Keira Swanson, 28, returns to New York, her head spinning from her Ireland trip and still madly in love with Shane. But when a surprise event comes between them, their relationship may have to end.
Keira is a star at her magazine, though, and they give her their next plum assignment: to travel to Italy for 30 days and discover what the Italian secret is to love.
Keira, still reeling from her Ireland trip, finds her high expectations for Italy dashed, as nothing at first goes as was planned. In her whirlwind trip through Italy, spanning Naples, the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Rome, Verona, Venice and Florence, Keira begins to wonder if the Italians really do hold a secret to love.
That is, until she meets her new tour guide—and everything she thought she knew is turned on its head.

Okay if I could give a ZERO star review I would and never in my life have I felt this disappointed in a book before... Shane and Keira were amazing I was so happy about there ending and then big spoiler I read book 2 and they break up!?!? Wtf.... and then she falls for another man? Like hold up no I stopped reading once stupid christiano came into the picture this was a horrible read just showing how fickle love can be not a romance just a book to mess with your head and heart. I will not be finishing the series. If my rating was based solely on this book it would have been 4 stars hands down. But once I went into book 2 excited to see where life would take this couple, well I was sorely disappointed and that’s an understatement. And then!!! I go and read the synopsis to the other 3 books in the series and she flip flops between even more me. And leaves christiano and gets with some Swedish dude then end up single and miserable and then back to christiano? I will say hands down this is the WORST series I’ve seen in my entire life.
I didn’t quite make it to the end of this book, but at 83% done I hated the main character’s rash stupidity so much I couldn’t go on. The plot and twists were incredibly forced and uninteresting and that’s only comparing it to other romance novels.
I purchased this book after reading the first book in the series, which I absolutely loved. I was eager to see how Shane and Keira‘s relationship would evolve and was extremely disheartened to see that he was written out of the story almost immediately. I felt a bit cheated, so found it hard to get into this book.
I found that her new love interest wasn’t nearly as interesting as Shane was, but it’s hard at this point to say if it’s because I was comparing the two or because he’s not as interesting.
What I did really enjoy about both stories is the highlighting of what home and family means. There is great beauty around us, wherever we are, and it’s the people and places in our lives that lend flavor to how we live.
I did find a few editing issues with the book, but overall it was an OK story.
It makes zero sense that Kiera and Shane would call it quits so abruptly and that knowing that Shane was in distress because his father is in the hospital that Kiera feels that because he is doing what he thinks is best for him (even if it is rash) that it is personal about her.
Kiera also says that the reason she and Shane didn’t work is because of distance and that Shane didn’t run after her or jumó to live with her because of his family but that it is perfectly fine that she didn’t either. And it also seems that the only reason Kiera likes cristiano so much is because of how hot he is.
Kiera is really judgmental and she projects her own insecurities on other people and she toys with cristianos feelings because of how she is responding to assumptions and stereotypes of the type of man cristiano is. Their relationship seems really disingenuous and forced.

This was about a girl in love with love. This girl in spite of being from NYC is very naive and way too trusting for being a world traveling journalist. Just very hard to believe and digest. I couldn't finish it even though I read almost half of it. I kept hoping it would get better.
I enjoy that I can travel to these foreign places by way of my reading chair. The author’s descriptions of the sites and experiences make me wish I could be there. I want to eat gelato along the Amalfi coast. I want to experience All Soul’s Day in Florence. And I want to take a gondola ride in Venice (preferably one where I don’t fall overboard and continue to wander about the city ignorant of the fact that I’ve taken a dunk into watery excrement and am likely assaulting everyone I meet with my sewer stench).
What I find lacking is the same issue a lot of reviewers have it seems - Keira. She is hard to like as the main character. From a writing standpoint, I get that it is more interesting to have a new love interest in each book/location. I mean, who doesn’t want an Irish love interest in the book about Ireland or an Italian in the book on Italy to add a little authenticity to the experience. But having Keira jump between three “love” interests in the span of two books makes her disingenuous and, therefore, hard to invest in as the main character in a series. She obviously has no idea what real love is and probably shouldn’t be writing about it for a living.
What I found to be a very unforgiving character flaw for Keira is her complete lack of feeling for those in her rear view mirror. Does she not remember that the Irish town from book one also gets copies of her magazine? Does she not realize that publishing her “love” with Cristiano in Italy is going to reach Shane, his sweet family, and every other Irish character from the first book that we came to care about? Also, her flakiness about finding “love” in Ireland only to immediately ditch it to find “love” in Italy could negatively affect the tourism that those Irish characters depend on so much. This type of thoughtlessness, both from Keira and her creator (yes, I’m taking to you Sophie Love), make her unlikeable.
Honestly though, this is marketed as a romance novel - right down to the cover. When we pick up this kind of book, the expectation is a little bit of escapism and a guaranteed happily ever after. I think Sophie Love and her editors/publishers forgot that. Because instead of happily ever after, these books advocate a “love” the one your with mentality. Or, at least, “love” the one your with until it becomes inconvenient and then move on to the next available fling. This is not love and therefore can never be a true happily ever after. The revolving door of bachelors is not what I wanted or expected and I am very disappointed is the take away from these books. Basically, this series would be better written as stand alone novels with new central characters each time.

It took me a little while to finish this book. As much as I loved the first book of the series, I was shocked that Keira’s love stories with Shane did not last ... no solution, no battle, no pain .... it feels a bit unrealistic if she really felt in love with him. And suddenly she fall in love with Cristiano and give it more even if Shane is trying to fight for her .... so sad that the first book does not go further .... Keira falls in love as easily as ordering coffee after being so stubborn in the first book about her feelings. I will keep reading hoping for a Shane twist .... life is not consecutive love story like this .... from the outside Romance guru or not , she seems to be too volatile...

Oh my, will anything go right for our journalist Kiera when she gets sent to Italy? Once again, Love takes us on a journey that tends to feel we are right there, along for the ride. However, some of the situations Kiera finds herself in are ones I would prefer to pass, given the choice. She does, however, find love. But will it last this time? Travel across Italy on trains, motorcycles, and foot; you can almost taste the food, feel the jostle of the train, and most of all be warmed by those handsome arms that enfold her. This is a wonderful follow up to Love Like This and I’m left wondering what’s next in store for our fearless Kiera.
This book is a cute story set in Italy. The setting, and the fact that the main character Kiera gets to interview long lasting couples about true love make the book redeemable. Otherwise it is shallow. How can people really fall in and out of love that quickly? In one book she’s in love with Shane. That’s after just getting over Zack. Now in this book there’s a new guy? I appreciate that Irish love and Italian love may have different approaches and different goals, but it’s pretty obvious at this relationship probably won’t last either. As Kiera grows in her confidence, her writing skills, her career, and her friendships, I don’t see her maturing even though she’s almost 30.
The best part of this book is Italy, a place I would love to visit. The locations in this series are truly characters in the story and probably the best ones. This book deviates a little in the romance series format since the "happily ever after" guy from the first book is quickly gone in this one. The editing could be SO much better and the lead character is pretty annoying, in my opinion. I thought Christiano was a lovely character and I enjoyed his family as well. I think he can do better than Keira.
The storyline we see here feels a bit forced and is not nearly as charming as the first book. I think the author could have spent some more time developing Cristiano as I just hate him? He is just a random hunk with what qualities? I hate how Shane disappeared out of nowhere and too quickly. It kept things interesting that Kiara's first tour guide was a bust in Italy. The pressure from her job was also thickening the plot. I just do not like the way Cristiano happened and it has ruined the love for their relationship for me.

This one didn’t have the same amount of magic that the first one did BUT it did have a lot of laughs and it once again let me travel by way of my couch!
I’m still not sold on some things but I’m hoping the next book wins me over!
I enjoyed the characters and the setting, even if Italy’s tourism board might not like how some cities were depicted 😉
This is a great series if you’re looking for some light hearted, fun, closed door escapism type of a read!
SO disappointing! The love story that quickly but sweetly unfolded in the first book in the Ireland setting was crushed by this one. I was giving the author a second chance to redeem herself. But as it progressed, it just got worse. No more Shane, just like that and run to bed with the next guy. Mostly, this depicts an insecure, fickle woman with poor mental health. So incredibly poorly developed. Not interested at all in the rest of the series if this is the depressing theme.

Only redeeming qualities in this book was that I Loved hearing about the country of Italy and all the beautiful opportunities it has to offer. I wasn’t fond of the main character Keira in the first book and her fickle attitude and tendency to jump to conclusions, making rash ill informed decisions but I thought I would give book two a shot anyways. Unfortunately, it only got worse and my dislike for her character increased. Will not torture myself with the rest of the series.
First book was good and the reader (audiobook) was great so i bought the second book. First chapter was disappointing in that a breakup happens before they get started, just for the main character to go off to Italy to find another lover and concoct all sorts of imaginary assumptions... It was a pill to get through the rest of the story just after the first chapter due to the absurdity of "let's not talk about it and just end it".

Um. What? They just kill the romance from the last book. And then suddenly she's "in love" again? I kinda hate this. I kept listening hoping she'd get back with Shane in the end... but no? I won't be finishing the series.
Having been to Italy, there were some details that seemed off... but oh well.
I don't normally review, so if I'm reviewing it's probably a big deal. This book was extremely disappointing. I gave it a 2 star because I thought the writing was fine, but the plot was not what I was expecting in a terrible way. The main character was a brat and she's very clearly not in love if she's constantly bouncing from person to person.
I don’t know if I loved this less because she gave up on Shane and Ireland or what. I love Ireland and the Irish so naturally, i wanted Keira to return. However, I’ve never been to Italy and now I feel like I must.
I just didn’t love this book. After reading the first one I was really let down by this one. I did, however, love that it took place in Italy because we just recently traveled there! The author did a great job describing it.
I completely enjoyed the characters, location f this journey and the ups and downs. I was not sure where Keira would land after having Shane break her heart, but I was thrilled a new hunk came into her travels in Italy to shake things up!
4 stars due to Kiera being so quick to make assumptions and running out on him.
Bummed out when Shane broke things off early in the book, but her journey through Italy was exciting. Was happy with the way the book ended. Wondering what will happen in book #3 when back in NYC!
audiobook in 2018 - hated it. pissed me off. what the hell was that?? Shane & Keira were perfect. this book ruined it for me and i never read the third book. probs never will. the Italian whirlwind romance was not needed because Shane LOVED HER WTF???
I really enjoyed this book. From the detail it shared of Italy has now made me want to go and visit myself, I want to see the views, culture and try their food. The love story was also enjoyable.
I don't know if the fem protag was more likable in the first book, but she is super whiny in this one. It's basically all she's done and I'm over two hours in. Can't take it.
If you read the first book, you can skip this one easily. They are pretty much the same. I was expecting to read about Shane and Keira’s love story and I got an Italian with very little personality.
