The walls of all the houses started talking: As the walls of the houses started talking, the unexpressed from the human life started being expressed. The East said, “just because we have been raised in a right angle, we are called as walls. The soil from which we are formed is one and the same. There is no difference between the inner and outer formation. We do not divide anybody. Men have made rooms for their convenience. We have just been with them. Humans also don’t be with each other like we do. The walls between humans are stronger than us. They are built on the bricks of ego. The plaster is of leniency and humbleness. The construction is very firm and sturdy. They have ego of ‘not having ego’. And just to show this off, they have such celebrations.” West said, “I do not understand this relations between humans. Ego creates misunderstanding in relations. If you cherish friendship more than your life, there will not be any reason for misunderstanding. One should feel safe in friendship. Whenever there is seepage in a wall, people seek advice of architects, engineers and all. No engineer around the world would be ever able to tell the reason of the seepage at a particular place, because they are the ‘tears of wall’!”
Vasant Purushottam Kale, popularly known as Va Pu, was Marathi writer who wrote short stories, novels, and biographical sketches. He authored more than 60 books. His well-known books include Partner, Vapurza, Hi Waat Ekatichi, and Thikri.
Strangely enough, an author renowned and appreciated for his understanding of human nature makes the usual mistake that most males do, due chiefly to a male ego on par with that of a racist that prevents clear thinking.
Racists assume, not only that their - unproven and baseless - assumptions regarding beauty are not only true but therefore held universally; what's worse, they assume a superiority of not just looks but of every other sort, and hold that a proof is provided thereof via physical conquest of others, by chiefly butchering.
This isn't conscious thought, but is of the level that matches early puberty in normal human male. Most adults do know that they do not deteriorate in areas other than physical as age advances, but they fail spectacularly to apply this to gaps of race, gender, or other superficial areas.
And in assuming that young women dress or wish to look good only if males look at them, author makes the same stupid mistake.
Anyone with slightest experience or knowledge knows better. Males rarely know what a woman wears, much less other details. What they also don't know is that women may wish to please a husband, but rarely care about generic male attention, much less relate their dressing to this attention.
As for scientific observation, research shows that most males react to presence of a female exactly in the same way regardless of every other factor but age; that difference of age brings about a reaction only slightly lesser.
Women, however, do notice other women - in detail - and while that provides a negative feedback in the sense that most women do try avoiding criticism from other women, chief motivations for a woman to pay attention to herself and to wish to look well is exactly identical with those of blossoming of a flower. No more, no less.
It might seem poetic when poets compare women to flowers and male attention to that of butterflies and other similar agents flitting amongst flowers for honey and saffron, but it's deep wisdom of a perception not quantifiable.
Considering the standard of other books of Va Pu which I adored this one is nothing, its a so so book. I was expecting too much from this book, probably after reading G.A. Kulkarni's books I might have felt this one is just okay.
