This is such a great series. The dialogue and humor are outstanding and it's completely unique in that the story revolves around a four person friendship, where all the women happen to be lesbian but are not into each other. Ridiculous situations, seduction, heart, and comedy abound and nothing is predictable.

Not only are the characters written distinctly so you could guess who's talking just from the dialogue but the author manages to make all of the OTHER lesbians they meet, date, or have the misfortune of knowing completely unique and memorable, too.

It's really fantastic writing that is hard to pull off but this author manages to do so.

This isn't really a standalone and you should start with book 1. I found book 1 to be a little funnier than this one but both are great.

4.5 stars. Recommend.

I found I liked this one even better than the first. But no way does it stand alone in my opinion. There were cringe worthy moments, teh funnies, and a little awww at the end. Loved it. Can't wait for book 3 (nudge nudge Vivian says 'Autumn' of 17... tap tap tap, it's Autumn :p ) Also love that she supports a LGBT youth charity with the series. That's pretty stand up.

Ginger, Reagan, Charlie and Lucy are back in book 2 of the Inamorata series, A Good Catch. And what is not to love about these four bff's? We follow them on their adventures and they are hilarious! Book Club Buddy D. and I had to keep our beverages away from the computer during our reading session if that tells you anything :-)

Highlight for me was when Ginger went on this blind date with Jordan Mulk. The scene in the limo was just too funny. But then so was the roller derby and basically every other page in the book. How does Vivan Sage come up with this stuff?

Another highlight for me is knowing there will be 12 (!) novellas planned in this series plus a novel length prequel about Sloan (Yes! I love Sloan!!). Downside is... we have to wait until Fall to read part 3.

5 fat stars from D. and me! Vivian Sage rocks!!

update June 22, 2019:

It's still great reading this again. Sad fact is that after book 3 there were no more updates and I guess real life interfeared for Sage. It seems she is working again though, there is even a short Ginger pre-quel story available as a free download.

I'm dialing it back to 4 stars

"I want to hear more about this perverted robot."

I never before realized how arousing hockey could be, or, at least, someone describing hockey to someone else. I was wrong, and now I know.

This is the second story in this series that follows four lesbian friends in Dallas: Ginger, Charlie, Lucy, and Reagan. It is somewhere around two or more weeks after the first story and things are progressing along as somewhat expected, and somewhat unexpected. But let's not spoil things, eh?

The four continue dating and wandering Dallas. Ginger continues needing one of her friends to go with her for things (this time it's Lucy who helps her, though Lucy . . . well, spoilers and stuff). Sports is the theme for this story - soccer, hockey, and roller derby.

Ginger has been texting and communicating with someone she meet through on-line dating and she's going to have both her first face-to-face with the woman and first date with her at a hockey game (in a luxury box). As already noted, Lucy goes with her (it's somewhat complicated as to how Lucy ended up going with Ginger on her date). The game is Friday night.

Meanwhile Charlie and AJ are still hanging on as a couple, and AJ has talked Charlie into joining her Roller Derby team. Charlie is super reluctant but . . .. Her first game is that Saturday night.

And the fourth friend, Reagan, is also going on a date on Friday night that's sports related - she's going to go watch a woman play soccer.

A fun, humorous, slice of life story with romance, and bits of sex here and there. And erotic stuff. I liked most of the women meet in this story, including people like Brynn (I won't explain who she is but it's obvious). Though didn't like Jordan, not that I was supposed to, and I didn't like Kara either (not sure if I was supposed to have feelings one way or another about Kara).

And on to the next story . . . (there's mention of a third story coming . . . um, I think it said mid-Autumn or something like that).

"Okay, okay, so you know some of her extended family and they're rich," Charlie agreed, "But what about Jordan? What do the two of you have in common, besides the fact that you both have hair?"

Another great installment

I really liked the first book and if it's been sometime since you read it, I recommend a quick skim as a refresher. The boom picks up a few weeks after the first one ends. As you maybe be able to guess from the cover this one will revolve around sports...hockey, roller derby, and soccer. I think my favortie story of the four was Ginger's and her blind date with duchebag. I look forward to hopefully having her realize Jess is a good fit for her but, without giving anything away, I really hope what Doe said (if I interpreted it correctly) doesn't happen mainly because I like the dynamic of the group.
Anyway, if you liked the first one then you will like this one. Fall 2017 can't get here fast enough for the next installment!!!

Book 2 topped the first Book of the Inamorata series.
I had an amazing time with my Book Club Buddy C* - you will be laughing out loud guaranteed!
You just *have* to love all these different characters, so real described by the author.
This circle of friends - (Reghan, Lucy, Charlie and Ginger) are always ready to get or fall (wink wink)
into another adventure.
A very hot and attractive cheerleader, a blind Date in a Strech Limo (imagine that) or being involved with a whole roller derby team...
I can hardly wait till Fall for ... BOOK 3

Sporting chance

Theses four friends are very amusing. They are very loyal and supportive of each other. You can't help but hope each of them finds their special someone. I'm on to book 3.

Good story

So, I felt the first book in this series ended abruptly and I guess this one kinda does too. It may be intentional , to make you want to read the next one. If that's the case, good marketing! 😊
