REVIEW
Devon is your typical young man. He was left a good sum of money from his Uncle and well he ponders it away of course on booze and women. One night while in a tavern a lady comes in under some stress and being the gentlemen he offers his aid. Big MISTAKE for a man who normally wouldn't help anyone.
He will, however, remember her name forever and always because it changed his life forever Allora Brently. Who he thought a bit weird at first meeting.
He should have listened to his intuition.

A manor that stood empty for many years is now occupied but just who occupies it?
Bobbie Skye manages an apartment building that is being sold, and she has very little time to gather her things and get out.
She has applied to many places and hears back
from one just in the nick of time. But does she really want it?

What a wickedly good first book in a new series. Can't wait to see what we get next.
Yes there is a cliffhanger.

Another great series from Claudy Conn. Vampires, Werewolves and Witches all in beautiful Scotland. Dark Warlocks and evil female vampires causing trouble. Prince Breslyn is mentioned and Fae artifacts. I love how Claudy ties her series together. Very exciting!

Lord Devin MacLeod is returning to London after being away for a while after the tragic loss of his parents. He has now lost his beloved Uncle and is the last of his immediate family. He has inherited Castle MacLeod besides the MacLeod Manor from his parents and vows to do better for his people now. One night he goes to the tavern for a romantic tryst with the barmaid. A beautiful lady, Allora Brently, walks in looking lost. Being a gentleman and for some reason feeling compelled to, Devin asks if he can help her. She gratefully accepts his help. It's a night he'll regret!!

Bobbie Skye (who is a powerful and immortal witch) has just lost her job and apartment in one swoop. She has been the manager of the apartment complex which has been sold for condos. She has applied for other jobs but hasn't heard back from any. Then she receives a letter from Jeremy Ascot of Ascot & Harcourt with an offer of a job as an estate manager at the Castle MacLeod. She'll have her own suite to live in and a small salary. Seems like a dream come true, but is it and who referred her for the job?

Loved this excellent story as well as the main characters, Devin and Bobbie. It engages you from the beginning to the end, couldn't put it down until I finished it. Has magic, supernatural, suspense and sexy romance. I highly recommend it and so looking forward to the next one as this one is a cliffhanger.

"With such power comes great responsibility..."

One of the many quotes from the book that jumped out at me. There is just something about a book with the Scottish/Irish brogue that makes my day, and this story has it all. The sexilicious stud, the beauty, and the evil antagonist.

The characters are believable, likable, and well developed as well as their backgrounds. Devin is a dream, even if he is a vampire, trapped in another realm. Bobbie, is a kick ass character, an immortal witch! Allora! OMGosh the picture of evil incarnate, ruthless, and on a mission.

Bobbie Skye is going through life's obstacles when she lands the job at the MacLeod Estate in Scotland.

Perfect timing I'd say!

Devin MacLeod is a vampire trapped in another realm, wanting freedom so bad he can taste it. Where he is trapped blew me away. Just have to read it to find out.

Allora is an ancient, evil, vindictive, and sadistic vampire, hell bent on destruction without a moral compass in sight. I would Love to behead her...

This first installment is Amazing! Chock full of twisted events that kept me guessing until the end. Embark on a journey of unexpected turns that will mesmerize you.

I am dying to get my grubbies on installment #2... Craving - Torment

She Not Easily Influenced

This is a entertaining hot read. A door opened just when another one closed. She just needs to find out who and why was this opportunity given to her. There are frightening thing that have happened and are happening. She has also met a sexy voice that belongs to an even sexier man that she needs to help free. This story end in a cliffhanger. Enjoy I did.

Absolutely Amazing!!

I had to choose 5 stars because I was completely engulfed as soon as I started. I read it in a couple days. If I could have sat non stop I would have, but my schedule didn't allow that. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy a good paranormal read. I felt as if I were there with them while reading it. I can't wait for the next book.

Excellent book

This was a fun book to read. I felt that Bobbie was realistic and down to earth as she traversed her way to unlocking her powers and facing Aurora's ancient powers. Saving her unbelievably, scorching hot vampire and taking revenge for her Grandmother's death could get her killed. Oh well, just another day.

Different

Good story but spoiled by how an American thinks the Scottish speak. The word coom for come is Yorkshire. Why not just write in plain English? It is really irritating.
