Pitchfork Press is an awesome to the Flintlock series. I recommend it and am looking forward to more in the series. I give it four stars.

Action keeps peppering on. Old Man Hammer, trained by Chinese, kidnaps Louise, to marry, and Sam feels he owes Smith, her pa, to rescue. When the ghost Barnabus stops advising his grandson, women Pinkerton detectives enter scene, one perhaps Sam's ma.

Last in the series. Overall the series gets a 3 as most of the stories were decent with a touch of weird. This one though had too many 'wrap ups' that I didn't really enjoy. I'd rather have not read it and wondered.

Nice action

Some surprises. I really enjoyed this book. It has some interesting twists and turns. The villain in this story is pure evil.

Interesting story. Looks like this is the last book of this series. I was totally blown away with what happens to O'Hara. Flintlock finally meets his mom and finds out what his name is.

At the end of a hard day, reward yourself with a Johnstone book. Whether set in the Old West, like this one or the early mountain settlements; you'll always lose yourself in these books. The good guys win in the end, but the story along the way takes you into the character's life and times. If you love westerns, you need to be reading the Johnstone books!
