Elizabeth Knox is a USA Today Bestselling romance author who specializes in romantic suspense, and dark romance. She’s well-known for her intense page-turning motorcycle clubs, and sinister dark mafia books.
While Elizabeth loves to write, she is an avid reader as well, who reads a mixture of genres. She lives on a farm with her husband in the northeastern United States with her rescue animals. When she isn’t working, you can find her horseback riding, riding ATVs, or out on the farm with her animals.
This is the second instalment in The Skulls Renegade MC series and features Daisy and Ollie (Seamus). And got to say so glad I carried on with this series as book two really redeemed this series like totally for me. I found it ever so easy here to get invested emotionally; which for me is a big book must. Where In book one I did struggle slightly relating to our main couple in a personal capacity here with Daisy and Ollie I could practically inhale their intense link. And while super hot this was also incredibly emotive too. I was so glad that Daisy realised and appreciated the jewel she already held with her protective club enforcer and was not just holding out for a past that was dead and buried with Kyle. I loved that she saw beyond the obvious and was fully aware of all Ollie's untapped depths it portrayed a real strength of character. In return, Ollie's protective bubble and extremity of affection for Daisy was off the charts and leapt off the page conveying to me his hearts intent really nicely. For me, This was Redemptions true superpower the pure emotion and believability it managed to convey while still giving us a relatable story. There was still a few teensy things I would like to tweak here but on a whole, this was one that I really did enjoy a lot. It kept my attention without massive plot twists and was generally such an enjoyable experience. In my opinion, this series is one that doesn't really read as standalone's and does need to be read in order to get the most out of it. Each book does feature a couple at its centre but there is an ongoing common theme spread throughout so is really best read in order. Happy to give this one a thumbs up and again so glad I didn't throw the towel in earlier; an interesting second instalment. On a side note, I wanted to mention the blurb here is slightly misleading; I hate love triangles with a passion so this should have been a no-no for me but in my opinion, this is only a triangle in the fact that Kyle still wants Daisy back. Daisy knows who she wants from the onset so for me this didn't really read as a love triangle like at all which I for one was glad about. Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC copy of "Redemption (Skulls Renegade #2)" of which I have reviewed voluntary. I didn’t think things could get much better. I didn’t think I would enjoy anyone’s story as much I enjoyed Reed’s and Elena from book 1 Reign. But I have. Daisy Story is so compelling, heartbreaking and heartwarming.
Moving on from Kyle to our Mystery man. I can’t ruin it for you so that’s the only way I can refer to him. Is just an overwhelming amount of emotion all bundled up in this super quick read that you won’t be able to put down.
While the main plot follows Daisy and said mystery man we are still given updates on our first beloved couple. What I thought would happen was a new story line following the club would just emerge out of thin air ( thankfully this did not) Knox kept the flow going picking up right were we left off just at different point of views. While normally this would annoy the heck out me. I found that Knox was able to pull it off by not over doing in the POV and just sticking to the newest pair.
What I wanted I got. And I was 100% satisfied with this intensely moving MC read.
Redemption by Elizabeth Knox is book Two in the Skulls Renegade MC series. This is the story of Daisy and Ollie 'Seamus'. I have read the previous book and feel that you should read that first before reading this one. This book picks up exactly where the other one left off. Daisy was once engaged to Kyle who was the head of the Skulls Renegade MC but little over two years ago he left and left her holding the back for some loan sharks. Daisy was kidnapped hurt for two months before Reed, Seamus and the other could save her. Now in the present day thinking she had become hardened by the experience she finds that it is stance is cracking after her good friend got proposed to and Seamus relationship with her is growing but can she let the past go now that Kyle has showed up again.
Redemption picks up right where Reign left off. In this book we get some questions answered but now more have arisen.
This book is Daisy and Seamus's story. We get to know what happed between her and Kyle in the past and how it all fell apart. Seamus saved Daisy from herself sorrows when everything happened and Kyle was no where to be found.
Seamus is great with Daisy but i was kinda rooting for her and Kyle to get back together. Yeah i know im a bit twisted like that....
More issues arise in this book and again it's left us on a semi cliffhanger. Great Read
This is Daisy’s story but I would recommend reading book one first as it introduces you to all the characters.
I loved Daisy her past was traumatic but what we see now is a strong young woman who with the help of her friends is becoming stronger.
I was very happy when I found out who her man was going to be, Ollie was perfect for her. He is a strong warrior who’s love for her is easy to see, he knows everything that happened to her and protects and supports her.
The MC is still in the middle of turmoil with plenty of action. I’m hoping that Kyles story is next.
This is the first book I have read by this Author and just WOW. Fantastic book I am a huge MC book fan and this book is right up there with my favorites. The love story between Seamus and Daisy is amazing not to mushy just enough push and pull. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone that loves MC books.
omg i just loved this book! it was amazing! its about a woman who had to pay a bad price for her now ex boy friend. someone took his place and her ex wants to know who it is. can these two keep a secret? read to find out what happens. cant wait for the next book!
I love MC Series, i can never get enough of them. But this series Skulls Renegade is amazing! I loved book 1 and I freaking love book 2!!!! Olí and Dais are so meant to be. After what Daisy went through she needed someone who would support and cherish her. And OMG the ending!!! I can't wait for the next one.
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
This book was a great follow on from Reign! Once again it was fast paced and a great read for someone who is very new to MC romances. I can't wait to read more of this club!
This is the second book in the Skulls Renegade MC series. A Redemption is great addition to the Skulls Renegade. I loved Daisy & Seamus story, I was brought on a emotional rollercoaster of a ride wityh Seamus and Daisy. I total recommended everybody to read this if you love you MC. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book
interesting story, good continuing arc. plenty of action. quite well written, some minor editing issues but not too bad. good lead in to the next book in the series
I absolutely LOVED Daisy's story. She has been through hell and back but with the help and support of those that love her the most she pulls through. This story took me on a emotional rollercoaster, beware you won't want to put this one down.
This book had so many emotional ups and downs. Daisy, Kyle and Seamus love triangle but I was rooting for Seamus all the way. He was there when Kyle walked away from Daisy, regardless of why, it was wrong. Plus there are changes in store for the MC that no one has seen coming. I can't wait to read the next book. This series is the perfect mix of hot alpha bikers with strong and resilient woman who fight for what they want. Definitely a series/book that I recommend for any lover of a great MC Romance.
~~~~~~~~~~Julie's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
This book is a heartbreaker. Daisy had it all until Kyle left without a word. Her fight ends when she is kidnapped. She is totally broken. Her only light is Oliver. He saved her and brought her home. Getting over Kyle is the hardest thing she has ever done and now hat he is back, all the anger just r surfaces. Can she keep her lover a secret or will Kyle ruin everything again?
Beautiful read.
Exceptional storyline. ❤️
This book has made this series even better. I’m glad there is more to come.
This is the second book in the Skulls Renegade MC series. What I really liked about this book is it takes up right where Reign left off. I also loved being able to still see Reed and Elena's relationship continue on.
Daisy is a crazy girl who knows exactly what she wants. She was happy with her life until she realized things were going sour quickly. She was engaged to Kyle and he left her to deal with a loan shark. He knew that he was putting her into danger but he just left. Well Ollie “Seamus” has came into her life and what a help he is. They are just adorable and they both will make you laugh.
Can Ollie help her get over the crap that Kyle has put her through. I felt sorry for her all that she went through. I also do not want to give away to much of the story. I will say this lots of different things are covered in this book that will make you think long and hard about all of the bad things that the girls go through before they are saved. Each one of the girls goes through something bad before they are saved. It really makes you think.
One thing you need to know up front this book does end with a cliffhanger. Thanks for another great read Elizabeth Knox I am looking forward to reading the next one.
Elizabeth Knox really hit me with the feels in Redemption. This second book in the Skulls Renegade Series definitely went different direction than I thought it would, but wasn't disappointed in the least. If you thought Elena was one tough chick in book #1, wait until you meet Daisy. I loved how she knew what she wanted and didn't take it for granted. She was in a good place in her life, or so she thought until her ex-fiance Kyle comes back after his screw up two years ago. A screw up that almost cost Daisy her life. Redemption picks up right where Reign left off. Right when Daisy's turmoil causes her to question her feelings and even her sanity as memories start to come back. Memories that she's been trying to move on from. Secrets will also come to light eventually whether she's ready or not. I was definitely left swooning with Redemption. Everyone in the MC loves Daisy and so will you. And they will do whatever it takes to protect her. But this isn't the end for these Skulls Renegade as this book leaves you with a cliffhanger leaving you craving book #3. I can not wait to see what Elizabeth comes up with next for this MC!
I skipped the first book because I hate the trope of undercover female cop in an MC, but I didn’t have any trouble following along. This book was okay, if short, but it lacked any real drama. A lot of stuff happens in the MC, but the main drama of the FMC and her new versus old loves (both members of the MC) just fizzled. I like the h and the H, but there was no tug to their relationship. They’re together from almost the beginning and they don’t break up or have any sort of challenge to get over. All the plot twists are with the club itself. The ex comes in strong, but then he just seems to give up and doesn’t make a hard play to get her back (not that he deserves it), but there’s just no tension - which a romance plot needs.
The book’s real problem is in the editing. There’s lots of grammar issues (not typos, although there are a lot of those too). For example, using your instead of you’re and her instead of she. There are also things that just don’t make sense. We meet both h and H’s families, but they have no greater purpose to the plot. They don’t advance it in any way and don’t add anything to it. Also, in one scene they discuss bringing in 20 people (trying not to spoil anything) in a church meeting. They specifically say that it will be twenty, but maybe a few more thrown in. The. In the next chapter, the number is repeated aloud and everyone acts like it’s the first time they’re hearing it.
Also, the h’s ex did her wrong and left for like two years (or 3? It’s confusingly counted differently in different parts), and he was the club president and he just takes off and leaves after something really bad goes down. He takes off his cut and leaves. Then he just strolls back in (I’m assuming his return is recounted in the first book) and they make him VP, and no one, not even the H has anything to say about what he did when they vote him in unanimously. Like, ‘scuse me??
Lastly, it’s really confusing trying to tell the difference between club members, patched members, club girls etc. It’s mentioned that some of the women (single women) are club members, but others are club girls. Most MC fiction has the clubs being boys only, so if this club allowed women in, they really should have made it clear they were different in that way. Otherwise it looks like the author doesn’t quite understand how it works.
Tl;Dr - it’s entertaining and not awful, but needs editing and some tuning up.
I don’t think I’ll read the rest of the series. Sounds like it’s going to get super complicated and unrealistic, even more than it already is.
Let me just take a moment to admit that I enjoyed Redemption a lot more than I did Reign. There I said. I admitted it.
I think I was more excited about this one because I really liked Daisy in book one, I thought she was adorably charming and couldn't wait to read her love story. Redemption very much follows Daisy and Seamus, or Ollie.
Ollie and Daisy right at the jump had a really powerful, intense chemistry. One that intrigued me. The protectiveness that Ollie felt for with Daisy was dreamy; he made me adore his character's personality so much. I think this is also why I liked Daisy so much. She was just this sweet, charming character who was kind of the crews' mediator. The glue to all the couples. Plus she was such a kickass and impressive female lead that I just cannot stop gushing about her. I just enjoyed her personality a lot, and her and Ollie together was just explosive.
The secondary characters plus the plot twists were also more apparent in Redemption. There was still a little disconnection with me and the plot, I don't know if I am just missing something, but there was a moment of rush-ness periodically that did create somewhat of a disengaged feel in terms of the plot.
Bottom line I am happy I continued the series and I am really excited to read on to Revenge. There are still points that I had slight issues with, but nonetheless this held better characterization, the development wasn't as holey as previous. More over I was very much able to connection emotionally with the characters, Daisy and Ollie just stole my heart.
Upon reading the synopsis for this book, I was immediately hooked to this series. Not to mention the swoon worthy cover which made me even more curious about this story. This author didn't disappoint! Redemption was such an enthralling read from beginning to end. Honestly I couldn't get of these two characters that I devoured this story in one sitting. I was completely hooked to Daisy and Seamus journey. Not to mention the colorful cast of supporting characters made this story even more compelling and highly entertaining. I'm so excited and intrigued to see how their stories will continue to play out in the series. There's definitely a good amount of storylines with this lovable cast of supporting characters. In addition, I loved the chemistry and dynamic between Daisy and Seamus. My heart truly went out for these characters especially in the struggles and obstacles that would challenge their relationship. Seamus wasn't the typical alpha male that you would expect in these types of MC romances. He was so caring and protective of Daisy especially during the time that she was dealing with the aftermath of her kidnapping. I couldn't help in falling in love with his character. Now I must admit that the story ends in a cliffhanger and there's still some unresolved issues. But I'm very excited to see how these characters will overcome these challenges and the newest changes in their relationship. You definitely don't want miss out on the next installment of this highly addictive series. Redemption is one MC romance that will leave you craving for more!
Daisy Brown was engaged to Kyle Michaels but he left her alone to face unimaginable torture and was not there for her healing after being rescued. Now two years later she is involved with a man, Oliver "Seamus" Virtis with who has brought happiness and security back in her life.
Now Kyle is back in town and believes that Daisy still belongs to him.
The Skulls Renegade also have their hands full trying to rescue women from being sold. But when they have to deal with the Russians they may be in more trouble than they thought.
Can Daisy put her own heart first and decide who she wants for her future?
This was a good read about picking up the pieces after a difficult event and seeing who is there with you. I liked the fighting nature of Daisy and she had to endure so much pain but Seamus really helped her deal with healing.
I knew what I wanted to happen in my heart but I was shocked at how Kyle was and how determined he was that Daisy belong to him, even after being gone for so long. I was pretty mad at his audacity and how he really didn't care that she had moved on.
I really liked Seamus and how he took care of Daisy through the worst of what she went through. He was determined not to lose her and was very frustrated that Kyle believed he would still have a right to claim her.
I am curious to see what is going to happen with the women as I know Elena has a safety net in place but at the same time there is so much uncertainty. I hope we get more of this aspect of club business soon!
The ending made me very happy and I look forward to more soon!
Daisy has been to Hell and back, returned to her motorcycle club family wounded, damaged and broken. The worst part is that her fiancé, Kyle, has deserted her and stays gone for two years, and at the absolute lowest point in her life when she most needed him. But Seamus is there for Daisy, to pick up the pieces and help put her back together. Through his compassion, care and friendship, Daisy heals and recovers, and her relationship with Seamus grows into more. What happens, though, when Kyle returns and claims that Daisy is still his woman?
The advance copy I read of this book is my first by this author, and it’s one of the best MC romances I’ve ever read! As one would expect of this genre, “Redemption” is brazen, raw and gritty, and chock full of rough, sexy alphas and strong, tough women. This standalone has a great storyline, full of danger, suspense, and intense action, with a plot thread that runs throughout the series. I adored both Daisy and Seamus, and I loved their amazing chemistry and seeing them get their happily ever after. And somehow, with all the mistakes and bad choices Kyle made, Ms. Knox managed to make me love him just enough that I hope there’s a happy ending for him somewhere down the road. If you like MC romance, be sure to grab this excellent, exciting read!
This is the second book in the series. I had agreed to review the newest release, Book 4 – and was provided the first three (squee!!)
**Spoilers ahead**
There isn’t quite as much going on in this book as there was in the first. However, once Daisy’s prior pregnancy is blurted out – it was an “instant know” that she would end up pregnant before the end of this book. I do hate being able to guess things instantly. ☹
Between Kyle and Ollie (aka Sea aka Seamus aka Oliver): I don’t know. I get girls moving on and the men being apes about it, but something rubbed me the wrong way with Kyle, after the history between he and the club and he and Daisy, being allowed to be VP.
The issue with Kyle and his father kind of left us hanging. To me, we never really knew the full story on why there was so much pent up hostility – it HAS to be more than simply not following in his footsteps. And whatever he said to him before leaving – we never really get told exactly what that is. So, there are a few loose ends.
One other thing that I feel I need to mention, again – for those that didn’t read my review of the first book – Don’t think Sons of Anarchy here – think about an MC doing good rather than being a 1% club.
Daisy and Seamus are having a secret love affair. They've been together for two years and no one in the club is aware of it. That is, until Kyle, her ex comes back into the picture attempting to reclaim Daisy. However, the couple is having none of that. Daisy previously went through hell due to circumstances Kyle was responsible for but left her to answer for. Seamus was the one there for her and they fell in love. They've kept it on the downlow but a heated altercation between Seamus and Kyle let's the cat out of the bag.
I actually really enjoyed the story. The author did a good job of conveying the love Daisy and Seamus have for each other. I found myself really wanting to believe their love story and hoping that Kyle wouldn't be allowed to destroy it. I was very much rooting for them to make it. Of course Redemption is the second book of the series and there are still things going on from the first book that have to be dealt with but overall, this is the love story of Daisy and Seamus.
Although I liked the story, I'm still not sure if this authors writing style. It's almost like she's impatient to tell the story and sometimes she doesn't fully flesh out the details. Also, there are a few editing issues that could bother some readers. I'm giving this book four stars for the convincing love story.
REDEMPTION is the first book that I have read by Elizabeth Knox, and I'm addicted. Even though this is book 2 in the Skull's Renegade series, I was able to pick up the ongoing storyline from book 1. However, I must admit, have gone and bought REIGN, and I am now, not so patiently, waiting for REVENGE to be released. That's how much I enjoyed this bookk.
I loved Daisy and Seamus (Ollie), they are the perfect couple. They fight, argue....but boy do they know how to make up!!!! Knowing how their friendship began and what suffering was endured by Dais, just endears you to them so much more. Ollie may be one almighty ox, but he is such a pillar of strength to Dais. He has stuck by her through thick and thin - unlike one other male. Their story is truly one that needs to be read, it will capture both your heart and your soul. You will laugh and cry with them, but one thing for sure is you will defintely love them.
Loved, loved, loved this book!!!! It is definitely one SCORCHINGLY HOT MC Book!! There are quite a few funny scenes with the girls that need to be read - especially at the stag party. A must read for all those who love the MC genre.
Daisy and Seamus have been together for 2 years but haven’t told the club yet. Daisy was previously the engaged Ol’ Lady to Kyle, the former President of the MC and blood brother to Reed, the current President. Three years earlier Kyle suddenly left, handing the gavel over to Reed but leaving bad debts behind and Daisy was taken as payment. She was raped, tortured and beaten until Seamus and the brothers found her. When she finally started coming back to herself it was Seamus who was there for her and things developed between them. Now Kyle has returned and seems to expect things to be just how he left them... Daisy his Ol’ Lady with his brand on her body. Well think again Kyle!
This was a good story as Daisy and Seamus deal with the return of Kyle, “coming out” to the club as a couple and just generally moving on together. A little bit of drama, some sexy times and ending with a hint at what the next book will be about, Redemption reads much better than the first book did. It isn’t as rushed as Reign and the story just generally flows much better. I give Redemption 4 stars.
Redemption by Elizabeth Knox. Redemption is the 2nd book in the Skulls Renegade Series. Elizabeth did a fabulous job writing this book. I loved the storyline and cast of characters she introduced to us in this book. Redemption is the story of Seamus, and Daisy. Daisy is a member of Skulls Renegade MC, and she prides herself on pushing past her demons. She has had a rough time of it, coming out of the worst break up possible with Kyle, the old Prez of Skulls Renegade MC. Kyle left her high and dry when she had to pay the price for his screw up with a loan shark. Kyle left her alone to face unimaginable torture and was not there for her healing after being rescued. Now two years later she is involved with a man named Oliver "Seamus" Virtis. Seamus has stood beside Daisy everyday since he saved her. As the story unfolds you can start to feel the chemistry between Daisy and Seamus but there are definitely some obstacles in the way here, and that makes for a suspenseful read. My heart literally pounding full of angst at certain moments in this book and the chemistry between the two is off the charts hot.
Redemption is the second book in the Skulls Renegade MC Series, and Knox does not disappoint! Although it could be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading Reign before reading redemption, as you will be able to follow on more fluently.
Imagine being left behind, holding all your fiancée's debts that have now become yours...and his no where to be found, add to the fact you become kidnapped.
A woman scorned is a sure way to ensure she becomes hardened or more wary, right?
This is Daisy's story. Yes you read that right, Daisy's story. What I have noticed with Knox's writing is that her female characters may have pasts or basically be flawed and possibly traumatised or hardened from events, they have had to live through, yet they always seem to be the ones holding everything together. There tough yet weak at the right times. (wink) Daisy's story really does pull at your heartstrings, just as her walls start to come down and she see's a possible future, filled with love and happiness, her past comes back to haunt her....will this ruin everything? A great addition to the Skulls renegade MC Series!!
"His touch is a volt of electricity, it soothes me in a way that no one ever has. This is what I crave. He is what I crave."
Completely complicated and messy, the story of Daisy, Seamus, and Kyle are an angry triangle full of tension. On one hand, you have a secret relationship that has blossomed more than either had ever hoped for, and on the other hand, you have the past screaming to be the present even after unforgivable mistakes have been made. I loved Daisy and Seamus, especially when she called him her ox, and he was such an alpha, yet sweet underneath, so it made my choice for Daisy quite easy. I loved the message of forgiveness, healing, and emerging stronger than ever, even if it wasn't where you thought you would end up. I giggled a ton at the banter and the antics, but they were also hot enough to burn up the pages. A really great MC read!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review.
Redemption was Amazing!!! Don't judge a series by the first book because book 2 (Redemption) was Freaking Awesome! This is Daisy's story and get ready because it's an emotional one! This strong woman is remarkable! I loved this book! We get a bit of the past in Daisy's story and the pain she is overcoming and her secrets. She has to deal with her past due to her ex being back in the picture and secrets come to light, the biggest being her secrete relationship. This book is Hot!!! Dais and her Man heat up the pages through this story with their red hot passion! It's a wild ride full of emotions. I really love that we get more of a foundation on the goings on of the club with this book. And we still get a continuation from book one's characters just from different points of views. There was lots of excitement and drama that kept you hooked and waiting to know more. I can't wait to read book three! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I was so nervous about reading this book because I was afraid it would be like Reign book one of the series....but Redemption is so good I enjoyed the story from beginning to end. I felt the author kept to the storyline and there wasn't an outrageous back story to Dais..aka Daisy the female lead. She is one tough character , Knox has put Dais though hell but gave her beauty, strength and loyalty. Daisy's character will put you though the emotions of pain, laughter, anger, love and inspiration. Seamus aka Ollie is on my list of Ultimate book boyfriends. Sea and Dais love story is beautiful and I loved it. I am hoping Kyle will get his HEA one of these days. I would say you can start this series with Redemption but I would suggest reading book one Reign to get the background on most of the characters and this book starts right at the end of Reign. This series is on Kindle Unlimited so you can always hit that button or one click it. Happy Reading!!!!
