Dragon Guardsman Grey is dead set on going back to the swamps of Florida when he realized while there that the she wolf Star was his mate, doesn't matter that she keeps denying him and throwing him out of her head whenever he decides to visit it . He is also determined to find his younger brother Garrett who was abducted 80 years at the age of 13 ago by an evil demon and kept chained Goddess knows where wasting away.
Star can't deny the attraction she feels toward the hot Guardsman, or that they are true mates, but she will allow no man to take away her independence, or her mind on anything let alone a pushy dragonman. But Goddess when she sees him and finds out that he has been suffering all these years because of the same evil demon that killed her father and her pack, all bets are off. She will no longer fight the attraction or pain she feels when she sees his. Together they will defeat him and find Garrett.
A passion withheld for so long that sparks ignite between these two.

Grey and Star
Star is a wolf living with with same clan as Olivia and Angus. She knows Grey is her mate but thinks she isn't worthy because she thinks caused the death of all of her former clan including her alpha father.
Grey is tired of waiting for Star to see that they belong together. He is about to go back to Florida swamps to talk to her when the dragon clans gets a call asking for their help with someone ravaging clans in Florida. Kayne, Pearce, Noah and of course Grey head to the Florida swamps.
Their trouble is being caused by Thanatos(demon) again. They also discover that Grey's brother Garrett has been held hostage for the last eighty years. Thanatos wants to possess the dragons body(Garrett) in order to be stronger because of having dragon magic.
Find out what is happening with Mara(the witch Thanatos is currently possessing) and her sisters. We see a little forward progression in this line of the story. We get a HEA for Grey. I'm excited to see what happens with Garrett.
Love the Dragon Guard series. On to number 24!

Grey had met his destined forever mate Star, but life had gotten in their way in the form of the Demon Thanatos, and now Grey is done waiting !! He wants his Star and he wants her now !! Just one big problem .... Thanatos is back with a vengence and Garrett ( Grey’s brother who’s been missing for 80 years is in his clutches ) !! Will Star give up everything to become the “bait” needed to catch Thanatos and free both Garrett and Mara ( the tiny witch whose body Thanatos inhabits), or can Grey find a way to free both of them and not lose his sassy little Star ? Lots of hot sexy innuendo, some even hotter mating sex as well as getting much closer to being rid of Thanatos for good !! 5⭐️‘s for great characters, continued world building and merging the storylines effortlessly. I recommend this to any lover of paranormal romance over the age of 18 !!

OMG!!!! Julia Mills has done it again! Another fantastic Dragon Guard story! Just like all of the others of this series that I have read, Sassy Ever After: Twinkle, Twinkle Sassy is a book that grabbed me from the very first page and kept me enthralled until I reached the very last word. Star and Grey's story makes a great read. You will lose yourself in this book quite easily.
If you enjoy dragon shifter books then this book should be one of the ones you grab to read! It is very well written and keeps you entertained from beginning to end. I know that I will be re-reading this book over and over again. And I will definitely be highly recommending it to others!

Oh my.....she was something! Gave Grey a run for his money literally! She's the take no *H*T kinda gal. She didnt let him get away with nothing! Nuh-uh! Hell no would he dictate what she would/wouldnt do. Funny thing is his fellow guardsmen WARNED him to NOT say it but he did anyways. Boy she told him a what for! We know everything! When you dont expect us to listen in oh we sooo are. Loved Star. Loved Grey when he pulled his head out of his butt! They've both been through some really hard things. They pasts are intertwined but they dont find out until later. Not that they knew each other or anything just the timelines were mixed a little in similar ways. Enjoyed the book. Took me forever to get to it through my pile of books. :) Worth the wait!

Twinkle Twinkle Sassy Little Star is a fast, easy and extremely enjoyable read. Julia Mills continues to entertain us with her wonderful stories. If this is the first of the Guardsmen's series you have read, I highly recommend reading all the rest, you will love them and all the characters you will meet.
Star is a sassy wolf who has lost all to the demons of the world and has come to rely on herself for what she needs.
Grey is a grey dragon who also has lost to the same demons. The fates have declared they are to be mated but Star is fighting it.
This story has a little of everything. Some violence, co-operation between species, and some smoking love scenes. Definitely a book for 18+. Happy Reading!!

Twinkle Twinkle Sassy Little Star is a fast, easy and extremely enjoyable read. Julia Mills continues to entertain us with her wonderful stories. If this is the first of the Guardsmen's series you have read, I highly recommend reading all the rest, you will love them and all the characters you will meet

I really enjoy this series! The books in this series are quick, light reads with sweet romances. This can be read as a standalone, but some storylines and characters are from previous books, so I'd recommend read the previous books, but it's not totally necessary. I actually loved everything about this story, but what the story didn't have is why I ended up going with a 4 star. I felt the story was missing scenes that would've added to the meat of this story. Everything felt too easy; there wasn't really any conflict, and so the story didn't feel quite complete. I would've loved more suspense scenes, and to see the characters growing more together. I loved the setting of the Florida wetlands, and I loved both Grey and Star. They are both strong characters, and the romance between the two is wonderful. I love any type of shifter romance, and I enjoyed that Grey is a dragon and Star is a wolf shifter, so there were scenes with both groups, and I love how the dragons band together to help each other out. So, in the end, I just would've like a bit more content to the story, but I really enjoyed the whole book. I'll definitely continue to read more books by Julia Mills!

It was a demon that kill all of Star's pack, even her father.
Now they will join forces to destroy the demon.
They could not deny fates for too long.
The mating call was too strong.
I am glad that Star forgave herself + gave love a chance.
The best way to honor her father was to live her life to the fullest.
Love the ending. Very sweet read!

Good little addition to this series.
We met Star in SASSING HER DRAGON. She is the best friend of Olivia and is part of the Gaelach Lán Pack.
Not quite sure why she is anti mating and stubborn at the beginning.
Star’s background story was another sad tale but Grey was a real sweetie with his own past pain.
Thanatos rears his ugly head again causing more problems for our Dragon Guards and our wolf friends.
Another good story in this series and I really loved the fact we had a proper Mating ceremony at the end. WONDERFUL.
This is my honest review of this book which was gifted to me by Ms Mills but read through Kindle Unlimited.

This is a fast paced and fantastic read of two fated mates. Grey Acheson is a gray Dragon who is tired of waiting for his mate. He's given her time to come to terms they are fated to be together. Star Llyal is a strong & sassy wolf who feels she doesn't deserve Grey because she feels responsible for something that happened in her past. They both have lost a lot to the demon, Thanatos, who is back to create more havoc. How will all this end - read for yourselves to find out. You won't be sorry and I highly recommend this book. If you are a Julia Mills fan, you will love it, after all, who doesn't love a brawny, handsome Dragon Guardsman!!

Sassy Little Star took me a couple of days to actually get into and finish reading.
While I enjoyed the story, Star's attitude and overall persona grated on my nerves. She was a bit abrasive towards everyone, even her best friend. However, after learning about everything she went through it was a bit more understandable.
Hunting down the same enemy has brought Star's unwanted mate, Grey, back to the Florida swamps. But this time he's not going to let her push him aside. It's time for Grey to prove to Star that he's the mate she needs during this time.

The absolute perfect telling of Grey’s match! The writing is so pristine, being able to feel Star’s sass was truly exciting! Every time I think a mafch can’t be anymore exciting Ms. Mills gleefully proves me wrong! Every dragon guard wedding makes me wish I could redo my own wedding. ( this book would make 23 redo’s lol) Sadly I just have to live vicariously through these pages! Love this and totally believe every PNR fan will too!

INTERESTING SERIES, BUT BECAME REPETITIVE AFTER A FEW BOOKS
After reading a few of these, I decided to write one review for all of them. I found these books to be pretty good, if somewhat formulaic. If a reader is looking for a good story with some drama & where the main characters go through some terrible things, but ultimately end up together, I think they will enjoy this series of books. It is sometimes nice to read a "happily ever after" story.

A short story of 97 pages and I was so into the story that when it ended I wanted more. I hope the brother's story is soon I want to know what happened to him. This Author always has a great story to tell . I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it. It is now in my Wish list to be bought.

Fast paced, light hearted romance that will keep you entertained. Julia has a way of bringing life to her stories, and she is always giving readers just that little extra bit that keeps you begging for more. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. Love the Dragon Guard Series.

Book, bubbles, bath and chocolate. That is my idea of the perfect end to a hard day and as long as the book is a Julia Mills story I know I'm going to come out of that bath a relaxed prune, sleep well dreaming of sexy dragons and wake recharged for another day with a smile on my face.

Princess and her Dragon Prince
I don't think I'll ever get tired of these dragon guard adventures. Each one it's own unique story. I love that I get to read about all my favorite characters. The cameos are the best. We still have a few missing dragons and a few that need mates so I'll look forward to the next book.

Oh wow the story of Star and Gray is OUTSTANDING !! I got hooked from the first page and could not stop until I was at the end ( which I did not want to end ) ! I swear Julia Mills is able to top each of the Dragon Guard and I am not sure how she does it !! But as usual this book is a hit !!

Awesome series. Loved the story, as always Julia does a fantastic job with her stories. Filled with action, drama, feisty sassy women and men, the strength of family and love. And a continuous plot with twist and turn in a community.

I'm happy to say this book has the mating ceremony in it for the dragons, so we get to hear about the traits of the grey dragons! I love the elaborate ceremonies, the rest of the book is interesting and good too.
