Despised by his tiger shifter pride as an abomination, Grey has ventured far from home, deep into the bowels of Hell in search of answers about the machinations of Archangel, the mortal hunter organisation who held his twin captive. With no knowledge of the realm, and little skill with the local languages, he quickly finds himself at a dead end—until he crosses paths with a beautiful hellcat female who rouses his darkest most dangerous instincts.
Lyra has been a fool, falling for the charms of a male whose only desire was to make a fast buck by selling her. Shackled and collared, her strength muted by magic, she awaits her time on the stage at a black-market auction, but before it can come, all hell breaks loose and she seizes a chance to escape—and runs straight into a majestic warrior who steals her breath away and tempts her like no other as he battles alone to free everyone.
When Lyra offers her services as a translator to repay Grey for saving her, will he be strong enough to resist the needs she awakens in him and spare himself the pain of her inevitable rejection when she discovers the truth about him? And when the powerful male in charge of the slave ring starts a bloody hunt for Lyra, can she escape another collar and find the courage to trust the tiger who is capturing her heart?

I've been looking forward to Grey's story since we first met him in Turned by a Tiger, he's Talon's twin brother but has always been looked down on by their pride (outside of his immediate family) because he is a rare white tiger and doesn't look like any of the others. You'd think that would make him unique and special but apart from his siblings Grey has always been looked down on by the others and made to feel lesser than them. Grey focused all of his energy on protecting his sister Maya but now that she is happily mated and has moved away he is a bit lost and feeling very out of place. He didn't want to stay with the pride but he didn't really have anywhere else to go so he decides to do some digging into Archangel and try to figure out what they were up when they captured Talon.
Grey's investigations have taken him deep into Hell and when he comes across a group of slavers his protective instincts roar to life and he fights to free the captives, including a beautiful hellcat called Lyra. Lyra has already had her heart broken once when the man she trusted sold her into slavery so she doesn't trust her instincts when it comes to men. She has a debt to pay for her freedom though so she offers to translate for Grey while he continues his investigation into Archangel. The pair quickly realise that they are fated mates but both of them have their own reasons to be wary and not to act on the bond. Lyra finds it hard to trust and Grey is convinced that when she sees his "deformity" she'll turn her back on him so believes it's safer to not get involved in the first place.
The attraction is definitely there even though they're both reluctant to act on it so this was definitely a slower paced romance where they spent time getting to know each other before admitting their growing feelings. I really enjoyed the pace of their romance, this series is all about fated mates so the couples know very quickly upon meeting that they are meant to be together, but Felicity Heaton has a knack of drawing that out and making them work for their happily ever afters. I always know I'm going to get a sweet but hot romance when I pick up one of her books and that's the reason I enjoy them so much.
When it comes to the ongoing story arc we're starting to get some really interesting information about Archangel now and I think things are starting to come together ready for a big showdown. It's going to be really interesting to see who gets their story next (I'm hoping for a certain dragon!) and I'm definitely looking forward to the downfall of Archangel after all the harm they've caused the supernatural community.
Oo finally we get Greys book and it's a hellish adventure all the way! He's always felt like an outsider as in the minds of his Pride he is deformed but now without his duty to protect his baby sister he needs something that will make him feel he has value. Well tracking down the infamous team of hunters known as Archangel seems the right place to start but alone in Hell and unable to speak their languages Grey really is starting to need some help. Lyra is a Hellcat and all too aware that males of her species will subjugate and collar her if they can. So why has she found herself captured by slavers and on her way to the bidding platform? Oh yes that little thing called betrayal but when freedom comes knocking at the auction block she's not about to say no. Trouble is the freedom comes courtesy of a rather tasty Tiger who just might be Lyra's fated mate! Yet Grey doesn't seem at all interested in claiming Lyra even if she wanted him to. Another easy flowing story in this series that has such a wide array of paranormal characters . I really like that the shadowy organisation called Archangel is still looming in the background in these stories as it adds great continuity . Plus this time there's another old foe returning which seemed to help tie up a loose thread. This does actually work as a standalone but why not start at the beginning and enjoy the journey? What you get is action and steamy romance but most of all exciting stories that stretch the readers imagination and always a happy ending. As this story ends there are all sorts of clues about what delicious mischief is yet to come. Feline shifters, Demons, Elves, Vampires are all here yes but it's the scary Dragons that really set the cat amongst the pigeons and I for one cannot wait for book 15. This voluntary take is of an advance copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
After three months of back-to-back cat shifter books, you’d think that I’d be sick of Felicity Heaton’s kitties, but au contraire! TREASURED BY A TIGER was a great way to wrap-up the sibling HEAs, although I’m not ruling out the possibility of a fourth with Byron. This story takes us back to Hell which just so happens to be my preferred setting in the ETERNAL MATES universe, and when you pair that with a feisty female lead and a humble hero, I couldn’t resist falling for this author’s seductive characters and writing all over again!
Lyra & Grey have a serendipitous meeting in the most unlikely of places: a slavers auction in the fiery pit. He’s unable to resist crashing the party to put an end to a distasteful practice, and she’s too injured to flee, so she must put her faith in a male even though it was one of ’em that’s to blame for her current predicament. Neither member of this duo experienced insta-love however, there was definitely insta-lust! It’s tough constantly finding new ways of introducing fated couples, and yet Heaton seemingly does it with ease.
I enjoyed this novel’s spin on the tiger protagonist; he’s a virgin with self-esteem problems due to being treated differently by his pride because of the colour of his fur. Add to that the heroine’s horrible history with male hellcats, and you’re left with a pretty big elephant in the room. Watching Lyra & Grey work on overcoming their hang-ups in order to embrace their destiny as Eternal Mates was quite remarkable, and they do it while facing off against everything that Hell throws at them.
Fuery’s tale is due out later this year if I’m not mistaken, and I’m amped for another mad elf installment, but Brink and to a lesser extent, Aryanna, make appearances towards the end, and now I’m really curious about their story. The black dragon seems to be closely tied to Archangel, and maybe even the reason why his species has been trapped in darkness for millennia. Sounds like we might be making major headway in this series’ main plot arc in the not so distant future. YAY!
TREASURED BY A TIGER concludes the feline trifecta however, the fun continues later on in 2017.
Another magnificent addition to the Eternal Mates series. Treasured by a Tiger was a brilliant way to wrap-up the the sibling tigers HEA’s.
We are taking back to HELL where answers and more questions arise on what Archangel is up to, we meet some old and new characters, and Grey finds more then he expected to on his adventure.
I wasn’t much of a fan of the Hellcat’s when they popped up in Bitten by a Hellcat, but I found myself liking Lyra, our feisty Hellcat lead. Grey, our humble hero I was already in love with him the my moment he was introduced in Turned by a Tiger.
The story flowed nicely. I love the wide verity of paranormal creatures and I really loved finding out more of what Archangel is up to. Their are still questions, but we get a little more. Besides Archangel the author also throws in an old foe and wraps that little loose thread up. I like the little hits and answers we get throughout the story. They keep things going, besides the sexy romance.
Lyra and Grey’s romance was wonderful. I just loved watching these two together. Lyra is afraid of males and that is expected after the betrayal, but she finds the strength to see past that and open up to Grey. Grey, OMG he was fabulous. He doesn’t want to hurt Lyra and fights his instincts along the way as well as he doesn’t feel worthy of any female, but WOW when he shows Lyra what he is, she does what any fated mate would do and tells him how AMAZING and WONDERFUL he is. I had tears in my eyes.
Treasured by a Tiger gives us action, steamy romance, and an exciting story. As this story ends another will come. The author has created a captivating world, where their is no shortage of excited and interesting characters, plus clues and mischief thrown in to keep you coming back for more.
Rated: 4.5 Stars
*Disclaimer:I received a complimentary copy provided by Felicity Heaton with the sole purpose of an honest review. All thoughts, comments and ratings are my own.
Three books in as many months! How does this woman do it? Either way you won't see me complaining. I was lucky enough to be sent an eARC of this book from Ms Heaton herself two weeks before the release date and OMG! I cannot tell you how excited I was!!! In return I was asked to review this book but all opinions here are my own. This is one action packed and seriously awesome addition to the Eternal Mates series and, following along with the usual connectedness between her books, we happily get to find out what has been going on with some of the major power players in hell and the mortal realm.
The plot of this book is almost similar to that of Bitten by a Hellcat, the 6th book in the Eternal Mates series, in that it explores the slavers once again and the repercussions of the title hellcat escaping said slavers. Throughout this book, as with the others, it is hinted that the hunter organisation Archangel is currently up to some iffy stuff which we will hopefully find out what it is later in the series. Earlier this year Ms Heaton spoke about potentially doing as she has done with the tiger shifter books only with the focus being dragon shifters. If this idea does pan out, which it hopefully will with the new dragons we have met in this book, I think this might be the key to showing us what exactly archangel has been doing behind the door that Grey's brother is so curious about.
Oh how I adored meeting another cat shifter. Especially considering this book elaborated on a lot of the general shifter traits that weren't super present in the other Eternal Mates books (I'll admit that this was in some of them but not all). I was extremely amused to find out that each different shifter species have the stereotypical traits one would assume they would have given their animal form when they are still human. The cat shifters are curious about everything and dragons LOOOOVVVVEEE their gold (and other possessions). Speaking of, and I don't want to come across as too excited and fangirlish but... DRAGONS!!!! DRAGONS DRAGONS DRAGONS!!!!! You might say I am a fan of people who can shape shift into gigantic winged lizards that can breath fire. I honestly think that this is the best of her three tiger shifter books and am super excited to see how the rest of the series will turn out with the various different potential books introduced in this one.
Grey: Let us meet out super buff and super noble male lead except this time he comes with a heaping pile of confidence issues that can only be put to rest by our darling Lyra, which is a really good thing because they're stupid issues that shouldn't have existed in the first place (Honestly I'm beginning to really hate tiger society given the many many horrible rules and customs and opinions they all have about just nearly everything).
Lyra: This girl really doesn't seem to like being told what to do. Fair enough given how we meet her but OH THE MISTRUST! Still, despite her hardships, she is kind and willing to help those who help her.
YAY! We finally have another book with a female hellcat as one of the major characters. FEMALE because it is becoming increasing clear, especially in this book, that male hellcats are just a bunch of horrible wankers. Thank goodness that Grey having some hellcat genes doesn't screw this relationship up for him. Quite a few of the Eternal Mates books have cat shifter leads and it is always exciting to see a new or different one (even though we have had a hellcat before). I am looking forward to seeing if we get books with other shifter species later on, i.e. a bear or lion or another dragon shifter.
With this story taking place in hell and with some pretty horrible stuff going on, the fact that these characters find each other and themselves makes me smile. It was fast-paced and romantic, and blew me away. It was awesome to have a story that explored the after effects of antics from earlier Eternal Mates books and I can't wait for the next instalment. In conclusion, if you are looking for a short, fun read or are simply looking to break into reading romance novels, I highly recommend reading any of Ms Heaton’s works (but mostly the Vampire Erotic Theatre or Eternal Mates series’ because they are my favourites).
Grey, looked down upon by his fellow pride members, has ventured far from home, seeking answers as to the captivity of his twin by Archangel, the hunter organization. He's in way over his head having no knowledge of the language and workings of the realm, but then he finds a gorgeous hellcat and is intrigued for numerous reasons.
Lyra could just kick herself, well, if she wasn't shacked and collared that is, for falling for the wrong guy. Ugh, he laid on the right amount of charm and boom...here she is, unable to use her magic, as she awaits her turn on the auction block. Thankfully, she gets a chance, and takes it, fleeing as fast as possible, only to collide with a sexy warrior, intent on freeing every captive.
She wants to, needs to, repay him, and so, knowing his struggling with the language, offers her services to translate for him. Grey accepts, and though he's attracted, and it's seems mutual, he's already resigned himself to her eventual rejection, believing once she knows his truth, she could never want to be with him.
As the two work together, their connection only grows stronger, as do their feelings. But Lyra may not be free for long as a powerful man is intent on having her for his own.
Can Grey keep Lyra safe and free? What about his quest for his brother? Can Lyra accept everything about Grey? Can she prove to him that she will never leave him? Will Grey ever see himself as more than what others what him to believe? Is there a HEA for Grey and Lyra?
One-click now and follow along as two people, dealing with their own demons, cross paths and realize they are stronger together.

REVIEW: TREASURED BY A TIGER is the fourteenth installment in Felicity Heaton’s contemporary, adult ETERNAL MATES paranormal/fantasy series. This is tiger shifter Grey, and hellcat Lyra’s story line. TREASURED BY A TIGER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Grey and Lyra) TREASURED BY A TIGER follows Grey as he searches for the truth, and a place to belong- his target is the realm of Hell- and the place known as Archangel where his twin brother Talon was imprisoned and tortured months ago. When a caravan of slave traders crosses Grey’s path, something or someone calls to his inner cat, and our hero sets out to destroy everything in his way. Enter Lyra, a hellcat destined for sexual slavery, and the woman with whom Grey will fall in love. What ensues is Grey’s overwhelming need to claim Lyra as his mate as the couple struggle to stay one step ahead of the organization hoping to reclaim Lyra as their own.
TREASURED BY A TIGER is a narrative where most of the story line is told through thoughts and the emotional struggle to let go of the past. Most of the conversation, and one on one interaction takes place towards the final third of the story. Grey is a protector by birth but when his sister found her mate Grey’s direction in life crumbled. Feeling alone and without purpose Grey goes in search of the group that has destroyed so many supernatural lives. In payment for her rescue Lyra offers her help to Grey but Grey battles his own demons including the truth about the who and what of his shifter species.
The relationship between Lyra and Grey is one of immediate attraction; they are drawn to one another as fated mates, something Grey is determined to push aside now and in the future. The $ex scenes are limited but intimate and provocative.
We are introduced to the Dragons of Hell including their leader Ren (whom we met before), and Brink who reveals some of the truth behind the dragon’s inability to leave the realm. Felicity brings together an eclectic mix of supernatural powers including the Fae, demons, vampires, shifters, witches and dragons.
TREASURED BY A TIGER is an action packed story of mystery and suspense; a romance tale of fated mates; a revealing story line that ends one arc of the series leading towards the start of a new arc. The premise is engaging and energetic; the characters are colorful and animated; the romance is destined by fate.
*Disclaimer: I received an eARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not influence my rating or the content of my review in any way.
It seems I have discovered yet another great series to get hooked on. This was my first Felicity Heaton book and let me tell you, I loved it.
There are some really cool things happening in this book, starting with the characters, which are really awesome, not just the main ones, but the secondary ones too, and with the various plots woven together. I loved the description of Hell, so different than what I've read before, and I love the fact that it truly looks like a place no one would willingly go to. I'm curious what other realms are there, besides Heaven, Hell and Earth. I also want to know more about the various creatures in this series, some of which we read about in this book.
I really liked reading about Grey and Lyra. Their stories are very different, yet I liked seeing how well matched they were. Grey is a very special tiger shifter, that unfortunately has been treated like crap by his pride just because he looked differently, which made me really angry. I loved how Lyra addressed that and showed him that he wasn't a freak, that he was beautiful because he was different. I was also sad for Grey, because, judging by what he tells Lyra about himself, you can see how lost he is, now that his sister found her mate, since he no longer needs to be the one in charge of her safety. You can really tell that that's basically why he went to Hell, why he's taking the risks he's taking, because he's lost and doesn't really know what to do with himself. I wanted to hug him most of the time, to be honest.
Lyra was a fantastic heroine. I love the fact that she's as much of a badass as Grey, and that she doesn't play the role of damsel in distress, when she really could and no one would blame her. I also loved the fact that once she learns about Grey's heritage, and understands that he doesn't know how to deal with some of his instincts, she doesn't hold that against him, but actually understands them and accepts the fact that he's not like other males that she's known and heard about, and actually tries to help him.
The major subplot, that I hope will be addressed in the next book, is one involving dragons. DRAGONS! *Allow me a moment to hyperventilate in an excited puppy manner* I really loved that, and I loved what Grey did at the end for one particular dragon, I thought that was really sweet and it showed how honorable he is, and how much his pride is losing for treating him as they did.
The book is really fast paced, I managed to read it pretty quickly, and I loved how the ending was neatly tied for Grey and Lyra, but also left the possibility of seeing them in the future open. I also loved the little hints towards the next book or books. I will admit I felt a little bit lost in the beginning, just because I wished I had more background information that is most definitely in previous books, but that didn't keep me from fully enjoying the story.
Based on this book, I can tell I'll be hooked on this series forever, because it reminded me of the older paranormal series, the ones that I so love and adore. So I'll definitely go back to the beginning and read this series in order, because I don't want to miss any details. So if you love paranormal romance, definitely check this series out if you haven't already.
Whenever I am in the mood for a good paranormal romance, Felicity Heaton is one of my go to authors. She is skilled at keeping her readers engaged from the beginning of the story until the moment it ends. She creates dynamic, lovable and relatable character and transports you to a world that is not only unique, but also intriguing and intense. Her attention to detail gives her stories a realistic feel which makes you forget you are reading about a mythical world and characters. Treasured by a Tiger, book #14 in The Eternal Mates series was no different.
What the Story is About.
The story takes us back to Hell, where we meet Lyra, a hellcat. Lyra came to hell looking for other females of her species, but instead found herself in captivity and on the verge of being placed on the auction blocks. However, her fate would change when Grey, a Tiger Shifter came to her rescue.
Grey went to Hell searching for answers regarding Archangel, the organisation responsible for hunting and capturing paranormal beings for nefarious reasons. He never counted on encountering an ongoing slave auction and coming to the rescue of a feisty and fiery hellcat. Will he get the answers he went searching for or will his decision to stage a rescue take him on a different path?
What I Loved
Characters Grey: As stated earlier, he is a tiger shifter. He is humble, loyal, protective, and hates injustice. These traits contributed to his journey to Hell. His mission was borne out of a desire to help his brother and fellow shifters. It is rare to come across a story where the male protagonist is a virgin, so I was pleasantly surprise when I discovered that Grey had no sexual experience. He struggles with issues of self-esteem, which was due to the treatment meted out to him by his pride because of the colour of his fur.
Lyra: Lyra proved to be strong, brave and determined. Her actions, during her time of captivity revealed her fighting spirit. She struggled with trust issues, especially where Grey was concerned. Even though he rescued her, she struggled with trusting him, which was understandable given what she had endured at the hand of slavers.
Romance I enjoyed the development of Grey and Lyra’s romance. Although they recognised they were each other, fated mates it took some time for them to warm up to each other. Watching them move pass their issues and embracing their destiny was heart-warming and filled with sizzle and heat. The way Grey treated Lyra from the moment he rescued her melted my heart. I loved how they worked together to fight their common enemy.
Action Like the previous books in the series, Treasured by a Tiger is loaded with non-stop action, which will keep you on the edge of your seat. The fight scenes are intense and well executed. There was never a dull moment
World Building The author did an impressive job with the world building, which came as no surprise. Her descriptive writing brought everything to life, which gave the story a realistic tone.
What I did not like I was hoping that Grey’s trip to hell would have provided me answers to questions I had about Archangels modus operandi. Instead, what I got was a morsel of their operations, leaving me with more questions than I had before.
Conclusion/Recommendation Treasured by a Tiger was fun, sexy and action packed. It is another great addition to the series. I look forward to diving in to the next book in the series.
This is the fourteenth book in the Eternal Mates series. I loved it!
Grey is a wonderful character. Having met him in Turned by a Tiger and then again in Tamed by a Tiger, I am glad that the author has chosen to tell his story, as I really liked him. As Talon's twin and Maya's brother, Grey has been plagued by his prides' attitude and disdain to his different colouring for most of his life. Rather than being the usual orange and black, Grey is a white tiger. Unfortunately, the constant disapproval of being different has left his self-esteem really low, and this story sees him struggling to adjust to freedom from his duties as a bodyguard/guardian of the pride now that Maya has a mate. I must admit that I wanted to shake Grey (or bash him over the head) for believing that he was an abomination, but since he's fictional, this would pose a problem. He volunteers to go into Hell to track down the secret behind the door hidden in Archangel's basement for his brother Talon. What he didn't expect was to meet a beguiling Hell Cat.
Lyra is also a wonderful character and I really liked her too. She is a Hell Cat who finds herself captured when she trusted the wrong man and is being sold at a shifter auction. When a white tiger appears at the slave auction and rescues her, she decides to thank him by helping him as a translator, then realises that he is her fated mate.
I absolutely love the Eternal Mates world. I started to read this book and I was quickly pulled in. It kept me riveted from beginning to end.
The story is told through the eyes of both Grey and Lyra, which gives the reader a chance to see their thoughts and feelings. The characters living within the Eternal Mates universe have a strength within them that helps them to survive. However, they also have flaws and fears, which makes them lifelike and relatable. The heat between the main characters blazes white hot on the pages, and left me breathless at times with their intensity. There are several twists and turns that I didn't see coming, and there is an amazing fight scene with a Fallen Angel that took my breath away. I said in my review of Tamed by a Tiger that there should have been more of the story arc in it. However, this book certainly brings the story arc back into focus a little more, and there's a revelation that gives the story more direction which, I think, was missing in the previous book. We are also introduced to a dragon called Brink, whom I felt sorry for. Will he play a role in the next book of the series? I do not know, though I hope so. If not, I have a feeling that his story may be the climax of the series as the story arc seems to be heading in that direction. When I reached the end of the book, I was slightly disappointed that it had concluded. Even though it ended in a HEA, I wanted to keep reading! However, the mystery that surrounds Archangel and what is hidden behind that door has me looking forward to finding out what happens next.
Felicity Heaton has written another fast paced, sexy paranormal romance that I thoroughly enjoyed! I love her fast paced writing style, which flows effortlessly from scene to scene. She is on top of my favourite author's list.
I do not recommend this book to younger readers due to the extremely HOT and explicit sexual scenes. However, I highly recommend this book (and series) if you love sexy paranormal romances full of vampires, elves, werewolves, cat shifters, succubi, incubi, angels, dragons, demons and demonesses. - Lynn Worton
An Action packed , sizzling romance with lots of suspense and action that will certainly have you hooked from the very beginning .
Book 14 - can be read as a standalone - but like all , we see mentions of previous characters and new characters that intrigue us .
Brink certainly has me invested - his past , his lost memories I'm intrigued to find out more about him ! I loved the way the author gave us such vivid imagery of this dragon . His whole statue , and the secrets only leaving me wanting to know more .
Lyra and Grey - their chemistry and attraction was filled with tension . A slow build romance that soon plummeted to their instincts . Sexy, loving and once again the author such vivid descriptions will have you swooning for Grey !!
Lots of action, and suspense within the pages . Always fast paced and well detailed .
Am engaging story line that slowly unfolds at each page turn .
Admittedly, I haven't real all of them yet, but I LOVED this book.
A lot of the story was told from Grey's perspective, which gave the book a unique feel to it. He was tortured, respectable, loyal and uncertain of himself at times while at the same time being a totally hot alpha who would stop at nothing to protect Lyra.
Lyra was tough, no doubt, but I liked how she relied oh Grey too. Just like in real life; women are strong, sure, but we all lean on our guys too.
Jam-packed with action and very descriptive battle scenes, and very descriptive love scenes, this book is yet another reason why I love Felicity's writing. I can't wait for the next book!!!!
(I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)
Treasured by a Tiger is the 14th novel of the Eternal Mates Paranormal Romance Series by Felicity Heaton. This is Greay and Lyra's story. And I was excited for because I've been waiting to hear Gray's story since I met him. Even though I haven't read all the books yet (I'm still trying to catch up on the older ones) this is by far my favorite book, I love both of these characters. Although they aren't technically human their human qualities stand out and make me love them so much. Both are strong yet insecure and they both help the other overcome their insecurities and become even stronger. With amazing action and romance to go along with their story i just couldn't put this book down and am anxiously waiting for the next.
I took to grey in the other books based around his family. Grey has gone walkabout to try to find more about the group who imprisoned his brother. Grey has good morals which showed in the story - he tried to stay away from Lyra.
Lyra is in a predicament until Grey shows up and saves her from a destiny she did not want. She is a feisty one, well she is a hellcat!
They journey through hell trying to reach a portal and come across a few issues that push them together - not that they had any choice as they are destined mates.
Loved that this book was set in hell, seems a while since we've been there. Hoping next book features a certain dragon.
I do love this series, the books are easy to read and you can read this book without reading the others BUT I like reading in order so I get all the references/cameos to the previous characters.
I was waiting for Grey's book since the tigers appeared on my radar in this series. As always, you can read this book as a stand alone but it does touch previous topics in the series more so is better if you've read at least some of the other books.
Grey is trying to figure out what to do his life now that his little sister is with her mate and his twin brother has found his place as well. Grey was always a protector and now, there's noone to protec, so he goes to Hell (literally) to figure out what is Archangel (the human organization that protects humans from the underworld) doing and planning. And while he's trying to figure out how to stay alive in Hell, he encounters a group of slave traders and he sets the people free.
Lyra has spent her life in the mortal world, away from her kind and the vicious males but her loneliness mades her venture into Hell to find others and ends up as a slave, collared and unable to use her magic until a power warrior helps her scape. As a way of paying him for saving her life, Lyra offers to translate for Grey.
This book was the perfect culmination for the tigers part of the story in this saga. Grey is such loveable character. He's not just strong, he needs to protect others and he would do anything for his family. When he meets Lyra that need to protect her is so strong he's willing to hurt himself if that means she will be safe. I loved seeing him struggle with his insticts. Lyra has been hurt before and betrayed by her own kind so trusting isn't easy for her but Felicity Heaton turns their journey through Hell into the perfect way to grow and overcome those fears that won't let Lyra move forward.
These two really were made for each other. Damaged and betrayed by their people and strong and a bit overprotective. Their chemmestry is there from the start but the building is slow. True to their nature and at points so tender, because they constantly doubt their insticts. In their journey through Hell they aren't just facing the enemy that's right behind them, they fight their own demons and insecurities while getting to know the other and that aspect alone made for a very compeling story.
As far as the saga goes, Treasure by a Tiger picks up from Talon's story and the Archangel plan so it adds a lot more to the general plot and for that I was really excited.
Treasured by a Tiger pull you in from the start and captivates you with it's dimentional characters. The author balances the pace and different moods perfectly and I thoroughly enjoyed reading how Grey and Lyra fell in love.
Where do you go when you're down and out...Hell of course!
Grey sets off on an errand in Hell for Talon hoping to give Talon some closure on the "door" at Archangel. It is also an excuse for Grey to get away from all the happy mates when he is still so utterly lonely; even more so now that Maya has found a mate and his services of protection for her are no longer need.
There's always a party going on in Hell..
Grey is about his business when he stumbles upon a slave auction. Pure outrage and anger have him charging into the auction and taking out the slavers and setting the slaves free. One of those slaves he is immediately drawn to and has to help her. No surprise that this particular slave turns out to be his eternal mate. His beautiful mate is a hellcat who rouses his darkest and most dangerous instincts and he is in constant battle with himself to keep the beast at bay.
To say Lyra has bad luck with men is an understatement...
Lyra admittedly has fallen for a male's lies before but this time it has left her in shackles and chains and on an auction block. If that doesn't cause a few trust issues---nothing will! So when Grey heroically comes charging in to save her, she doesn't want his help! Reluctantly she eventually allows Gray to help her on her terms but winds up helping him.
When you see a fallen angel in Hell, it's definitely time to leave...
The two continue their adventure in Hell eventually running into Brink and the Dragons. But worse, the fallen angel that has been looking for Lyra finds her before she and Grey can get to the portal. Brink helps the pair out of a tight spot with the fallen angel and earns Grey's allegiance to help him regain his memories of Aryanna (sounds like an interesting story *hint, hint*). Grey and Lyra find their way out of Hell and back to Lyra's home in Norway where they mate and live happily ever after...until the next episode!
I have to say that this story was probably the one I was seriously looking forward to after first meeting the tiger siblings (Talon - book 12 and Maya - book 13) because I always thought that Grey's story would be the most intriguing due to his completely different physical appearance and personality. I think the heroine of this book, Lyra, is classy, interesting, sassy, independent and exactly like more writers should make female characters...enough of this stand on the sidelines crying awaiting a man to come and save us! Lets have women who through themselves into the fight with the men and get some blood pumping in a battle!
I love the connection between these two characters and how they face different obstacles together throughout the book after a chance meeting when a protective nature takes over to save numerous strangers.
I was delighted to read more about Archangel and their plans but I did feel as though the author was giving you tipbits of information without answering any previous questions you had and then created even more questions. I do hope that all of the characters that we have meet get together in a book later on in the series to create a perfect and fantastic ending to the series that fits their personalities and connections to each other while letting this amazing series finish on a high!
I normally say that you dont need to read the previous books in this series to read one of the books but i would definately recommend reading the previous two books AT LEAST if you want to read this book so that you can follow the storyline easier and arent left with more questions than you need to be!
Get reading ladies and gents, this book shall not be put down!
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The last three books in Felicity Heaton’s Eternal Mates series have centered on the life and love of tiger shifter siblings Talon, Maya, and Grey. Treasured by a Tiger is Grey’s story, the tiger who has felt like the pride misfit his entire life. In his hellish quest for answers, Grey rescues Lyra an enslaved hellcat slated to be sold on the black market. Together the pair must escape Lyra’s captors and navigate their newfound romance all the while attempting to uncover the machinations of the malevolent, ever-present militaristic organization Archangel.
I’ve been reading Felicity Heaton’s Eternal Mates series since book #11, so while I’m not overly familiar with all inner workings of the Eternal Mates-iverse, I’ve come to rely on a few things where this series is concerned. First, most of the books I’ve read follow a similar arc where mates are fated for one another, but, through a series of events, must fight to unify. Often, the number one culprit is simple miscommunication. Next, Heaton is a premier writer of paranormal romance with emphasis on the romance. Heaton writes romance that’s sensual and expressive without becoming overly formulaic. Finally, I’ve never regretted reading a Heaton novel. Her books are reliably well-written and always entertaining. While new ground isn’t necessarily a priority with this series, the varied landscape and characters add new layers with each installment.
Eternal Mates is always a good time. Treasured by a Tiger is no exception.
Treasured by a Tiger takes place in Hell, and not the nice part where the Elves live either. Talon keeps dreaming of a door, and because Grey loves him, he goes to find out what he can. As he says, he can't have curiosity killing that cat. And that, in essence, is Grey's character through and through. He loves his family, and will do all that he can to protect them - even if it means travelling into hell. Lyra is a hellcat who usually lives in Norway. She trusted the wrong cat, and ended up a slave, shackled by a fallen angel. When these two meet, urges rise up, but Grey is determined not to act upon them, and scare Lyra even more.
This was a brilliant addition to the story, and I love how we are getting closer to Archangel's final game plan with every one. Brink though, oh my goodness, I can't wait for his story!!! My lips are sealed on that one though, no spoilers from me!
As will all Felicity Heaton books, there were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow. Instead, I was swept into a world that was dark and horrible, and yet the light of hope and love shone through. Yes, that sounds sappy. No, the book isn't. Trust me on that one!
I thoroughly adored this book, and hope to see more of Grey in the future. PS. can I just add that I LOVE white tigers! So yey for Grey! 😊
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *
I loved Grey and Lyra's story! The fourteenth in the Eternal Mates series and the third in a tiger novella trifecta, this is an engaging and entertaining read. After feeling a little lukewarm towards book thirteen, I wasn't sure where this book would take us but Grey's trip to Hell definitely pulled me in right from the first. The switch of scenery from the mortal realm to this dark otherworld full of a variety of species is most welcome and I was thrilled when a certain dragon appeared - I harbour hope that we will meet him again soon (Felicity does her tortured heroes so well).
Grey is a bit of a lost soul and Lyra a fierce self-possessed woman, I think she might be one of my favourite of Felicity Heaton's heroines. Lyra has a real sense of self that I am always pleased to encounter in a romance novel, she's strong and capable, more than a match for a big emotionally lost tiger. You know with this series that there will be an instant connection but it's discovered and then explored at a convincing pace. Felicity easily gets you invested in the characters so you're cheering for them when they finally truly connect.
The romance between Grey and Lyra is wonderful (and steamy), the tale engrossing and the action just leaps off the page. You can absolutely read this as a standalone but you'll enjoy it even more if you're familiar with the series. More is revealed regarding the overall Archangel arc which will please fans of the series but there is plenty of romance and action to enjoy for people finding the series for the first time.
This is book 14 of the Eternal Mates series but is this series getting stale at all? No way! It's still fresh and exciting and leaves you eagerly awaiting more.
This is the third in three sibling tiger novellas in this series. I loved the previous ones but if I had to pick a favourite, it would be this.
This follows Grey and Lyra. Grey is feeling a bit lost after his sister, who his spent his life protecting, has left to be with her new mate. And also he is different from the other tigers in his pride so he has always felt like an outcast. He volunteers to head into the bowels of hell to find information about the archangel organisation for his brother. He soon learns that he's in over his head though and doesn't really know where to go next. He comes upon a slave sale and manages to help free Lyra, a fiery hellcat. Lyra figures she owes him so offers to help. Of course there's also the added bonus of their mutual instant attraction.
Even though this is novella length, there's plenty of action and romance and it certainly doesn't feel lacking in any way. Lyra and Grey were both strong, multi-faceted characters and I enjoyed reading their journey. The plot had plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your feet and have hints of future books in the series. There were also moments of humour and emotion and swoony romance too.
This is a book in a series but I see no reason it couldn't be read as a stand alone title but, if you enjoy this, I can pretty much guarantee you'll love the rest too.
This was a great read and I enjoyed every minute. I'd definitely recommend and I can't wait for the next book in this excellent series.
I think at this point Lyra and Grey are officially my new favourite pairing in the Eternal Mates series. I really enjoyed the story from start to finish. We met Grey briefly in the previous books and I admit I was so excited to find out more about the brother of Talon and Maya, and I certainly wasn’t disappointed by this book.
Grey is strong but in a way he’s also broken because his pride don’t like the fact he is different so he heads to Hell in search of answers for his brother. Whilst on his search he comes across a slave camp and he is over taken by the need to rescue the slaves within the camp and here he comes across Lyra.
Lyra might be a slave and she might be collared but at the heart of it she is still a Hellcat. Hating the fact she has ended up captured when she hears an almighty roar she knows she needs to get out. Both characters in a way are powerful, but they have their flaws and issues but when they come together they make a fantastic pair.
I honestly couldn’t stop reading this book as we see characters old and new and mentions and even appearances from elves, dragons and such. There were definitely what I hope is hints within the story of where Felicity Heaton is going to go next with these books, with characters we met who I hope we get to hear the stories of! An absolutely solid 5 stars!
Grey's story! After meeting him in Talon and Maya's books, it was a treat to see what made this tiger tick. Especially knowing he had a little something extra mixed into his bloodline. A little something extra that put his hellcat lady friend on edge.
But before we got to that point, Grey decided to barrel into Hell with little more than a desire to protect his brother from his curiosity. He has the barest outline of a plan and no way to converse with the locals. Which makes his plan to check out what Archangel is doing there a wee bit difficult. That doesn't stop him, though. He heads out and starts following the few clues he has.
And when he stumbles over a group of slavers getting ready to sell their victims to the highest bidder, he loses it as only a protective tiger can. Freeing Lyra and getting out of Dodge is only the beginning of their issues. She's wary of everyone after her captivity and she has a hard time trusting. Understandably.
Introducing another layer of mystery to the already sprawling (in a GOOD way) crisscrossing arcs, Grey might have found his special someone, but there's still PLENTY more to be discovered in Hell and beyond.
Be still my heart....... Wow Grey explodes off the pages in this Book 14 of The Eternal Mates Series. One of the key characters in Tamed By A Tiger Book 13 to this series Grey caught my eye for his faithfulness in protecting his sister. Glimpses of him showed a man who was honorable, kind, faithful and broken. In this book these character traits are expanded upon drawing the reader into this lonely tiger's life after his sister 's story in the last book. I love a man with honor and this one scores a 10 out of 10. The author's portrayal of his hate for anyone being held against their will and his deep understanding of Lyra's trauma will endure him to the reader.
Lyra is on the other hand is hurt by betrayals and unable to trust men. When Grey comes to her aid she is scared from her captivity and unable to trust or love. This book, takes the reader on a merry chase of her emotions were she desperately wants to trust Grey but she is too broken.
These two main characters are perfect for each other in every way and I found the story a delightful read. So, for this reason I give it 5 STARS.
Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.
Tiger shifter Grey is in hell. He has travelled there to find the place the hunters from Archangel are using. He has been relieved of protecting his sister now she has a mate, and he will not go back to the pack. So that leaves him with nothing better to do than satisfy his curiosity. Could be deadly for a cat. Hellcat shifter Lyra was tricked by a male who sold her into slavery. The magical collar and shackles they have on her, stop her from shifting and tearing them all to pieces. This story is a real journey through hell for our protagonists. The incredible battles that will be fought are not always with the many enemies, sometimes they are with their own feelings. As is usual for this author the fight scenes are so realistic you want to hide under your duvet to stay safe and the sex scenes will have your kindle steaming up. An absolutely fantastic story from the series that could easily be read on it's own, but if you are like me you will make sure you read as many of them as you can. I'm hoping the next one will have a certain black dragon as the hero. I can't wait to read more.
Treasured by a Tiger (Eternal Mates, #14) by Felicity Heaton. A paranormal romance that can stand alone or be read as part of the series. Tiger shifter Grey travels to the Hell Realm to search for information on Archangel, the diabolical organization that held his twin Talon captive. While there, Grey discovers a beautiful, sleek hellcat held in captivity by a slave ring. Amid the ensuing chaos they form a tentative bond. Grey has always been a warrior, charged with the protection of his sister Maya until she mates (Tamed by a Tiger). Since then, Grey finds himself feeling lost. The story expertly conveys his internal struggle for acceptance of what he considers himself to be. An abomination. And can Lyra (purrrfect name for a hellcat) learn to trust another male after her ordeal at the hands of another? Again, uniquely riveting scenes followed by genuine emotion as these two characters make their literal and figurative journey through Hell together. If you've read and enjoyed any of this series, I recommend this book as well as The Guardians of Hades Series.
Felicity Heaton’s Eternal Mates Series is out with another great read. Treasured by a Tiger - Grey’s story of course we’ve been patiently waiting for. Ms Heaton never fails to deliver a mix of detail, danger, passion and love. Making the characters come to life for us.
When you think you’re a misfit and don’t belong you’re always finding a way to make people see you differently. When you’re the “fairer sex” rare(ish) and at an auction pulls in a big price, you find yourself less trusting of the male species.
Two not so trusting souls spark a lust connection that has both their bodies singing, At the same time ignoring the possibility that it could be more than just lust.
Book 14 - such a great part of a great series, its can be read as a stand alone if you must. (smiles) But its so well worth it to read the series. With cameo’s from previous characters just a reminding why we loved the series, always makes for a fun read. (I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review) Enjoy
Another good book in the Eternal Mates series. This was the 3rd and final book in a Boxset trilogy of Tiger Shifter books in the series. Although other characters from the Eternal Mates series appeared in the first book in the Trilogy, these books were very much a mini series on their own and could be read independently from the rest of the series.
I really enjoyed these books, and totally love this series. There is something for everyone in them, and Felicity continues to add to the ongoing story arc, so even though it’s book 14, it doesn’t feel like it.
What I like about the characters that Felicity writes, is there are often personal issues that characters have to deal with and overcome, and you can really relate to how some of those characters are feeling and the emotions that they have had to deal with.
Anyone wanting to read these books, I can thorough recommend them. I have binge read 11 books in the series so far this year.
Thanks again Felicity Heaton for writing fantastic books in a brilliant series.
Holly freakin gods what a book! Hell it is a freaking good series. I have been hooked since book one and this is book 13. And I am so ready for the next. They are so greatly written and thought trough. They just flow so well.
This is Grey's story. Talons twin brother and how he met his mate Lyria. He is on a quest for talon when something he sees ticks him off and he attacks the slavers and ends up saving a hellcat. That he is drawn to. But he does not know if she will accept him as he has a secret that could have her running from him. She is determined to stay with him even though something is after her he will not stop protecting her. Let’s just hope he can.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too
