A Murder at the Retirement Home... A Missing Woman... And Missing Money!
Cookie can't believe it when Jerry tells her that her friend Sheila Tucker is dead. Everybody loved Sheila and she didn't have an enemy in the world... or so Cookie thought.
Sheila must have had at least one.
So who could have hated her enough to throw her from the balcony of her room at the retirement home where she lived?
If murder wasn't bad enough... Sheila's daughter is also missing and so is Sheila's secret fortune.
Can Cookie and Jerry solve the mystery before anything else happens?
I loved this series of Cookie and Cream mysteries!! I'm so glad that Jerry was in them making sure she was safe even if she didn't need his protection. I'm really happy it ended the way it did. Can't wait for the next book. Thank you K.J. Enrich for your great work.
Amazing. Terrific read. The death of her friend has Cookie in a spin. Where is her friend's daughter? Why is the new Chief so against finding the real killer? Can Cookie foil the Chief's and the killers plans without more bloodshed and find the missing money? The ending was a true aaah! moment. Great read
Boy was this one intense. Full off twists and uncertainty. I had it narrowed down to 3 suspects and was entirely wrong. I was so pleased with the ending. It has been a while since I read the first ones in the series I think I need to go back and read them again.
Great fun series. I was a bit down and this series really helped me. I enjoyed reading all 4 books. Thank you very much. Young people don't realize that US seniors are still young on theo inside. Thanks again.
I love this series. There's always so much action and mystery in them. Can't Wait for the next one already! K.j. Emrick is one of my favorite authors. Check out her Darcy Sweet mystery series also.
While not as intricate in it's twists and turns, or as abundant in it suspects, this episode is non the less wonderful for its adventure and intigue. Cookies abilty to make the pieces fit perfectly is always a wonder to read.
