The galaxy is burning, and the Queen of Demons is ready to play with fire.
Queenie and the Rejects have found the Covenant, but it isn't anything they thought it would be. Never to be the one to give in, she has a new plan to fight back against Thraven and his armies, one that depends on beating the Nephilim at their own game.
She's got the best of motives and the best of intentions, but then again, the road to Hell is littered with both.
It's time to go big or go home, and the Rejects don't have a home.
M.R. Forbes is the author of a growing number of science-fiction series including Rebellion, War Eternal, Chaos of the Covenant, Stars End, and the Forgotten novels. Having spent his childhood trying to read every sci-fi novel he could find (and write his own too), play every sci-fi video game he could get his hands on, and see every sci-fi movie that made it into the theater, he has a true love of the genre across every medium. He works hard to bring that same energy to his own stories, with a continuing goal to entertain, delight, fascinate, and surprise.
He maintains a true appreciation for his readers and is always happy to hear from them.

Book 6, I am writing this with mixed feelings, I love this series and Forbes is an awesome author. The sad part is I am pretty sure book 7 might be the end of the road for the Demon Queen and the rest of Hell's Rejects and I am going to miss them.
Just like the rest in the series the book does not disappoint. The book is full of action and has a lot of twists that you don't see coming. I recommend this whole series to anyone who like science fiction. The series has a great storyline.
A great book. Well written with sympathetic characters and easy to hate villains. The Queen ponders comparative value of the gift of the Shard and that of Lucifer. She concludes that the gift of the Shard is not enough to save the galaxies. So what then? Hayley is fighting with all she has to resist the gift. Will she be able to thwart Thraven's attempt to turn her to his will? The Queen battles two Prophets to gain an army.and then what? I am ready for the next book.
The series isn't a set of 7 books. It's one long book with 7 chapters presented as "books" for easier reading. They are arbitrarily split based on the number of pages. That's why each "book" has a cliff hanger—there is no separate story arch with resolution in each chapter. The whole thing is one endless pulp.
That's why the review is applicable to the whole series and every chapter individually. They are virtually the same plot with too many endless details of action/fighting scenes that just annoy after a couple of times and not enough story, world building, or character development to make it more than a junk space fantasy that feels like a "fast food" type of reading.
Looks like the author was training his writing muscles and repurposed—for the lack of the better word—many ideas and concepts from popular sci-fi books and movies. Think of the Chaos of the Covenant as the Star Wars with less story and more fights where the "force" is replaced with a space vampire blood's similar to the "force" abilities called "gift" and a mix of Suicide Squad and Guardian of the Galaxy movies' characters as "rebels". The whole thing with the blood is taken directly from a vampire stories cookbook. Though in the book the bad characters are never called "space vampires".
So, the book (with its 7 chapters) is space vampire fantasy based on Star Wars ideas and characters borrowed from Suicide Squad and Guardian of the Galaxy, and that is spiced up with stories from different cultures and religions to explain the said space vampires.
I am back to my series, Chaos of the Covenant, and my mind was in a bit of its own chaos trying to transition from the previous story to this one. Obviously I waited a little too long between books.
Soon enough, however, the pieces fell into place. I still admire Forbes’s ability to write a battle scene, but the battle scenes remain my least favorite part of these stories. I do enjoy the creativity: the variety of life forms, of planets, of characters that inspire commitment from the reader.
The path this story is taking is increasingly bizarre, but logical based on events along the way. I have no idea how he will end it, and what redemption there will be for the universes or the main characters, but I intend to find out. Only the final book of the series remains...
This series is a constant flow of raw energy, fight, faith, love. I’ve gobbled up each book an have found that as the series may come to an end soon, I wish it weren’t. I am on the verge of having read everything published by Forbes, he dos not disappoint, EVER! I highly recommend this book to everyone, seeking strength and being strong is something we all relate to.
Thank You, Mr. Forbes, for all the hours I’ve spent with my imagination on the river of your words.
I can’t believe this is coming to an end. It almost makes me want to wait to read the last book in the series. The author continues to add new characters. The characters have unwritten agendas which provide twists and turns to the action. The science involved feels real and factually I had to do research to verify it. Great characters, exciting action; who could ask for more.
Somewhere in the middle of this book, #6, the Rejects started teleporting to various places which was not done in the previous books. Haley is kidnapped. Abbie, her mom, must rescue her. Along the way, many of the Breakers now have the super powers of the gift, Making them nearly invincible! I got this e-book from amazon with kindle unlimited.
A very fast read which will leave you checking your email for the announcement of the release of the next book in the series. If you have not read any of the other books in the series, go to book one and enjoy this ride from the start.
Ok, yes. I'm addicted to this series. I admit it. Despite the rough and slow start, with a premise that is somewhat mind-bending, I can now safely say that this series is amongst my fav.!
Lots of action..well.written. great.dialog. Can't wAit.for.more WhAt else say. Why should I have to screw this shit. If my reviews not good enough b low me.
Outstanding The quest continues for The Rejects and Queenie. New friends/allies are being constantly added and so far, none of the old ones have bitten the big one. There are still surprises, plot twists and plenty of action. Still ,as far as I'm concerned, rated number 1
Just finished number six and the series still has my attention. Very seldom do I binge read a series all the way through without stopping to read something else, before coming back to that series. . Have not done that so far with this one. Great characters and action.
This series doesn’t disappoint if you love the classic space opera genre. I have finished the fifth out of six books and realize that I am going to have to read the rest of Forbes’ books if I want to keep the thrill on.
Queenie is learning the secrets that each side kept and how both sides lied to their people and them selves. Queenie is meeting the neighbors and making new and different friends and allies to gear up for war.
More non-stop action, more twists and turns, more excitement. This series really is a thrill-ride, well-written and very entertaining!! Highly recommended
