I work with one of Gaston's children, which is how I knew about this book. Interesting account about how these resistance movements manifested themselves and operated. The personal perspective, written as a diary, created a sense of being there. Worth reading to see what these brave souls did to fight the evil encompassing Europe at the time.

Amazing story, odd writing though. I’m not a fan of diary style writing and knowing that this wasn’t his actual diary, it struggled maintaining themes.

Incredible read made more incredible by knowing this is a true story. His mental fortitude and unflappable devotion to his moral code is inspiring and can’t be taught

This book was lent to me by a man who works at radioshack. He knew Gaston Vandermeersche personnally, having worked with him as a physicist on a project. This is the incredible story of a young Belgian who founded the Deutch resistance network WIM in 1943.
