After losing the shelter of the flowerpot he called home, Snail must make his way into the shade before the hot sun dries him out, and his many friends cheer him on in his slow and difficult journey.
Slow and steady eventually scales the wall! The friends are supportive/protective (Cat helps out) but they also aren't particularly encouraging? I'm not sure how great an example of friendship they all are. I like the illustrations, and overall not a bad book, but not a great one either. Better books I'd select for either garden animals or for the value perserverance.
