Bellann Summer lives in the middle of nowhere with her husband and children surrounded by lakes and woods. In the summer Bellann enjoys fishing, camping, gardening and growing flowers. Autumn is spent out in the woods exploring the beautiful colors and nature at its finest. In the winter there is ice fishing, snowmobiling and sitting in front of the wood fireplace. She has always loved to read and any free time is spent with a book in her hand. When major life changes occurred, she decided to try writing what she liked to read. And it worked.

‘Silver and Mikey’ is the fabulous second story set in a world where bear shifters have been lied to for centuries and, as a result, finding their male soulmates has become impossible. More of the mystery behind the legends is lifted in this volume, new enemies emerge, and the fight for survival of those who want to follow the old rituals rises to a fever pitch. Among all the deception, intrigue, and dark machinations, human Mikey and alpha bear shifter Silver meet, figure out they are mates and have to figure out how a relationship will work between them. What with Silver being all dominant and Mikey being anything but submissive this is not an easy undertaking!

Definitely enjoyed Silver and Mikey a lot more than I did Cameron and Keaton. Not that I didn’t like Cam and Keaton, but I adored Silver and Mikey. Mikey was just snarky enough for me to love him.

I’m still really enjoying the worldbuilding and I’m looking forward to Owen and Charlie, and Sasha and Dante’s stories. Especially Sasha and Dante!

I must say that I liked this book better than the first one. I was afraid at first that Silver was going to be just like Cameron and while he had his moments, he was much more reasonable. Mikey, I just loved. I loved that he was feisty and wasn’t going to be all submissive. I thought the villains of the piece were a bit over the top, but overall, I enjoyed this second installment in the Operation True One series.

The idea of these stories is great. Well written story flows easily. Good read, enjoyable and entertaining the characters are great. The Bears have been taught that anyone with the mark of Jackal is bad and will bring their demise as well as that of the family.
Silver is the Kodiak Bear Alpha of the region. Mikey has the mark of the Jackal.

Needs a better editor. So many errors. And the Alpha characters weren’t all that likable. I liked the cat better. I expected better of this author.
