The King Brothers: Rise Of An Empire

Rate this book
From one mother came four ambitious, strong-willed and determined brothers by name of Vice, Boosie, Angelo, and Vidal. They were known around the slums of Chicago as The King Brothers. Love and loyalty was the foundation they stood on top of. The King Brothers raised each other while watching their mother finesse the streets.
Vice, the oldest brother only valued two things out of life, his family and his money. As he grew older he realized that there was more to life than hustling, kicking it with his trigger finger soldiers and training his pit bulls. He now desired something of substance…a woman… that could become his wife.
Boosie was what you would refer to as “more than what meets the eye”. It wasn’t a secret that he loved the streets and the streets loved him back. But once his daughter is born he’s ready to wrap up the fast life for the sake of being around to see his baby girl grow older.
Coming home from a five year bid Angelo only had one thing on his mind and that was money. Money ruled everything in his small world even while he was locked down. Whereas the other brothers are itching for retirement, Angelo is just getting started with rebuilding the King’s empire.
Vidal, the baby of the bunch is also the troubled child. Picking up his first gun at eight years old everyone around him saw that he was headed for self-destruction…except his brothers.
New-comer author, Dream is hitting the ground running with this explosive, mind-blowing page turning series that is guaranteed to grasp your attention. The King’s Brothers are a group of hustlers like no other. When the blood is no longer thick and loyalty is being tested what do they do? Their mother’s past comes back to haunt them and leaves the lives of the ones closest to them in jeopardy.
Will the King brothers ever be able to look at their precious mother the same? Will Vidal take heed to his brothers advice and slow down in the fast lane? Will Angelo fall in line and stay out of trouble? Boosie’s only concern is his daughter so will he be able to balance business and being a father? Vice is who makes the decisions but with someone new in his life he’s ready to be done with the game.

Okay

This was just okay. It's another story about the brothers running their family drug empire. They were all having their share of drama but there was nothing outstanding going on. I was looking for more action but none yet. There were a lot of errors though. Maybe it'll get better in part 2.

This was such a very good and entertaining story from start to finish.I love that the writer gives us a full story with a developed storyline. The characters are developed to a point you are getting a look at what makes them think and do the things that they do.You are getting a wonderful look at family and friends the dynamics of the relationships. The writer weaves a really good story and holds your attention to the end.Looking forward to the next installment!!

Good Read

Lawwd knows I hate getting through a good book and part 2 ain't even out yet! Loved the story but I wished I got to know the characters more in depth! Vice should have been way more smarter being that he was the boss! I hope him and Denim work things out, they seem perfect together! Rich and Angelo needs to be gone! Some family and friends ain't shit and loyalty don't mean a Damn thing to them..Shame! I could go on an on about this story but Dream did a good job writing her first book! Now come on with part 2!!

This is the authors debut book and my first read and I couldn't put it down, so definitely not my last. Really good read and so entertaining and interesting from beginning to end and then some. The storyline so how well it was developed and I know it's more to come in the next installment. Characters well developed and showed insight within their family and friends. The author held my attention with a really good story and plot til the end. Can't wait to see what happens in the next installment. Job well done Dream.

My oh my!

I hated to come to the end of this booking knowing that there has to be a part 2. As of this reading, Vice is my favorite character. I can just picture Vice and my oh my! The book has some typos but it really does take away from the storyline. The storyline is great. I moved this book from beginning to end. It's a great story, can't wait to see how it ends and see who gets what they deserve.

Rock on, Dream. First time reading anything by you. Keep up the good work.

Great!

Great read from beginning to end. Each of the King Brothers have different issues going on in their lives, but also a few snakes in their midst. Angelo will definitely feel the wrath of his Brothers once his secret is found out and Nia will feel Boosie's wrath when he finds it what she's been up to. That was a powerful ending and I can't wait to see what happens in part 2

Thumbs Up For This One

This book grabbed my attention from day one. It's really good. I like Vidal and Mel. I even like Bossie, but Angelo and their friend Rich are despicable. I like d Vice in the beginning, but find it difficult to like we character who will kill innocent children. He's got to be mentally ill. Can hardly wait for the next book to come out.

Good Read

This book was just a!right to me. It had potential to be a banger but it was to drawn out and a bit all over the place. I loved the characters just wish they were developed a little better. Hopefully part 2 is better.

So Good

Dream definitely has a pen game that will draw you end and hold you hostage until you'll left hanging on the cliff! Loyalty cant even be trusted among family! I'm definitely waiting on part 2 to see how things turn out for the King brothers!
