Can you imagine thumbing through your daily mail and finding a letter from Jesus Christ? Not a prank, not a hoax, but the genuine article - a letter from heaven, from the risen Lord, written personally to you and your church.
If hearing from God sounds intriguing, then this little book is for you. Several decades after His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, Jesus revealed Himself, in a vision from heaven, to the apostle John. Jesus directed John to write as He dictated seven letters to seven communities of faith scattered around Asia Minor.
These personal notes are found in Revelation chapters two and three. In Sincerely, Jesus we will look at the amazing relevance each letter holds for life in the twenty-first century. All Jesus asks of us is to read with a listening heart and a willingness to make the adjustments, both in our personal lives, and in our churches, that the Holy Spirit prescribes.

I really enjoyed this book. It explores the 7 letters to the 7 churches in the Book of Revelation. Our pastor will soon be teaching on Revelation and the teachings in this book will surely enhance my pastor's study. I've leant it to a friend and plan on reading it again when I get it back. Edward Goble relates what was happening in the first century to explain the details of the letters and then relates it to our times so that we too can receive a message from Jesus.
The concept really drew me in receiving a letter from Jesus, how awesome would that be? This is a great study tool as it looks at the scriptures and letters written in a whole new light. I could easily see it being issued at my University.
Sincerely Jesus explores the letters Jesus wrote to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation. We are privy, in depth, what the each of the seven churches has learned and how we, as believers, can use these lessons in our personal journey and as disciples of the His church. The author reminds us that our God remains the same then, now and forever - His great love for us since the beginning of time (see John 3:16). Outstanding study tool, especially in bridging the gap between the laws of years past and applying them to our present every day walk.
A very slow but easy read because it is so thought provoking. Imagine Jesus sending you a letter! It really isn't so amazing after all because His words have been here all along.... In the Bible :-)
Very thought provoking study tool. Imagine Jesus sending me a letter! It not so wild a thought because I know His words have been sent to me through the Bible :-)
