Book 2 Five years after a messy breakup, entertainment columnist, Kate Preston, is forced to interview ex-boyfriend Gage Stevens, now a world famous rock star. With her job on the line, she has no choice but to follow through with the interview. Gage Stevens is living the dream. After becoming an over-night rock sensation, the bad boy rock star has spent the last few years recording music, touring the world, and living the kind of lifestyle most guys only dream about. And then Kate Preston steps back into his life. The only woman he ever loved. The one woman who broke his heart. When they meet face to face, sparks fly, and the room is charged with electric, undeniable heat. A mixture of pain and pleasure, where history means something and instant attraction is remembered and perhaps rekindled. Can Gage look beyond the past and ever see Kate as anything but a cold heartbreaker who abandoned him? Will Kate be able to get past her own insecurities to take a chance on the rock superstar? Warning : This story contains graphic sex scenes and language. For readers 18 and older. 46k words.
Seriously? Book # 2 had double the pages of book # 1 because the little snippet of story was jammed in between the redundant and repetitious sex scenes. So disappointing!
It’s more of the same as book 1, but I won’t complain. The desire is still burning, scorching, though this time, worlds of love are offered. Even their actions prove their feelings for each other.
But, for a mysterious reason, they can’t be together. I mean, I get where they’re coming from, but it seems a bit stupid. There are so many ways for them to make it work, and yet they’re always of the verge of breaking up.
I spot a few editing problems that I didn’t see in the first book–unnecessary repetitions, grammar problems…
This isn’t the duet of the century, but if you like your romance with little story and lots of steam, you can start here.
Quickie
- Series: Rocked #2 (completes the duet) - Hashtags: #rockstar romance #erotic romance #second chance #playboy - Triggers: N/A - Main couple: Kate Preston & Gage Stevens - Hotness: 5/5 - Romance: 3/5 (more passion than romance) - + she’s plus-size? great! - – I didn’t get why they couldn’t be together in the first place…
What to say about this book. It was drawn out. The FMC was quite annoying and her emotions were all over the place. The MMC was more invested in their relationship than she was. She kept leaving him. The book was 90% spice and 10% plot it seemed. It got to be so much, that I wound up skipping over them.
I wanted to DNF this book several times, but I hate doing that, so I kept going. There was finally a HEA, but I don't think the FMC deserved to be with him.

This story started from the cliffhanger from book one and while this book had more info on Gage and Kate it was not enough. There was plenty of sex, in fact sex was pages and pages but very little story. I really can’t recommend either book.
