Mindset And Passion

Rate this book
"Mindset And Passion - The Psychology Of Success" is neither a Psychological book nor a Philosophical one. It would be injustice to treat it like a book. It's not a book, it's a guide, a practical approach to success. It's like an energy booster drink. It's a cocktail of Psychology, Philosophy and Management. The key ingredients of this cocktail are Dream, Willpower and Passion.

There are many success stories in the world. There are many successful people around us. We see them as successful but are they? It's a big question!

There are people of a particular faith who read and believe in a Holy Book of their religion but do they follow it in the same way? I don't think so!

There are people associated with a particular social, political or religious organization but do all of them follow the guidelines of the organization? Yes, but not completely!

The same is with the success. Success is not a fixed term, it doesn't have a fixed definition. Meaning of success is different for different people and their purposes.

So, what is success?
"Exactly, the success is an achievement of something desired".
If you don't have any desire, if you are satisfied with your present situation, the success is just like nonsense for you. You can't be passionate with such an attitude and if you don't have passion, you can't be successful.

I am not totally certain what the "author" was trying to accomplish here. Yet for me it sure did not happen, on any level, or any particular subject with the exception of some of the worst grammar I have seen in quite some time. It comes across as simply gibberish-broken English sort of pieced together so you get sort of a point. I could go on yet with my explanation being so vague- well, that is exactly what you will encounter in this "book." It's not a long book at all, about nothing in particular that I could put a finger on, but if you choose the endeavor, you will need some time to try and figure out what the author is trying to say. I became lost, quickly. My thought is- it has been translated somewhere along the line-just not well...

When you read fiction for a long time, a good self help feels like a fresh breeze.
So whenever things get monotonous, I try to freshen up myself with a self-help book. Mindset and Passion by Prakash Vir Sharma is yet another self help book that talks about motivation, taking crucial decisions, and changing your monotonous dull and boring into something that is challenging, rewarding, and satisfying.
The thing which I liked about the book is that there are plenty of examples where the author shares his own experiences where he has dealt with difficult situations, took his own decisions (right or wrong) and carried on with his life without any self-doubt or regret.
The book is written from heart and is spontaneous, which I liked. My only criticism was with the readability of the book. Some sentences need to be shortened down and some words should be replaced with more appropriate words.
But overall, I liked this book and recommend it to all those who like reading self-help motivational books dealing with life choices, decisions, and motivation.

Negativity is something we all find can start to creep in to our everyday lives, before we know it the feeling has started to dominate a lot what we are trying to achieve. I like a self help book, and whilst this is not going to be a miracle remedy it can certainly help you to hit the reset button and look a life and your daily problems with a much more positive outlook.

Mindset and Passion is a great, short read that emphasizes how a strong mentality toward what a person does is essential for success. This book provides explanations of the various components that make-up this mindset, and provides suggestions for ways to strengthen weaknesses. I enjoyed the various real-life examples that were incorporated throughout the book. While there may be room for editing improvements, I felt the ideas in this book were expressed well and are beneficial for people who are striving for success.

Prakash Vir Sharma has some great ideas on mindset and definitely a passion and drive to succeed that he shares with others through this writing. There are many examples of achievements after failed attempts and hardships to inspire readers to persevere. I received an advance copy for review of “Mindset and Passion”. Though there is still some editing to be done it is a good reminder to keep an open mind, research your dreams and never give up.

"Mindset And Passion - The Psychology Of Success" by Prakash Vir Sharma is a book for everyone, be a student, a housewife, a professional or a retiree.
I especially liked the sixth chapter “The Enlightenment”.
There are many examples, success stories in the book.
What makes successful people different from others? What is psychology of success itself? Success and failure has different meaning for different people.
The author’s own life experiences are shared.
I recommend reading this book when you are low or tired. After reading, you will surely feel rejuvenated !!

A good book

The author asks us to complete set of questionnaires and asks us to prepare a SWOT analysis on ourselves.

He shares his experiences and also tells some inspiring stories of achievers.
