Grimm Brothers MC president, Snake, battled his way to his position by any and all means necessary. He was powerful, respected, commanding; but most importantly, he was feared. Then, at the height of power, one ruthless misstep crumbled his kingdom in an instant. Beaten within inches of his life by a member of a rival MC, betrayed and left for dead by his own club, Snake has only two things left to focus on: healing and revenge.

As a physical therapist working in the trauma unit, Amanda thought she had seen it all. That is until she met a patient known to her as Nick, a broken man who had sustained the most severe beating she’d ever encountered. Surly, brooding, and angry, he should be a nightmare patient. But under the rough exterior, Amanda couldn’t help but be drawn to his determination to heal. Not to mention he was ridiculously attractive, to the point that she found herself giving him some extra attention.

Women like Amanda—kind, sweet, intelligent, independent, respectable—don’t exist in Snake’s world. When she offers him a place to live after his hospital stay, he can’t figure her out. The more time they spend together, the more torn he becomes between two realities: a gruesome MC world full of lies, betrayal, and hatred, or a life with Amanda that promises healing and peace.

As Snake helps Amanda through some troubling times, passion flares. For the first time in his life, he actually cares about a woman. It’s enough to make him question everything. But after leading a life as a dedicated outlaw, is it too late to turn around? And if not, is he willing to leave his vendetta behind?

4.5 Stars

This is one of those books where I exercise my right to subjectively give it 5 stars because even if the writing wasn't top notch, I really liked the story and characters.

It reminded me a lot of Preacher by Dahlia West - except Preacher was a bit more angsty and had more action.

This wasn't an overly dramatic, action packed MC romance. It was slow paced and more character driven. It wasn't even an MC romance actually.

Let me give you the story in short, spoiler free, so that you get what I'm talking about:

So, the story opens up with the lead guy in the hospital barely able to cling to life after he was viciously attacked.

Now, in order to understand the story and truly enjoy it (without reading the previous books) you need to know the following things:

- The hero was the President of an MC (the bad type of MC).
- He was truly an awful guy, short of rape, you name it he did it. (we met him in Jester-previous book- where he was the villain who kidnapped and beat the crap out of the heroine)
- He got the s*** kicked out of him by the hero in that book and after, his Vice President saw that situation as an opportunity to get rid of him and assume the role of President.
- They drove him states away. From Arizona to Idaho, dropped him in a ravine and shot at him multiple times.
- A witness called an ambulance which got to him quick and BAM.. second chance at life granted.

Now let's resume the current story.

He is thought to be death by his old MC, and the hospital has a fake name for him.. basically the guy is a ghost now.

After he wakes up he meets his PT who is our heroine Amanda. She helps rehab him but nothing happens between them if that's what you're wondering.. She is attracted to him but he is focused on recovery and "her ass might be nice but he's got priorities" lol. His sole focus is to get better and get revenge and his MC back.

Anyway.. from there onwards, the story progresses but I'm not gonna give any more plot related details.

Now that I've set up the scene, let me tell you why I loved this:

- As the story progressed I could really feel the gradual connection between the two leads. I could understand the change that Nick/Snake went through as a person. And how he struggles with the decision of staying with her (because she would never be onboard with the MC life) or returning to his previous existence of a ruthless, powerful man who lived by his own rules.

- I loved Amanda as a person. Her character was someone I could relate to, if I were in her situation. She didn't really turn into a lovefool who foregoes her own morals for him. She struggles to reconcile (albeit, it was quick) her vision of right and wrong with her love of a man that lived on the wrong side of life for most of his life.

- I guess I liked this story so much because it played within the parameters of morality that I can get on board with. Meaning, the guy had a past and did a lot of messed up stuff (if you read one of the previous books -Jester- then you’ll get what I’m saying) but I truly felt like he was redeemable, not in a insta way, but gradually. And Amanda, the heroine, was perfect, the way she was in the book, her actions and reactions throughout, it’s basically...what I would have done if i was in her shoes. (I mean, would I get involved with a guy who tells me he murdered for fun? No, but anything else.. sure)

- It was emotional, steamy at times and overall great 😉

- I don’t know if this would be such a great story for anyone else tbh, but I loved it. And I read it twice.. so yeah.

Again, I will repeat, this is not an MC story although it's set within an MC series. The hero was part of that world but circumstances and all...

I'd recommend this, but I feel like it's one of those that appeals to me because.. I don't know.. it just does, but others might not see it the same.
Anyway, if anything I wrote here intrigues you then sure, pick it up!

Holy wow! I was a bit nervous going into Snake's book because, well, he was a bit of a jacka$$ in previous books in the series. How could the author possibly make him likable?

And then I read Snake's story.

His focus on getting better in order to exact revenge? Definitely Snake.

But his introspective thoughts and how he did what he could to be the man who could possibly win Amanda's heart? All Nick.

I totally enjoyed the twists and turns this book had, and was thrilled to see how it played out. If you're worried because Snake is such a, well, snake? Go in with your eyes wide open and find yourself pleasantly surprised!

I love reformed villains especially when the story is believable! This book reminds me of Preacher by Dahlia West and it’s a good kind of reminder!

Nick/Snake (H) was the prez of the rival mc and all-around bad guy in the first 4 books. He was betrayed by his own vp and left for dead. He woke up in another state and needed rehab to get back in shape. Amanda (h) was his therapist and she invited Nick to live with her in exchange for free labor.

There’s attraction on both sides that finally explode. Nick was having some existential crisis coz he wants revenge but he also likes his new lease in life with Amanda.

I would have loved an epilogue but this book already hit the right spots for biker romance, anti-hero redemption, and hot sex!

No cheating, no ow. It wasn’t insta-love and there’s relationship building.

Snake was the fifth and final book in the No Prisoners MC by Lilly Atlas.

Nick aka Snake was the former President of the Grimm Brothers MC, the evil rival MC that were present in most of the No Prisoners series. Snake was beaten severely in Jester (book three). We now learned that Snake’s VP hauled him across several state lines, shot him and dumped him in a ravine to die. However, there was a secret witness that got him to a hospital for a long recovery. Amanda was the physical therapist assigned to Snake.

I thoroughly enjoyed Snake. The storyline was a struggle between Snake and Nick - which one will ultimately win dominance within his life. Will it be the old life or a new one? I enjoyed the mental discussions surrounding Snake’s dilemma. It was a journey of reconciliation, second chances, new beginnings, hope and forever love.

All in all, it was a great conclusion to the series. I’m going to miss the series, but I look forward to experiencing where Atlas takes us next.

Lilly Atlas does it again! She took someone in snake that I should have despised forever and instead gave me Nick, someone who I just had to actually grow to like. The pacing was amazing and the story itself was compelling yet sweet. It wasn’t as intense violence wise as previous books outside of the very first scene and yet it was just as intense emotionally. All of the damn MC stars lol.

Most definitely jumped into Snake because it worked for a certain challenge. Do I regret skipping 3 books to do so? Eh, maybe? Each book is about a different character, so it didn't really bother me. It would have made much more sense to go in order though, but it won't be horrible to backtrack through them either.

In this, you will meet Snake and Amanda. He is the president of the Grimm Brothers MC. She is a physical therapist working in a trauma unit. The day they met was pretty interesting and I was excited to see how their romance would grow. He's broody and a nightmare but she's a saint and determined to help him heal. Together they gave me a huge headache but eventually things worked out.

Each twist and turn kept me engaged and the pages turning. I do think some things could have been more intense though. Whether it was the romance or the violence. It just felt like something was off or missing at times. Or maybe I'm just being picky.

In the end, one day I will read books 2-4. One day, but not today.

I really enjoyed this biker romance where the hero was a bad guy from earlier books who almost died then starts a new life with the heroine. The only part I didn’t love was the heroine’s friend and her rather idiotic ploy to infiltrate an MC. But I really like the main romance and the lead characters. The love scenes were hot, either I am getting picky or most love scenes these days are boring, but these were actually good.

This was a re-read of this one and it's still just as good as the first time. This one is unique in that the HEA has the main characters riding off into a different sunset.

Snake (No Prisoners MC, #5) by Lilly Atlas Really liked this one and rated it 5 stars because once I started reading it I couldn't stop until I finished it. Snake was introduced in a previous book Jester (No Prisoners MC, #2) by Lilly Atlas , and was the epitome of the worst, deplorable villain you could imagine. This author did an excellent job of redeeming him. It could be read as a stand alone but I have enjoyed the whole series.
Snake a/k/a Nick has done many things that should send him to hell. He's the former president of a rival MC. Fate puts him at death's door but gives him another chance to live. Fate also brings a little spitfire of a woman, Amanda, into his life as his physical therapist. At first he only lives for revenge and seeking his old glory throne as president back. However, the more time he spends with Amanda rebuilding his life, the old Nick comes back and invades his body. The boy he was before he became Snake, the demon from hell.
I loved the way the author redeemed such a demon, loved the way the relationship between Nick and Amanda was developed. But most of all I loved the changes both people made to their lives for the sake of love.

Snake was the former President of the Grimm Brothers MC and he was a bad guy and creepy to look at to boot. He realizes his hold is crumbling around him when he is badly beaten, shot and left for dead. He awakes barely alive in hospital, unable to speak. He's now on the slow path to recovery and lives for the day he can reap revenge on his enemies. While healing he meets Amanda, a physical therapist who helps him regain his strength and her beauty and kindness shows how ultimately together they can have a good life. But does he still want revenge? Will his enemies discover his where about's?
Snake is a captivating story, the main character were well thought out and his development was very well done, Amanda's character was a little naive a times but still she was a gentle, caring person and they made a beautiful couple.
The story was amazing, I loved it, a definite must read!

It takes talent to turn a villain into a hero, but this author did it flawlessly. Snake was such a repulsive villain that I didn’t think he could be redeemed. But Atlas took her time letting us watch his redemptive arc and not trying to turn him into an angel. Snake still retains plenty of dark and that’s realistic. Best book in the series by far. Hope there will be another story with the roommate. Fascinating story.

Snake, the evil one from the previous books, he gets beat within a inch of death plus shot. He comes around in a hospital and Amanda is there. They fall in love and he gets a second chance at life.

I didn't like this one as much as the previous books. It was slow, and I guess I just didn't want the villain to get a HEA.

This book is the last in the series and unlike any other MC books I have read. If you have read any of the books in this series you know who Snake is and probably wondering why there's a book about someone who is not apart of the No Prisoners MC.

This is Snake's book and I loved how it ended... never thought about a MCer taking things in the direction that this one did. Don't get me wrong, he still gets his HEA but not how it's normally done.

Can't tell you anything else because it will give it away and I don't want to do that....off to find another series to read

I really enjoy Lilly Atlases No prisoners MC series Snake has got to be my favorite the only one I haven't read is Jester and I regret it because it's a key moment in this book so I'd suggest that you read Jester before you start this one (you wont be lost if you read this before I think you'd better understand certain things better though ) .Snake and Amanda meet while he is close to deaths door trying to recuperate from the pain of his injury and the pain of betrayal from the bothers he thought had his back and she is getting over a breakup up from a fellow coworker who is also a possessive creepy A hole while also being dedicated to her job and worrying about her best friends self destruction determination to find the story that would be her career . One of the many things I found interesting about the hero and story was that he had two sides of him self Snake and Mike seeing the battle he was faced with on who he should be was very intriguing to see who would come out as the victor . I really like Amanda even though she was a but naive at times she was relatable kind , funny , and gives people a chance doesn't judge them of there pasts . They made such a great couple I thought with the intense attraction with added sex scenes and protective instincts for one another while the other is in trouble of some sort . It's awesome to see pasts characters can't wait to read whats to come I'm hoping to see more of Cece who is Snakes sister and figure out the secrets she holds . You don't want to miss out on this book and series should click as soon as you can .

This is becoming insane for two reasons. First reason is that my TBR is getting huge and second reason is that I can't stop obsessing over about MC books. The more I get, the more I want. It's a vicious cycle.
And on that journey I'm getting the chance to meet new author's. I'm one happy girl.
Lilly Atlas is a genius when it comes to MC books. Her writing is hot, raw, real and sometimes scary. But don't let the scary part trick you because once you start you can't stop.
Snake is the 5th book from the No Prisoners MC series and I really need to read the other 4. I want to because just a glimpse into this one and I knew I was doomed.
This book explores the lifes of Snake and Amanda.
Snake was betrayed by the ones who should support him. His MC members not only betrayed him but also beaten him and left him to die. Now he just wants revenge.
Amanda is a physical therapist working in the trauma unit were Snake was admitted under a different name. She's used to see thes kind of injuries but the way Nick was brought left her broken. She has only one goal and that is to help him recovering.
Can love change a person? Or will fear corrupt it?
Let me just say that I wasn't expecting this level of intensity. I knew, after reading the blurb, that this was going to be a book focused on recover, acceptance, but this just blowed my mind up.
The plot is captivating and very well written and the interaction between the characters was forbidden, raw and heartfelt. It's always good to see the kindness into a former bad man heart. It shows that love can get into you and held you hostage.
This book will present you with love, belief, kindness as well as crime, punishment, betrayal.
I'm so happy to had the chance to read this boklok and I really need to grab the other 4.
Thank you Lilly Atlas for this. I can't wait for more.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Ok first and foremost, I really highly suggest that you read or reread this series before starting this, or you will be like me and going who in the world is Snake? We find out at some point in the book and then its all OOOOO that guy, I remember him and then there is the DUH moment.

Snake is the president of the rival MC in the first two books; after Jester's book his life got interesting, like his VP betraying him and trying to kill him. Snake wakes up in the hospital, and that's where he meets Amanda. Once he gets back to good health again, Snake has a plan to get his revenge, but what Snake doesn't count on is Amanda and the effect she has on him. Could he be this person, live this life with her? Or is he only good to be the president of an MC? Snake has to figure out just who he really is, Snake or Nick.

This was so freaking amazing! We hardly ever get to see the "bad guy" in his own story, and I loved it. With the drama, violence, and hot sexy times, there is so much going on in this story. I give this 5 stars.

Holy shit!!!! The type of book that will make you think and re-think after reading...What just happened??
How can you fall in love and sympathize with the person you hated so much on the earlier books? Well I think you just have to read Snake and find out for yourself.
Life has given you a second chance to live will you seek out Revenge and power? Will you go back and claim what is rightfully yours?

Ugh. Just couldn’t. Snake was a POS in previous books in this series. Can’t even stomach the idea of him as a lead. Nope. Nope. Nope. Plus, he’s not even in the MC, but rather was their enemy from another club. And did I mention he was a real POS?

The No Prisoners MC Series ends with a bang, and it's an amazing one at that. Snake is an AMAZING book, full of emotion and redemption. He was SO TERRIBLE in the first couple of books, and you wonder when you pick this book up how you are ever going to like him as a character. However, Lilly Atlas does her magic and makes Snake into something we never saw coming: a complicated anti-hero who works his butt off to become a better person, all because he met a woman who showed him the light. Now THAT'S a good book right there.

As the Grimm Brothers MC president, Snake is a ruthless leader. The No Prisoners MC had run-ins with him, and it wasn't pleasant. But after an a$& whooping from Jester, Snake is betraying by his own vice president. He ends up in a ravine, left for dead. However, after waking up in a hospital, barely able to do anything, a physical therapist pulls him back together and becomes a light in his left. When he ends up living in one of her cabins on her property, things heat up, and he really does want to become a better man, but his past still haunts him. There's the ever-present danger that his old MC might come back to bite him. Can he keep Amanda safe? Does his need for revenge outweigh his new need for a simpler life?

Amanda is a physical therapist and a darned good one. Unfortunately, she has a stalker ex-boyfriend doctor who can't take, "No," for an answer following her every move at the trauma center. There she meets "Nick," a man in dire need of help after being found shot and beaten almost to death. While doing physical therapy with him, she develops a relationship with him and ends up having him live with her because he has nowhere else to go. He seems like a great guy, but she knows nothing about his past. And when she finds out, will she be able to deal with the fact that Nick was "Snake?"

The emotion and turmoil in this book was top notch. I loved the problems the couple faced and how they dealt with them. It was just the right amount of drama to keep you hooked. The transformation from Snake to Nick was fascinating. I'm still not sure how the author did it, but I really ended up liking his character. It was just fantastic. I highly recommend this book. Actually, I highly recommend this series. Every book is amazing. You just can't go wrong with a Lilly Atlas book.

Been delaying reading this because I hated Snake. This is the last of series, but I finally decided to use my Audible credit to finally say I did it and finished the series.

Snake was beaten to an inch of his life and was tossed in a ditch and left for dead. He is saved and wakes up in a hospital. He worked his way to the top of the Grimm Brothers and was a nasty piece of work; he was powerful, respected, commanding, and feared. But now he is in a hospital bed and tossed to the side from the only world he ever knew. Enter in Amanda who is a physical therapist. Nick, aka Snake, seems like he would be a nightmare patient but the two work well together to get him back on his feet. For some reason, she offers him a place on her property....help her fix up some of her cabins she inherited so she can rent them out. Not only that, but Snake in turn helps Amanda through some troubling times. Passion flares and for the first time ever, he grows to care about a woman and question everything. Will he leave that world behind and stay as Nick?

In the past books, I hated Snake with every fiber of my being. He was ruthless and mean and did bad things to our boys in the other books (rival MC club and all...so sure). However, I grew to like him. He's not my favorite of the boys, but..................I respected him. He sure made a huge change and NO it didn't happen overnight. I think it will always be a battle to shake off his past. He was raised in that world and he has a lot of things he was taught from his parents and other adults.

Amanda was a darling. Loved her to bits! I would want to be her bestie.

There was a scene I nearly cried at. It was a lovely moment for Nick and Amanda (and another character I will not name for the sake of spoilers). I won't spoil it but it was so healing for everyone involved.

Oh Kat. I hope she can find her way and maybe find love. Maybe there will be some sort of spin-off? *researches* Not sure. I looked at a series that is a spin-off/has a crossover with this series, but I didn't see her name anywhere. Maybe she'll pop up someday. I'm sure she wants nothing to do with the MC after her experiences, but sighs. I want to see her happy. I liked her!!!! I'm a little let down in the epilogue. They mention she is working on her recovery, but I think the author did her dirty.

Honestly, I felt the epilogue needed more. More of a conclusion especially with this being the end of the series. SURE there is some stories set in this world so MAYBE we'll see their names again and learn more, but I feel like we needed more to be done with the series.

Now, the narrators were a blast. I believe they did the past ones too. Love a good duo that works well together. She read all the lady parts and he read the boy voices; it was beautifully done.

In the end, I was EXTREMELY hesitant because of Snake and his past. I was pleasantly surprised that ended up liking him and (can't believe I'm going to say this) root for him. Oof! The redemption of Snake was well done and well written. Amanda is a gem to society and I love her. I'm mad at the epilogue though. We needed more info to tie up some of the loose ends. It just didn't feel complete to me, like there would be another book after this.

All-in-all, 3 stars from me. I really enjoyed this series. It ended on a good note overall.

- Favorite Character(s): Amanda!
- Least Favorite Character(s): All of the other Grimm Brothers and that doctor!

I’m not a big fan of MC stories. I’m not sure why the MC trope doesn’t call to me it just doesn’t. However, when I read the blurb for Snake by Lilly Atlas, it piqued my interest, and I needed to find out more. The story begins with Snake, the president of the Grimm Brothers Motorcycle Club getting beat up, shot, and left for dead by a person he trusted. Snake is an evil man who participated in every illegal activity imaginable. The club was his family; now he wants revenge.

Amanda is the physical therapist assigned to get Snake, now known as Nick his birth name, back in shape. She is a good influence on Nick, both physically and emotionally. Nick, on the other hand, doesn’t know how to deal with his attraction to her. He is used to taking women when he has a need then throwing them away, but he knows he can’t treat her the same way. Amanda is nothing like any of the women in the club.

I love these characters. Amanda knows a protected and safe life. She doesn’t know the dark side of life. Except for a possessive relationship, her life is relatively normal. She finds ways to look on the bright side and enjoy life. Snake, on the other hand, is seeking revenge. He wants to make people pay for their betrayal. He thinks about little else.

Snake is full of suspense as the reader must wait to see if Amanda is going to pay the price for Snake’s past while she hopes that Nick will decide to have a life that he never expects or thinks he deserves. He has to protect Amanda the only way he knows how.

I believe the reason I enjoy Snake more than most MC books is that the story examines the two people more than the motorcycle club. I love the way the characters develop, and their relationship grows. The inner conflict is as big a draw as the suspense and angst from outside.

Snake is a standalone book that is part of the No Prisoners series. I do have some questions about how Snake became the man he is. I’m sure there are events in previous books that lay the groundwork for what happens in this one, but I’m satisfied with the way this story evolves. I never felt lost. I can’t say that I will look for MC books in the future. However, I will look for other books by Lilly Atlas, she is an excellent writer and weaves a gripping tale. If you like romantic suspense or MC themes, you will love Snake .

I’ve read most of the books in the No Prisoners MC series and was glad to finally get Snakes story. I will start off by saying that although Snakes downfall was MC related most of those book followed Snake and Amanda. I say that as a good thing because the focus was on the two main characters and I really enjoyed it.

Snake was betrayed and left for dead by the brothers he thought would have is back. Snake should have died but fate and a good samaritan saved his life. Amanda is a rehabilitation nurse and is brought into Snakes world to help him heal. It is a long round to his recovery but Amanda makes his progress and time at the hospital worth while.

Snake isn’t a nice guy, and his thoughts and his past clearly shed light on this element however we do get to see a different side to him as well. Amanda is a good character, she’s loyal and enjoys her job even though she has to deal with a creepy ex and a roommate dead set on getting into trouble.

Snake is conflicted because he wants revenge but also likes the life he has with Amanda, the woman who doesn’t judge him on his pasts. There is conflict between Amanda and Snake he knows he’s no good for her and he does some douche like things. I loved how the author handles their relationship. There is no instant love but more of an attraction that develops into a relationship built on mutual respect.

Amanda comes off as naive but she is strong and fierce. She is just the type of person that Snake needs in his life. Snake loves the MC and revenge is his end goal, but the more time he spends with Amanda the more his focus changes. I loved seeing this big bad and broody biker fighting against his protective and possessive feelings. The author did a great job showing his inner struggles.

This was a great read, full of drama, violence, minor angst and some really great sex. I love a good MC story and was drawn to the blurb and cover but I really got more than I imagined. This story was by far the best book I’ve read by this author.

Snake by Lily Atlas.
Let me start by saying I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was not a typical MC romance but still hit all the right spots with the unsuspecting female and the uber alpha male. The slight twist to this book is that the story happens outside of the confines of the club. You will be gripped by the intense chemistry that radiates from these two characters.

Snake, President of the Grimm Brothers MC, is a very bad man who has done extremely bad things in his life. He lives up to his road name, he strikes fast and hard against those he feels who have wronged him and now the power has gone to his head. Consequences, he never thought he would be paying them. Beaten and left for dead Snake thinks he is at his end.

Amanda, physical therapist, working extra hours at the local hospital to help fund the restoration of her property was the unsuspecting female. She meets Snake aka Nick as her patient and is instantly drawn to him. She can feel the undercurrent of his bad boy nature and it pulls her in. She knows she should stay away, but we always want things that are bad for us.

Snake has a long road to recovery ahead of him. He has plenty of time to think about his former life and if it really all it was cracked up to be, but also to plot his revenge, he is after all the President of an outlaw MC and he cannot let what was done to him slide. But is he willing to risk what is blossoming between him and Amanda. She is a breathe of fresh air and the total opposite of the women he is used to. But all she knows is Nick, she has never been on the receiving end of Snake, can she handle all of his deep dark secrets?

This book will captivate you. You will be wondering which direction Lilly is going to go all the while praying for one outcome. Totally enthralled, loved it!!

I voluntarily read and advanced review copy of this book.
