole series was offered at a discount I thought I'd try again. Stupid me.
The heroine, Cassie is hormonal, she cries ALL the time. For someone that they keep saying is so strong, Cassie always seems to be in some kind of emotional crisis. A vampire slayer who can't even stand up to the people bulling her at school. Yeah, we all have faith she's going to save the day. Most of the series (60%) does nothing but wax and wain on Cassie's feelings for Devon and vise versa. I don't think I ever did so much eye rolling in my life. Damn, I need an aspirin.
I was shocked that this series was so disappointing because I immensely enjoyed The Captive and Ravening Series also written by Ms. Stevens. I also have The Survivor Chronicles. I'm a little leery of what to expect based on this. Well let's just hope this was a one off and it won't happen again. (fingers crossed.)
Let me just say, read Julian books before these. If you don’t, you’ll have a hard time believing his love story with Quinn. If you do read his first, you’ll not find this series as confusing. Cassie is really Buffy, and while I find her adorable & her love for Devon & her family really lovely. She’s a very infuriating girl. She’s too damn good, too damn forgiving & very idiotic at times. She is forever getting her ass in trouble, because SHE can risk it all for her love ones. But her love ones aren’t allowed to risk it got her. I seriously wanted to punch her 75% of the time. Devon was a really good book hero. I like his approach to most things aside of Robert. Julian was the best thing of this series, and he more than deserved his own series. Chris really should have gotten his own series. I feel cheated now looking at how Chris story wrapped up. Still it was a pretty fun read.
Nothing compared to braith and aria but STILL great
The captive series has me buyinh any book writtem by this author. This was more young adult than the captive series was but the saving grace was sadly the first really close death (no spoilers lol) and when julian came into the picture. Mannnnnn I love me some julian lol I wish there was more between him and cassie. More conflict more love shown but this was a great read and really didnt disappoint at all. The first book is pretty slow. The second picks up a little and the third explodes into massive character building and action with a drizzle of romance. Loved it!
Block LOTS of Time - This is a Roller Coaster Ride
I started this series and resented sleeps interruption! This series is everything you want in a story -- romance, mystery, adventure good guys, bad guys, redemption, betrayal, hope, great fight scenes. I never understood why it is called young adults. It is just GREAT writing! No sex scenes but plenty of sacrificial love among friends, family, and lovers. Oh gifted hunters, vampires and humans!!! Just great work! Thanks for entertaining me for days. Now I must return to my life!!!
The author takes you to a world where vampire hunters are almost extinct and their lives are limited for what they do but they are out there for a good cause to save human lives. Cassie was brought into the hunter and age thirteen that is when she realized her life forever changed and little did she know it was later that it will forever change her completely when she meets Devon. This series was awesome! And I’m glad the ending was a happy one even though there was a lot of death. I honestly and definitely recommend this series if you are into vampires. Happy reading!
I'm a lover of all things vampire. I like to see how authors interpret their representation of vampires abilities and vulnerabilities. The Kindred Series did not disappoint. I was transported through the pages into the world of Cassie and Devon. The story line and characters were fantastically well written. One of the best vampire series I've read. Loved it!
What an amazing book. So many twists and turns, heartbreak and love. This series is so very hard to put down. You just have to find out what happens next. If you love paranormal books, then you'll love this series. Happy Reading
I loved all the characters in this series. Love or hate they were so well thought out they remained so real to me to the very end. I highly recommend this series for any Paranormal fan.
I have come to realise that I love reading whole series at once. I get so entranced with it,I just can't put it down. We see Cassie journey from a teen into adulthood and watch her grow along with her family, not forgetting the gorgeous vamps along for the ride!
This was a really great collection. Loved the intensity between the characters. Also the characters personalities are easy to enjoy. I had the first 3 books on audiobook as well all very enjoyable. I definitely recommend this collection.
This series was a great read. It was so captivating that I couldn't stop reading each book. If you enjoy never-ending adventures, fighting demons, love, and true friendship, you will love these books!
Loved it so much. First Erica Stevens I've read. It didnt disapoint. So many more book to read. Can't wait to see what Devon and Cassie and Juiluan do next.

I wish it would not have ended. I laughed, cried, fell in love and rage with these characters. Couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of Erica Stevens work.
I loved this series! Her vampires are awesome. No sparkles, more human like. Julian, who is hot, grows so much in the storyline. Devon and Cassie are a wonderful couple. Grab this bundle and enjoy!!
