His Virgin Bride

Rate this book
Love isn’t an option this time.
There are two choices: say “I do,” or leave forever.

The first time I met James Mason, my number was up. I couldn’t stop smiling. When he talked to me in the parking lot, I knew he’d be the one.

I should have ran when I had the chance.

He looked at me like I was the answer to all his problems. He couldn’t resist. Neither could I.

We fall into our own world, where he promises me all that I can dream of. When he holds me, I’m his everything.

My heart pounds. My body aches. Something inside of me changes. And at the end of all this, I get totally screwed.

He gives me an offer. A proposal for marriage, in exchange for some crap piece of land. I’m left floored. Breathless. Shattered.

When your heart is broken, you start to understand just how the world works. I said I’d never forgive him, but there’s a first time for everything.

Why shouldn’t I be his to have, to hold, and to touch forever?

**His Virgin Bride is a standalone, full length small town romance novel with a HEA and absolutely NO CLIFFHANGERS!**

This lady has a way with words that can melt your heart and something else...
What I could tell you before I started reading this book was that no matter what she writes you will be hooked from the beginning.
Like I already said in my previous reviews Kara Hart has a simple, intense and kinky writing that will leave you in need for a very big fan...
Oh boy!! Just a warning!!!
His Virgin Bride is her latest release and tells the stories of Dr James and Olivia.
James is a well succeed surgeon that lives for his career. He's married to his profession and doesn't have time for other things. When his dad almost demand him to find happiness and live his life without so much work he can make that promise. But will he keep it?
Olivia is finishing college and then she has her life ahead of her. Like most students she has a bunch of student loans and she needs to think of a way to pay it. She has a little secret that she doesn't want to talk about. She wants to fall in love and them give him everything but she hasn't found that someone.
Until one they her friend had this stupid idea...
Jesus!! What a book!! It's beautiful, intense, sexy, wild and so much more.
The plot is magnificent and the interaction between the characters is beautiful, wild and let's just say kinky as well. What is it about an older guy and a young girl that I find so amazing... I really can't explain.
Ahem.... The hot scenes..... Yummy...
Oh boy Kara! You're killing me softly and I'm loving every step of the way.
Will you give Josie her own book? Please say yes... She's hilarious... And she totally deserve her own book.

I loved James but I couldn't quite take to Olivia, I thought her pretty childish at times and couldn't see what James saw in her, but then we can't all be perfect or all stories would be the same, well done Kara Hart

This book was MEH.
It's not like it is bad or something. But it's just meh. Boring. I didn't feel the book. H was too decent. h was desperate virgin.
If you want to read the book.....fine no problem. But if you want skip this book......then also no problem. It's nothing exceptional. Just plain boring. There were some other free books in this book. But after reading this I didn't even bother to go further.

Olivia is trying hard to get the grades needed to graduate. Just a few more classes and then she is done. Today was just supposed to be another class and back to studying. That is until that gorgeous surgeon speaker was there today. Now Olivia's being pushed to talk to him by her BFF. Um, hi......

James is a very well known top surgeon. He is not feeling good though, he misdiagnosed a patient, and important one too. So he is helping a friend out and guest speaking in her class today. James just wants to do his job and be awesome at it, he has his dad telling him he needs a wife. James spots the gorgeous girl in the class, and somehow words are lost.

Olivia is very standoffish and quiet cynical, especially when it comes to James, and he is drawn to her like a moth to a flame. They banter a lot, and then they make up, blame it on the age difference - maybe When she comes clean she is a virgin, James is not just a take and go kind of a guy. They both develop feelings for each other quickly and hard. James is not afraid to show or tell those feelings. Olivia is not so easy to break. She actually is angry and acts out.

There is fighting and making up, and more fighting between these two. The big secret that James is hiding comes out, and they break up. Things seem hopeless to James about ever winning her back, and time goes by. Olivia agrees but is really cruel and rude about it, and very very greedy too. But James has another secret up his sleeve, only this one is better and Olivia is the center of it. What is being said is beyond her, how can he be so generous after she has been so cruel and greedy? It still seems this is not a match made in heaven at all....but things start to change. James tries not to lose hope and give up, and Olivia comes to a silent understanding about James. Now is it too late?

Sad things happen, more fighting and making up happen, and then a very happy ending for these two. The ups and downs all seem to be trivial and best left in the past for these two as well.

Well, this is an interesting story!
I honestly was on the fence about how I felt about this book, still am a bit. James is an excellent surgeon who is reasonably satisfied with the way his life is going, but when tragedy falls upon his close knit family- it hits him hard. His father makes an outlandish request of him if he wants to things in the family.
Meeting young Oliva after a lecture he did for one his College Professor friends, he soon realizes this smart, witty woman, could be the answer to everything.
* Cracks Knuckles* OK so, I am pretty sure my range of emotions mirrored Oliva's while reading this book ( EH )
Maybe my assumption is off here- but I thought she was to be portrayed as a smart, mature women..I did not feel like she was
I am chuckling as I write this because I still have a DEEP dislike for Oliva' s character almost 48 hours after reading the book.. when she was all "*oh crap I forgot all about his ___, now he can use that excuse *I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room.
(*not the exact quote)
The girl was all over the place, I for the life of me, could not figure out WHY he would want someone like her when his good friend and mentor kept giving him advice. I was thinking yep take the advice.. haha of course then that would not have made for much of a story... but just like in life, I do not have to like someone for it to work for someone else!
This frustrating ( for me ) fake marriage, romance had a heart tugging storyline behind it all, some sexiness I did not see coming, and well-placed humor wrapped in the dramatics that regardless of my feelings for Oliva kept me reading this crazy train of a tale. I had to know how it was going to turn out!
I look forward to reading more from this author in the future

His Virgin Bride is a sexy, sometimes sad, romance. James is a premier surgeon whose mother is dying of cancer. His father wants him to settle down and marry before he gets too old. Then James meets Olivia, a woman 12 years younger than he is, at the university where he's just given a lecture. He's instantly attracted to her innocence. Pretty soon, though, she's not so innocent any more and she's giving him her v-card. James and Olivia have a lot of work though if they want a relationship to work because he's got a proposal for her that's going to break her heart.

As sexy as His Virgin Bride was, and as much as I loved James, I can't honestly rate it 5 stars because I could not stand Olivia. She's immature, bratty, self-absorbed and quite frankly, didn't deserve an awesome guy like James at all. If she had been more mature, had behaved a lot more like a regular 23 year old and not a 17 or 18 year old, perhaps I would have liked her. But, the way she's written just drove me crazy. Aside from Olivia, though, I liked His Virgin Bride. It's sexy, even emotional at times, and James is the perfect BBF.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

A couple with an age gap of thirteen years…
He, James, is a well known surgeon in his mid-thirties, questioning his life goals and his achievements, about to loose his mother because of cancer, trying to hold up for his sister and father, being always devoted to everybody that is important to him…
She, Olivia, is a grade student, sassy, cynical, not sure what she wants to do with her life after graduation, questioning love, marriage and all the “old fashioned” values, kind of egoistical…
When they meet it is insta-chemistry but at first they are denying any deep feelings…
The characters felt to me like old acquaintances, warm and accustomed.
The author has an amazing talent in creating such authentic protagonists.
This is a profound story about love and death, finding and loosing and letting go!
I often had to stop reading to digest the content or to control my tears.
This truly is an absolute must read!

I received this book in advance for a voluntary honest review. This was my first book by Kara Hart and I really enjoyed it. James is a world class surgeon with an ailing mother and a father who believes family can solve anything. Under pressure to get married by his father, James considers the idea but quickly pushes it aside. Olivia is a college student and virgin who longs for a meaningful relationship before she gives herself to a man. When James lectures in Olivia's class her meddlesome friend tries to set them up. There may be a fifteen year age difference but James' experience will win Olivia over. As two people who think this will never amount to anything fall in love a secret ruins everything when Olivia learns that James is using her to appease his father's ultimatum of marrying or not receiving the family home. The thing is, James would rather have Olivia than the house, but will she take him back? Great story and look forward to more from Kara Hart.

Olivia is a senior in college, a virgin and isn't sure what she exactly wants to do with her health degree. James is a surgeon, very successful, extremely sexy and his mother is very ill at this moment. When James goes to the college to talk to a class, Olivia's friend Josie is determined to have Olivia meet him. She feels that she is holding onto her v-card for no reason and is missing out on life. James is 35 and Olivia is 23. When they start to go out on a few dates, will they be able to overcome the age difference, the differences that are in their life and will they want the same things? Since I'm not that type of reviewer to give the book away, you will have to read it yourself. I laughed, cried and felt the characters were great to read about. Oh what a beautiful story. James is a very talented Surgeon, has a loving family but needs something more in life at some point, well he is only 35. When he meets Olivia at college he is instantly interested. Olivia is only young at 23 and trying to finish finals, plus deciding what to do afterwards. James does love Olivia but he has secrets which could tear them apart. He knows he will do anything to keep her but he is emotionally torn at the moment as his mum is terminally ill. A story that made me cry but then made me laugh. James and Olivia do love each other but oh boy, do they go through the wringer to get some happiness. Fantastic story, loved it.

There's probably a good reason why this is KU and why the author has added like 4 extra books to this, maybe she was hoping one of them would garner a good review? No idea, but let's just say, the titled book was not very well written. It's not even a matter of typos - which it has, but the fact that the dialogue was poor, the story/characters inconsistent, it was not very well structured, I mean, I just ended up skipping a lot of this book and ended up not really reading it. I skimmed through the rest of the books included and they're equally as rough.

Sorry, but honestly speaking (which I would do even if I had received it as an ARC), this is not worth the time to read. Just skip it, there are so many much better written books out there.

His Virgin Bride By Kara Hart. is a good read. An older man/ younger woman romance. This is one of my favorite tropes. I really liked James. You could not help but feel for him and the extremely difficult and painful family situation he was in. I was not a huge fan of Olivia though. To me she was just so annoying and childish. Never truly knew what she wanted, acted like a brat and was selfish to boot. I did not like how she treated James and how she could never just be there for him. Was a well written story and had a lot of drama and emotion. I'm a fan of Kara Hart but This was not my favorite of her books. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC of this book.

I liked this fast-paced steamy read. James is a Doctor and is having a difficult time coming to terms that he was unable to save his mother and the ultimatum his father gives him. Olivia is almost finished with college and ready to start a new chapter in her life when she meets James while he is giving a lecture in one of her classes. The chemistry is instant and hot. The story is entertaining and I liked the characters although I admit I was shocked by Olivia’s behavior on occasion. A good read.

James is a successful doctor but could use a woman in his life or so that's what his father says. Olivia is a senior in college and happens to meet James at her school while he was giving a speech. James can't stop thinking about Olivia but Olivia is keeping her guard up. Olivia & James click but Olivia is waiting for it too go all wrong. When a proposition is exposed will James lose Olivia for good? Good story, I enjoyed the playfulness of Olivia & James relationship.

I liked the idea behind the story. I felt it had a lot of promise. I did enjoy reading it though.
I want to say...I did not like Olivia at all. I actually liked Josie more. Olivia was young, I understand, however, she was very childish for her age. She did many things without thinking them through. She said many things that were unforgivable in my eyes. She also strung James along a lot of the time. Mixed signals I guess you could say. James needed to communicate his feelings more and faster. Again, the story was good. He had a good plot. I just felt like it could have been more.

This story was interesting. I loved James, he's a well respected surgeon with some family issues. His mother is dying and his father wants nothing more than for James to get married and have a family. Now Olivia I'm not to sure of, she was a little childish for her age. She acted as if she had a lot of issues with relationships in the past but none were given. All in all it was easy to read and follow and you do feel for the characters, James journey to finding love can be felt through out the story. I really had some mixed emotions about this book. I thought James would come off as more dominating and more alpha, but I felt like Olivia called all the shots. She was pretty feisty and sometimes I found her unlikable. There were some moments that I flat out was confused about, but I really did like James and thought he was sweet, yet tormented about his mom, and his dad's demands. Still, I enjoyed this steamy yet twisty read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

His Virgin Bride

An unlikely couple, not a match meant to be, but opposites attract. James a physician, not time for a serious relationship, let alone a wife, and Olivia a college student with too much on her plate to make a committement. But when the heart wants what it wants, lol. And, feelings enter in, well sometimes it just happens. Great story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

First time read by this Author. Little odd in writing but eventually got to the HEA. Brain Surgeon, James meets Olivia, college student ready to graduate. She is a 23 year old virgin and proud of it, he is a 35 year old workaholic and they hook up. Liked the smart mouth, quick whit she has, but story pretty slow, little drama, and family anx. I would read her again because I'm sure her next book will be better.

There is an interesting dynamic among the characters. James is a good guy in a difficult situation with the younger Olivia. She really makes it hard for them to have a real relationship. They really struggle. They do have a strong attraction and there is plenty of heat.

I had some trouble rating this book so I rounded up to 4 stars. The premise of the story is great. I liked James and the secondary characters but found Olivia to be insufferable, childish and quite immature. However, overall it's worth the read.

Forgiveness is loving!

I really enjoyed reading this story, all about setting goals, and learning to let go. I cried like a baby through half of it but really liked the spunky give and take the characters had along with the sexy delight we shared with them.
In addition to this story there are additional freebies I know you'll love.

I thought this was a sweet story of finding happiness where you least expect it. Though not close in age, the attraction between James and Olivia is strong. Is it enough to build a future? I enjoyed finding out. I was a huge fan of James. Olivia acted young for her age but in the end it ended ok.

WTF did I just read?

This really could have been a good story, but so much of it was a mess. Others may love it. We all have different tastes, but I really disliked it because it didn't make sense - the female main character's personality didn't make sense. Her behavior toward the doctor was ridiculous. Basically, the whole book was ridiculous and made no sense.
