This is my new emergency book!
As someone who is constantly struggling with her emotions and just life in general, I believe that this book is definitely one that will help me up when I’m feeling down. It discusses a lot of things that we (as people) deal with in our day to day lives and even gives helpful tips on how to deal with those #feels.
However, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this book to a guy or anyone over the age of 40. While I do like this book and find it to be helpful, I also believe that it is directed towards a certain audience. I feel like young women or teen girls are more likely to enjoy this book which isn’t necessarily a bad thing in my opinion just a thought.
Overall, I can definitely see myself reaching for this book again in the near future. Whether it’s in search of some friendly advice or a life changing tip, I believe that Kalyn really nailed what she was going for when writing this book. Every chapter feels as though a friend is giving me some hard-hitting advice and there were moments where what she was saying really struck a chord.
If I had to compare this book to anything it’d be those “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books but instead of hearing relatable stories by complete strangers, it was going to a friend for a shoulder to cry on.
