Ancestral Magic: The Awakening - a novella

Rate this book
Magic flows through the veins of Layla Waters. But, she has long denied her magic, as she has denied the passion that once connected her to Seth Springs.
The magic that is her birthright can only be denied for so long. When it surges in her, in response to an ages-old danger that once again threatens her people, so does the long held back passion she shared with Seth.
Layla can no longer deny her magick, or her desire for Seth.
Together they will fight against the evil forces that wish to use the coven’s powerful mountain spring water for their own purposes. Layla and Seth’s coven was granted control of the spring that strengthens their magic.
If a competing coven from the south can gain control of the water, there is no knowing just how much havoc they can wreck upon their enemies.
So, once again, Layla must embrace her magic. And join with Seth in the fight to hold back evil. Even if her heart is ripped apart after the battle and she is the ultimate victim of the conflict?
Adult content, with graphic sex and language. This is a different type of book for Riley but there is a bit of crossover of characters. A bit more of a naughty read than Riley's usual books.

I really enjoyed this one! It was a fun and spicy read -- exactly what I was looking for! Layla and Seth are just electric together. I enjoyed the bit of paranormal here, and the magic was exciting. A good amount of danger to keep things exciting. 5 stars!
