What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas—unless it follows you home

All Ashley Jacobs wants to do is forget about the Get Rocked! In Vegas Festival and get on with her life. Unfortunately, the one night she spent in the arms of British band, Style Strike’s bad boy bass player, Paul Gray makes that simple wish impossible. She’s brought home more than memories. What should have been a fun fling before she settled into her orderly life has gone awry. To her horror, Ashley’s entire life is turned upside down when she discovers that she’s pregnant. She’s literally about to be left holding the baby.

Paul Gray’s never forgotten that night in Vegas with the woman who wanted nothing to do with a rock star. Style Strike’s US tour has gone from strength to strength and his social media star is on the rise. Paul finds himself surrounded by everything he's worked so hard to achieve. His life is awash with women, fame and fortune—but all he can think about is the sensual woman who walked away from him that night in Vegas.

Knowing the tour's about to hit her hometown, Ashley makes the sensible decision to contact Paul. He needs to be told about the baby, doesn’t he?

A little slow at the beginning. Felt like I had missed part of the story. But it panned out and I was actually enjoying the book.
The ending to me was abrupt. It felt like an unfinished book. The next book in the series is about Murf.
Good but wouldn’t recommend if u are looking for a good completed story beginning to end

What happens when you have a one nighter with a rock star while in Vegas? Like most times it would be a one and done and never hear from the other again. Oh, no, no not in this case. Ashley got a lot more than she bargained for after that one night with Paul and Paul couldn’t stop thinking about Ashley even if he was gone the next day on their way to the next venue they were performing at.

If you love rock romances you will want to read Ashley and Paul’s story because this author knows how to write a rocker book. I loved all the behind the scenes at concerts and how these rock gods were able to get all these people/fans to fall at their feet. For me the onstage persona and the real person differences were insightful. It really did open up the world of what a rock star’s music meant to them and how they could incorporate a family at the same time into the crazy life they lead out on tour. I can’t wait to read more on the other guys in the band because I’m now hooked.

I received this book as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.

I have to start this review by saying I love Toni Kenyon's books!!

This is the story of Paul Gray and his up and coming band Style Strike. A music festival in Vegas several months ago brought Paul and Ashley together for a whirlwind one night of romance. And normally what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, until weeks later, Ashley finds out that the one night stand with Paul has left her pregnant. While there was a spark between both Paul and Ashley in Vegas and they have thought about each other since their hook up, their lives are going in totally opposite directions. He's on the rise, spending the majority of a year on the road. She's in her dream job, until the pregnancy begins to derail that.

Should she tell Paul about the baby? Ashley decides to email him a very superficial hi, how are you email. When he responds, she finds out he will be in her home town for several nights during the tour.

"Hi, how are you?" The deep gravel sound of Paul's voice was unmistakable. The small swell of hope that I had been nurturing in my stomach become a full-blown tsunami of optimism.

I loved the fact that this book included appearances from Julian and Mags from The Private Love Rockstar Series ! Mags is so wise!

"If you can't cope with the man that's out there doing what he does to entertain, and the reaction of his fans to him, then you best go and find yourself a nice anonymous bloke who does a nine-to-five job and arrives home every night at the same time."

At times, even though I loved Paul, I was angry with him!

"I can't be a father," he whispered. "Look at my life. I'm on the road, with a band. You can't do this to me.

Can Paul and Ashley find a way to make this work? I cannot wait for the next book in this series!!

"But how do you know that it's going to work out?" I asked Mags. "Because he chose me," she said. "Because he comes home to me. Because I'm the stability in his life." She waved her hand out in front of the stage. "All of this. It can go in an instant. But he knows that I'll always be there for him and that's why it works."

This was a really quick read (two hours from front to back). I always love rock star books. I especially liked the vlogging aspect that made the band different. Paul, the bassist and male protagonist, added his own touch to gaining fans by vlogging the behind the scenes and even parts of the show, so fans could feel more personal with the band.

Ashley. Man, I felt so bad for this chick. One night of fun turned sour, costing her the job of her dreams and leaving her in state of depression. Her roommate didn’t help matters, trying to convince her to abort the pregnancy. I didn’t like her friend much. Not the very warm and supportive type and seemed more like a bad influence.

I couldn’t warm up to Paul. When women weren’t around, he seemed like a good person, ready to settle down, couldn’t stop thinking about Ashley and their one night together. However, the second a woman threw themselves at him, he dove right in. Though he had mild regret the morning after, the fact that he had no self-control in the first place was a major turn off.

The back and forth of emotions and decisions gave me whiplash. If I was Ashley, I would have run the other way and never turned back. Paul was a major jerk to her when things didn’t go the way he wanted. I understood him thinking he had to choose between her and the baby and his career, but the way he stated things just left a bad taste in my mouth. Ashley had her whole life turned upside down and had already lost enough, and there he was, making her feel worse instead of supporting her.

This is my first book from the author, and the book is labeled as the first of a series. However, it felt like the book started in the middle of a series. There were characters and couples that felt like they had their own book already and this was a continuation of an overall story.

Ashley Jacobs is a responsible young woman who has worked hard to get the internship out of college that she dreamt of, and decided to celebrate with a hook up at the Get Rocked! In Vegas Festival that she went to with her best friend. She's tried to forget about that night with british rocker Paul, but unfortunately, she came home with more than just a cool story. Her whole life is thrown out of whack when she learns that she's pregnant, and she doesn't know what to do. Paul Gray is the wild bassist for the band Style Strike who has never forgotten that night in Vegas with Ashley. As his band's US Tour has gotten stronger, he finds himself with everything he dreamed about, except her. When Ashley contacts him, he's excited as the tour is getting close to her, so he talks her into coming to see him. But how will he react to the news that Ashley has for him? Style was a story that in typical Toni Kenyon fashion, instantly captivated me, to where I devoured it in one sitting. Her brilliant writing style, once again, shone with a rocker story that I couldn't get enough of. While I loved both Ashley & Paul, both of them had flaws that irritated me, but that only made them more realistic. And the colorful cast of secondaries only added more to the story, with some well placed humor among the angsty moments. I LOVE this author, and will NEVER EVER get enough of her fabulous stories, so all that's left is to HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This was my first book by this author but the blurb spoke to me and I wanted to see if it lived up to my expectation... I am always a sucker for a pregnancy romance but rocker romances can be kinda hit or miss for me - they are usually big man-whores, which can be a turn off sometimes depending on how the author plays it.

Unfortunately the beginning of the book set the tone for me and ended up being an uphill battle to win me over. I think though that many people will enjoy the story and perhaps it was just me personally that had some issues.

Although the book is listed as #1 in a series, I felt like I was missing pieces of the story and characters and was trying to sort it all out as I went along. Also there were some parts of the story that bothered me but that's just me! I totally suggest that you read for yourself!

In the end I did end up enjoying the story though and was satisfied with how things were left.

This was a what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas read. Ashley, with the help of her bestie, let loose one night and had a great one night with Paul, a member of the rock band Style Strike. A few weeks later, Ashley finds out that she is pregnant, and has no clue how to tell Paul or if he would even want to know. With some emails sent back and forth, the two decide to meet up when the band gets to town. Now she just has to figure out how to tell Paul, and pray he takes the news well.

So this is the first book in this new series, but it read like it was the third or fourth book. With constant mentions of characters from previous books, as well as those characters being major parts of this story, it probably would have worked better for me had I read the other series. I couldn't really connect with Paul and Ashley, they both got on my nerves. There is so much more I would like to comment on... but no spoilers, I give this 3.5 stars.

~~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~~
Ashley Jacobs met Paul Gray the bass player for the British Rock Band Style Strike in Vegas and did something she hadn't done before and spent the night with him. Paul hasn't been able to get Ashley out of his mind since Vegas, she was so different for any other woman he had met before. Ashley has gone back to Seattle to start her new job but unfortunately someone hitched a ride back with her from Vegas. What happens when what happens in Vegas changes your life forever?
Ashley is such a strong but confused character and Paul isn't much better when they find out they are pregnant. They go on this journey trying to figure out how they fit in each others' lives and if life on the road with a baby is going to work out. Very special rock story that had me turning the pages as fast as I could. Great story and I loved how Ashley became Paul's vulnerability.
Liked the story
I'm gonna make the complaint that we don't say biscuits we have cookies and they are not refrigerated. There were other terms Ashley said that were not US lingo. Its not hard to say our words and the internet tells what we say. I feel like the characters from from different countries not mine. Of course the band was. I felt there was no respect for women what's so ever to excuse that private video. It was disrespectful of Ashley and Paul should have never done it since the guys get in his phone. They treated Ashley like a whore. Especially considering that Paul was with the tattoo artist before he saw Ashley again. That was sad. I didn't care for all the advice Mags gave either. She didn't take sides with Ashley nor did she know all the facts. But over all I liked the romance and for a min there I thought he was gonna leave her it was so up and down in his head.
What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas. After a one night stand with a rockstar Ashley gets more then she bargained for. Not one to sleep around and starting the job of her dreams she is completely surprised to find out she's pregnant.
Paul is living his dream, playing music and vastly becoming a rock star is all he's ever wanted. With a different groupie every night he still can't seem to forget the gorgeous creature from Vegas. Looking out among the crowds every night looking for her he is relieved to finally get an email from her. Hoping to pick up where that one night left off he can't wait to see her again.
These two are such wonderful characters as is everyone else in the book. I loved the story line and it flowed really well. This was my first book by this author and I will definitely check out her other work.
This is the first time I have read any of this authors work, but it will definitely not be the last. Ashley and Paul meet at a music festival in Vegas, and end up spending the night together. Paul is the sexy bad boy bass player of Style Strike, and as his career takes off, he ends up touring all over with his band. When he ends up in Ashley’s hometown she is left with the dilemma of whether he should know that there were results from their night together. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed!
This author has written a brilliant storyline, which had me hooked and intrigued from the very beginning. I cannot wait to read more of this series, and this author has certainly been added to my favourite and 1.click lists. Amazing work Toni!!
I thought this book was fantastic! Paul was a rockstar living the life. Only thing is he just cannot seem to forget the woman he met in Vegas. Ashley had one night in Vegas with a rockstar and she walked away with more than a memory. Two people from two different life styles thrown together. Their connection is strong but is it enough? Could they both want what they never knew they did? I so enjoyed watching them realize what they wanted to find their HEA. Add in Julian and Mags from The Private Love Rockstar series made it extra special. It was great to see how they are doing now. Looking forward to more stories from the other guys in the band.
--Fist pumping-- I absolutely love rocker romances. I know I've said it before. But when you absolutely love the fictional characters and the fictional band the author has written about it just makes reading it so much more enjoyable.
Ashely and Paul have one awesome story to tell. They meet meeting at a concert in Vegas. Paul is a member of one of the band. Ashely attends the concert with her best friend. One thing leads to another and the night is over. Little did either of them know it would change their lives forever.
Super hot. So sexy. This book is so much fun to read.
This was a great book.
Paul is the bass player for an up and coming band. He is a bit of a bad boy and enjoys the attention he gets from the groupies. That is until he meets Ashley at a festival in Vegas.
Ashley wanted a quiet life, that all changed when she spent one night with Paul and came home with more than just a Vegas hangover…. she’s pregnant.
Ashley has to decide if she should tell Paul about the baby and if she does how will he react?
Can these two overcome the obstacles thrown at them after one night together?
A quick enjoyable read. This pretty much takes you behind the scenes of a band touring. Ashley isn't into rock stars but a trip to Vegas with her friend Madi to see a band at the festival left Ashley with more than she bargained for. With her being pregnant with Paul's baby she is now tasked into letting him know that she is pregnant. All in all it was a quick read I just wish it didn't end with me wanting a little more.
Style
This was the first of three stories about a rock band who's ride to fame in the US. The story opens up with the bass player who met a woman in Vegas. But here he go d's out that she is pregnant. What happens next is the story line. How will either of them cope or not cope with lifestyle and the changes in-store.
Utopian book about getting knocked up by a rockstar who can't get you off his mind. So you email him about getting together for a catch up and the meeting is set. We meet in a very nice hotel and it takes two minutes for is to fall into bed together. We have three days together and everything is resolved and everything is unicorns and rainbows.
Enjoy
This story was awesome. It had a wonderful plot and the characters are great. Paul and Ashley were very endearing. Toni writes stories very well. I'm looking forward to the next band members story. I volunteered to read an advance copy for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. A rock star and a fling with consequences makes for an interesting read especially when it's low on fluff and high on realism. Looking forward to seeing what happens next in this series.
fun story
I’m happy this couple didn’t stubble around what they wanted any more than they did and just went for the happy ever after even though it wasn’t the one they always thought they would get. I enjoyed this modern romance. thanks.
Paul was a rockstar living the dream. When he met Ashley there was something about her. When Ashley tells him something that will change his life how will he react? Will Ashley be able to handle Paul’s fame? I enjoyed their story as they both figured out what they needed for a HEA. Their chemistry was great. Add in the rest of the guys in the band and Julian and Mags from a prior series and I found this a great story to read.
I was concerned when I started this book about how the Author's note, at the beginning warns you she is from New Zealand and her words might be difficult to understand. However I felt like the writing flowed so well that it was super quick and easy read. Being on board with Paul being the man for Ashley is another story. He just didn't seem genuine, like he was player. I felt like she deserved better or at least someone who wouldn't hurt her. However he is her baby daddy so I guess I see the dilemma for her. She seems to think he is what is best for her though....'Paul had done nothing except put me at ease from the moment that I’d met him.' It is a quick read that is over before you can blink but with loads of drama in the mix.
