Dom Gianni takes a lot of punishment in the hockey rink, but when he sees Molly McCarran getting beaten up by her husband, he’s ready to throw down his gloves and fight for her. But Molly isn’t about to trust another man—and Dom is already skating on thin ice with his NHL-mandated probation. Besides, how could a hotshot player like Dom really care about a woman so much older than he?
After seven years of an in-name-only marriage, Cody Armstrong is determined to show his wife Size he stuck around for more than the kid. But when someone from the past shows up on Christmas Eve, Cody's big surprise--as well as his marriage--may not make it through the holidays.
Drake Riser is a tough guy on the ice, but deep down he just wants to settle down. Major Erin Gentry has physical and emotional scars from an IED explosion. When they meet at a masquerade ball, Drake thinks Erin is exactly what he needs, but she thinks she’s too damaged to get involved with the gorgeous hockey hunk. Erin is trying to figure out what happened two years ago and put her demons to rest, while someone from her past is trying to destroy her. Drake is ready to do anything to give them a shot at love, but will they be able to put the pieces together in time to win the face-off--and the game?
Karl Martennson is 6’4” of Swedish hockey-playing deliciousness who wants something more than a different girl every night. Kate Lansing is a PR whiz with trust issues who has spent her whole life battling her weight. Their one-night-stand has the potential to be more, but Karl’s crazy ex-girlfriend is determined to stop them before they reach the goal. When Karl has to go home to Sweden for a family emergency, his ex makes her move. If Kate can't find a way to trust him, she might find herself permanently benched.
This book contains sexual situations and strong language not suitable for younger audiences.
3 book set with a bonus novella. Dom & Molly's story involves domestic violence, and there are a lot of very tense scenes in the story. Dom is a hockey player, just sent to Las Vegas to be in a new expansion team. There is a lot of chemistry between the two, but Molly's character just didn't really resonate with me.
Cody & Suze's story is a novella; most of their story is told in Dom's book, which adds an additional surprise to their romance. Too short, and I would have enjoyed a complete story about them with all the twists and turns.
Drake & Erin's story was HOT with a lot of intrigue, tension, and conflicts and resolution. Drake is a hockey player and Erin is a Marine, wounded in an IED blast that killed the love of her life. Chemistry, nail-biting suspense, and some twists and turns that made the story.
Karl & Kate's story was a tough read, more from the emotional stress than the writing style. Kate's mother is a piece of work and she struggles with self-esteem from weight issues even though she runs a successful PR business. Karl plays for the Las Vegas Sidewinders Hockey expansion team and falls quickly for Kate. Family problems with an ex and his family in Sweden throw them both into a relationship spin.
All stories (except novella) are standalone, but the characters are found in each of the other stories. HFN endings with adult subjects, sex, chemistry, and hockey.
The first book in this set introduced us to the Sidewinders team and shows that they are more than just a hockey team, they are family. Dominic has anger issues which have led to him joining the Sidewinders and his last chance in the NHL. Molly's husband beats her regularly but this time Dominic and Cody come across them and rescue her. Great intro to the Sidewinders
Cody is the team captain and his marriage is not the conventional kind. He and Suzy married after a drunken night following the death of his best friend who happened to be her boyfriend/fiancé as she discovered she was pregnant and unsure who was the father. Lovely addition to the Sidewinders series
Drake and Erin meet at a masquerade ball held by Drake's sister Mac, a top plastic surgeon. Erin is one of Mac's patients after being injured on tour with the marines. Drake helps Erin to love herself again. Beautiful story
Karl is Drake's roommate and Kate is one of Erin's best friends. Kate is a PR guru but has little to no self confidence about her body as she is larger than her friends. They spend the night together and Kate sneaks out thinking he will regret it but far from it. A story full of twists and turns. Kate is amazing x
Overall a must have boxset by my top 1 click author
Well if you like men big and sexy read this first box set Of the Las Vegas Sidewinders. These guys are hot. The story lines were great. Characters (did I mention the guys are hot) were great. I binge read this first set. I’m not really a hockey person but I love to read about them. The guys are sexy and hot, yeah yeah I know I mentioned this before. Now the woman they are great too. They are strong (one not so much to begin with but she becomes strong)they are all believable characters. I laughed, cried and did a head scratch a few times. ❤️ Now I always let you all know up front if there is descriptive sex. That is a yes. Come on they play a ruff sport and when they are not playing hockey, no they are not always having sex off the ice. Ha I know what you thought I was going to say. But if you like hockey yes hot men and sexy scenes Read this set of books. Robin
From the synopsis these books sounded great but I quickly realised I'd been taken in. In the first book 'Molly & Doms' story. The writing at times was cringeworthy the actions of the characters where totally unbelievable and contradictory and whilst I knew it was work of fiction the storyline was ridiculous in parts. Hopeing that it may get better i went on to book 2 simply for the fact it was only 6 chapters long. But when the writer made derogatory childish referrals about some of the characters (Melanie was crossed eyed- as if it was a character flaw) I gave up. Didnt waste my time reading anymore. Such a pity because written properly the actual base story idea was good but was unfortunately let down by poor interpretations and bad writing skill of the author

Volume one of the LVS has romance, suspense, and humor. Some many of readers favorite romance genres can be found in this set, meaning there's something for every romance reader to enjoy. Important topics: domestic violence, anorexia, and mental illness are discussed. Though not in great detail, Mizera does express the importance of seeking help. I really love the characters and the family they have created. The books are well written and will send readers on an emotional rollercoaster.
Molly met Dom while her husband was trying to beat her to death. She suffered a miscarriage because of the beating. Dom takes her home and sets about getting her out of her husband 's reach.
Cody and Suze have been married for years by didn't really have a marriage. Then they find out that everything isn't always what it seems and they start working on being married.
Drake meets Erin at a party and the go have a one night stand that turns into so much more. His sister is a plastic surgeon and is going to help Erin with her burns.
There are three regular length stories and one novella in this box set. Each one can be read as stand alone but they have interconnected characters. Each one revolves around the NFL players. And the ladies who eventually hold their hearts. I enjoyed each one differently. And read how each hero stood up and was willing to protect their women. There was enough angst to keep me reading way past my normal bedtime.
I give the Las Vegas Sidewinders Vol 1 by Kat Mizera four stars. This set includes the first three books plus book 1.5 of the series which includes Dom, Cody's Christmas Surprise, Drake, and Carl. Once you read these books you will fall in love with the whole series and you will want to know what happens.
If you like Sports Romance that have dark areas and mysteries to be solved you will love this whole series. I highly recommend this whole series!
Wow so much drama in a 4 series book. Love the love stories but not all the drama. I would however liked to seen an excerpt of what had happen to all the villains. I'm seriously hoping the the put Theresa in front of a firing squad. I don't understand why Karl didn't hire the same security firm as Dom & Drake to find out more of what she was up to. All stories end on a happily ever after but wow the drama getting there was heart pounding.
Storylines are relatively good although somewhat dragged out. Karl’s book was the most frustrating of the box set because the h’s insecurities reached a ridiculous point and the plot with the villain was too far fetched. This whole volume though is in serious need of a thorough proof read and a damn good editor. POV’s switching from one paragraph to the next, missing words, incorrect words and just generally messy
This is a collection of the first 4 books in a series of hockey romance stories with a bit of danger and suspense thrown in. I would rate it a 4.5 stars rating because the heroine in Karl's book annoyed me. Also people with mental health issues tend to be the bad guy which I didn't really like. Otherwise great books!
The men of the Las Vegas Sidewinders, and the women they love, four stories all in one box set. All these couples struggle in the beginning and have to work hard to find their happy ever afters, but all these stories have characters with different personality types and so many sweet moments. A chance to binge read a fun series.
I only read the first story, but the writing style wasn't for me. I'm more a first person POV kind of reader. The story line was good, although the heroine was a bit of a winger about being old and fat although she was the only one who seemed to think this. She went on about it a lot!!!
I am a big fan of older women/younger man and hockey romances so I read Dominic, the first book in this series. It was so good that I bought this box set,, and the rest of the books in the series. There is a lot of drama and some of it is a little fantastic but the romance and emotions are there. Highly recommend this series.
I am a huge fan of Kat Mizera, but had never read the Sidewinders books, though I love the Alaska Blizzards series..I'm not sure why it's taken so long to read the Sidewinders, but one thing is sure..I wasn't disappointed, these stories have, laughter, love, drama and excitement, and hope..can't wait to read the next box set.
Absolutely wonderful book set. If you love hockey, players with both bad and good qualities, strong women, then the series is for you. In each book, you will find characters from other books in the series, so it's like reading about a family you know. Kat's books definitely take you out of the every day world. I want to live in hers.
I can’t believe I hadn’t read any of the dozens of books I have from author Kat Mizera yet!! This series is amazing! Not only are they great hockey romances but each story has a deeper & edge of your seat suspense story mixed within. I loved each story in this collection & can’t wait to read more
5 stars for Las Vegas Sidewinders Box Set by Kat Mizera
Totally recommend getting this box set by Kat Mizera. Four unbelievable hockey stories. Kat Mizera's hockey sports romance are well written and keep you wanting more. Love reading this series in a box set.
I am not a hockey fan but damn. This series is getting good. It's not just about hockey, its so much more. The lives of professional athletes are scrutinized but this series allows me see them as people too. Great series.
Great stories that make you smile, fan yourself vigorously, grind you teeth and sets your heart beating rapidly with so many suspenseful twists and turns that you are hooked from page one!
The Las Vegas Sidewinders Vol. 1 is full of hot hockey players who are falling for the most amazing women. There is just enough drama, hot sex and HEA. If you are a hockey romance fan this box set is for you!
Dom was my favorite, Karl my least favorite. Solid hockey romance, but by the time I finished this set I was pretty sick of the over-the-top drama. I'm going to wait a while before I finish this series.
All the books were grand. I loved how you used each individual character in all books. They all have a great story line and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the books!
I could not put this box set down....intact I read it over a weekend...just brilliant....I've baught the next box set as I need to know what happens with the other guys....not much housework getting done for the next few days.....thanks Kat 😊
These four stories are all very intense, Sexy and yet still romantic. A lot of suspense is thrown in both on and off the ice as all four couples fight to be together. Absolutely riveting.
I really enjoyed the stories of hockey players and their relationships. There are so many ups and downs and many more problems to solve but all have hea's. Great read
