Uninspiring, and not very well written. I'm not sure it occurred that readers might not have the same politics as him. I would also say he's not properly sourced, and likely not qualified to make many of the statements in this book. This book is nonsense.

Simple and easy to read, spent around 35 minutes one evening and 25 minutes the next morning to finish the book.

I understand the point the author is trying to make however with the title being as it is, I kind of expected a more scientific read with fact based content rather than what seems to be more so the authors opinion.

Perhaps I would have a different view if I read this book before I read "The Chimp Paradox" which is a more scientific approach to content that educates the reader. Who knows.

Steven Schuster makes some odd assumptions about the reader but by the end I came to the conclusion that much of this book was self-talk.

Practice advice that can help you think differently about some things

This book provides practical pointers on ways to reframe how you think about things and emphasizes the importance of considering what is really important. It talks a little about the brain and how it works and he weaves in ways to counteract some of the ways the brain tends to work against you.

I wish I could give half stars. I would give this one a 4.5. A quick, simple concept read. A nice reminder of simple brain shifts that are doable to bring peace and joy to your life. Don’t get caught up in others and the drama. Being the best version of yourself and how to allow your natural emotions to show, but have them in check so they don’t rule your life and day.

Great read

I really like that this book invites you to take a good look at your own mind set and reconsider how you approach different aspects. I didn’t think this book would apply to me as I’m a fairly up beat person but I had some really educating take aways from this short easy to read book. Thank you Steve!

Good refreshment to the original mindset book.

Although most of the concepts have been mentioned elsewhere, I.e. the concepts of mindset/mindfulness, the author did a good job in illustrating the problems and some potential solutions in his book.

Introduces some helpful changes, Hut it didn't really go deep enough into the tools for creating those changes.

I liked what he had to say about meditation and that he reinforced my theory on working on habits over goals in the long term....
