Artist Mackenzie Lane is almost thirty and still single, which, according to her neighbors, pretty much makes her the Spinster of Sweetbriar Cove. She's sworn off terrible fix-ups, and is looking forward to her solo future of woolly mumus and cats. (Lots of cats). But a chance Halloween rendezvous awakens her reckless spirit, and makes her wonder if love might be in the cards, after all...
Jake Sullivan is back in town for the first time in years, recovering from a career-ending sports injury. He's dazzled by the mysterious woman he meets by chance - and even more intrigued when he discovers it's his high-school friend Mackenzie.
Ten years ago, Jake was the first (and only) guy to put a dent in Mackenzie's invincible heart. She's determined not to make the same mistake again, but when the pair are forced to team up to plan the annual Starbright Festival, old sparks fly - and new passion runs riot.
Soon, Mackenzie and Jake are risking it all. But will their connection last longer than the first snowfall? And can these old friends start a new chapter for love?
I go on first dates… And maybe if I didn’t dress like I’m upholstery, I would go on second dates, too.
Dad got me one of those step-counters for Christmas a couple of years ago. He thought we could do it together, you know. Bonding… My count was so low, he called me up after the first week to check I turned the thing on.
Try googling sometime. In fact, how are you not looking up your dates? It’s literally the first thing I do. To check they don’t have a criminal record, or post on Nickelback fan sites… You know, due dating diligence.
My email is nothing but weight loss spam and takeout coupons right now. Because I’m such a loyal customer. I’ve started inventing company when the delivery guys arrive. You know, yelling ‘food’s here’ into my empty apartment so they don’t think all three boxes of pad Thai are mine.
“Everyone knows he dumped me,” she said, checking around to see if the gossips were still out in force. “I may as well have ‘spinster’ written on my forehead.”
My Review:
Anyone who has ever lived in a small town is painfully aware that the populous thrives on gossip and meddling, and Melody Grace has perfectly cast Sweetbriar Cove with these attributes. Although this thriving small town appears to be far more fun-loving than most. I always enjoy Ms. Grace’s clever humor, amusing banter, sweet camaraderie between friends, sexy and sweet romances, and endearingly flawed characters. Mackenzie had a decade-long secret crush on her friend Jake since first meeting him in high school. After Jake moved away she had endured hair-raising fix-ups but no one had yet made her heart soar, other than in horror. Jake had enjoyed a successful football career and the social life of a celebrity, but he was currently struggling and while suffering through a painful rehab of his knee he was also grappling with an identity crisis - if he didn’t fully recover and he wasn’t an all-star football player, who was he? His moods and rationalizations flipped like a teenaged girl and I wanted to embed my foot somewhere on or in his anatomy. Thankfully, he pulled his head from that same area of anatomy just in time to provide that all-important HEA, but he really had me worried…
The holiday season is my favourite time of year and I can’t think of anywhere better to spend it than Sweetbriar Cove, I’m Yours is book 4 in the Sweetbriar Cove Series but it can be read as a standalone although I’m sure you will want to get acquainted with the other residents as Melody Grace has a way with words and the characters will soon feel like family and friends. Jake Nash left Sweetbriar Cove 10 years ago and when he left he took a piece of Mackenzie Lane’s heart and it’s a piece she has never got back, for Jake they were just high school friends but it was love for Mackenzie so what happens when they meet and are forced to team up and plan the annual Starbright Festival, will old sparks be ignited and will be sparks fly between this couple. Friends to lovers, second chance romance, characters with sizzling chemistry, this book has it all and once I started reading there was no putting down, I needed to know if Jake and Mackenzie got the HEA they deserved or was Jake still going to be in denial of his feelings all these years later. Great addition to a great series, if you love second chance romance and the holiday season this book is a must read.
I’m yours is a sweet romance about two people who were best friends in high school the go their separate ways and see each other after 10 years only to discover they love each other and may have all those years. Mackenzie is a lovable character who, if you’ve read the other books in the series, you know as the spinster of Sweetbriar. We all want her to find her one true love and she may find it in Jake!
“Kissing her was as easy as breathing, and necessary as air.”
“He kissed her. It was just a brief brush of his lips against hers, swift, and light, but it felt like finding gravity: drawn by some powers beyond his control.”
“He knew her, all of her, and when he claimed her mouth, kissing hard and aching, she couldn’t hold anything back.”
A sweet, swoon worthy romance that will capture your heart and leave you with all the feels.
I’m Yours is the fourth book in the Sweetbriar Series and follows the story of Jake and Mackenzie. Mackenzie and Jake have been best friends for the longest time, but somewhere along the way, Mackenzie’s feelings changed. She wanted more from Jake, but sadly Jake never felt the same way…Now ten years later Jake returns home and once again turns Mackenzie’s world upside down. The sparks between the two of them are undeniable. Only time will tell if Mackenzie will once again take a leap and go after the one thing she’s always wanted…Jake.
I’m Yours is a wonderful addition to the Sweetbriar Series. I’m usually not a huge fan of the slow burn, but boy did Melody Grace knock it out of the park with this. She made my heart ache in the best possible way. The chemistry and passion between Mackenzie and Jake was intense and had me devouring the pages to see what would happen with them next. I totally adored Mackenzie. She was unique, creative and had a huge heart. She was protective with herself and her heart. And Jake….He was so adorable and had some wonderful swoon-worthy moments. But let me tell you, there were quite a few moments where he had me raging!! I wanted to reach through my kindle and slap some sense into him. I was desperate for him to open his eyes to the amazing woman that would do anything to be his…
I’m Yours is a wonderful friends to lovers romance. I loved the slow burn, the delicious angst and the unrequited love. These characters had me hooked and left me begging for more. I just couldn’t get enough. Melody Grace once again delivers a heartfelt and unforgettable romance.

Mackenzie Lane and Jake Sullivan were once best friends, but they haven't seen each other in years. But now with Jake being back in Sweetbriar Cove recovering from an injury he suffered while playing NFL, Mackenzie finds herself falling for the man she's always crushed on. Will Jake stay in Sweetbriar, so the pair can have a shot at happy ever after; or will he decide to move on to bigger and better things when he learns something he doesn't want to hear?
This is the first book I've read by Ms. Grace, and it's a book that does not disappoint. It has wonderful main characters that have found their way back to each other after years of being apart; and compelling dialogue, because of the playful banter between the main characters as they settle into becoming friends again and then so much more. The way this story started had me liking the heroine immediately, as she's determined to have fun in the costume she's wearing. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine came face-to-face for the first time in this story that I absolutely loved since the hero is captivated by the heroine. Will he realize who she is?
As for the dialogue, it was riveting and made this story a total page turner, as the hero is determined to get back out on the field, even though it's palpable his injury is one serious enough that it could put an end his career. Will he be able to continue his career or will he have to retire? Moreover, both the main characters were fantastic and I loved every moment they conversed. Really, they had me smiling at their teasing banter and almost in tears when things went awry between them.
Both the main characters entertained me from start to finish with their back stories and their intense chemistry that had me wondering when the romance would finally change from platonic to physical intimacy. However, in saying that, I could understand why the hero was determined to keep things platonic for as long as he did since he wasn't planning to stay in Sweetbriar and he didn't want to hurt the heroine after finally finding their way back to each other. Moreover, I liked the hero's confidence; his determination to get back to the game he loves; and how willing he was to help the heroine when it came to her organizing the town's annual Starbright Festival. Will they be able to make it as good as previous years?
While the heroine, she's a small-town woman that has worked hard to get to where she is with her art, which seems very popular among the townspeople and sounds very fascinating by all that she makes. I also liked her confidence in going after what she wants and what she wants is Jake. Certainly, it's a good thing that she doesn't give up on Jake, even though it seems he's doing everything he can to resist her. I also liked how open and honest she was and that she wasn't afraid to speak her mind when it came to the moment things went awry with Jake. No way was he going to make her be the one that made them go their separate ways.
Overall, Ms. Grace has delivered an exceptional read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense; the romance passionate and shows how friendship can blossom into so much more, if they're willing to take a chance; and the ending that had me loving Jake more than I already did, because of what he does for the heroine to make her Starbright Festival even better by getting the one thing she wanted above all else. I also liked his words towards her at the end, as it finally shows he's ready to for a future with her. I would recommend I'm Yours by Melody Grace, if you enjoy the friends to lovers trope or books by authors Melanie Shawn, Melissa Foster, Erin Nicholas and Kylie Gilmore.
Mackenzie has been one of my favorite characters in this series so far. She is a lifetime resident of Sweetbriar Cove, a diehard romantic despite her perpetual single status, and a friend to anyone who needs it. Seeing her friends pairing off one by one has just been intensifying her loneliness lately though, and by the time Halloween rolls around she decides to be a little adventurous. She never expects to see her former best friend and crush Jake sitting in the gazebo when she wanders off seeking some solitude, and she isn't sure if she should be hurt or grateful when he doesn't recognize her in her sexy costume.
Jake is back in Sweetbriar Cove under protest but everything feels just as familiar as the day he left for college - with the notable exception of the temptress who wanders into the gazebo. He doesn't know who she is, but one kiss later she is seared into his memory and his fantasies. To his surprise, his worry over his injured knee and the future of his NFL career disappears for a minute and all is right in the world. When he runs into Mac a few days later, he is excited to see his old friend and then confused when the pieces click into place and he realizes she is the woman from Halloween night.
All through high school, Mac had a crush on Jake but by the time she worked up the nerve to tell him how she felt, she overheard a conversation that convinced her to keep quiet and fade into the background. Her feelings never really went away though and now that Jake is back, she is going to have a hard time ignoring the old attraction. Add in the obvious chemistry between them now and she is in for an uphill battle to convince her heart not to try to give itself to him all over again.
Jake is hyper-focused on getting back out on the field and rehabbing his injury as soon as possible, but Mac provides a distraction he just can't ignore. The UST builds and builds until they finally give into it, but the future remains a question mark. Mac has no intention of leaving Sweetbriar Cove, and Jake is certain his life is still centered in Miami and in the spotlight. Doubts about his ability to pick up where he left off with his team are creeping into his mind despite his best efforts, and things will get bumpy before it is all over!
I have come to love this little Cape Cod town from its people to its familiar (albeit fictional) setting not too far from home. This installment features the Cape in the fall and winter, and the Starbright Festival that Mac and Jake get roped into planning and running is quintessential small town New England. These two characters were a whole lot of fun to read about as well as they fell back into an easy friendship with a heaping dose of sexual attraction added in. Mac is laid back and funny but also feels deeply and tries to protect her tender heart from the one man with the power to stomp all over it again. Jake is genuinely a good guy who does some stupid things out of fear of losing everything he has worked to build over the last 10 years thanks to one really bad accident on the field but he proves he can grovel well too. Familiar faces from the other books in the series are definitely a part of I'm Yours since Mac's friends are tightly woven into her life but this book can absolutely be read as a standalone. And based on the first chapter of the next book in the series No Ordinary Love that is included at the end of this story, it looks like it will be a winner too!
Mackenzie has been in love with Jake since she was sixteen. Best friends through high school her secret love never knew the light of day for she was Jake's best friend... only his best friend in the world. He went off to college and then the professional football career, she went to college and returned home to build up her work and her funds to open her own artist shop where she creates magic with her pottery talents. Mac often calls herself in sort of fun the Spinster of Sweetbriar Cove for she's famous for going on first dates, no more. It's hard when she's subconsciously comparing every man with her one love and they all fall far short of Jake. Now the unexpected has happened and Jake has returned to Sweetbriar Cove. No one knows if it's just a temporary move as he recovers from an almost career ending injury or if he's really ready to hang up the cleats. Mac only knows that he's back, and she has this one shot at the most important part of her dream to come true, for Jake to really see her as the woman who loves him and loves her right back. It's going to take a bit of time but then miracles can always happen, especially with the holidays approaching, right?
Jake is so oblivious to just about anything but his determination to beat this knee injury and get back on the playing field. After all, it's all he's known professionally for a decade and his dream long before that. He's enjoying being with Mac again, he did miss his best friend but it's going to take some serious effort on Mac's part, and perhaps a few nudges from some guy friends, before Jake even begins to have a clue - and even then he's still running scared.
I have loved Mackenzie since the first story, she's witty, funny, and a super friend. She hides behind a mask at times, one that she rarely lets anyone see behind. But friends know, and Jake had better start appreciating their friend. There were some laugh out loud moments, definitely steamy ones as well yet there were also heartbreaking moments, those moments when my heart went "he did what!". Jake and Mackenzie are a likable, believable couple and watching their journey was full of emotions. We'll also get up dated on the lives of the other couples we've met so far, along with those secondary characters that make this series so charming and relatable. I'd definitely recommend I'm Yours and the entire series to any Contemporary Romance reader who loves a solid plot, lovable characters, relatable situations and that special unique feeling that can only come from a small town.
*Book Received in Exchange for Honest Opinion/Review*
I feel a deep remorse towards this book and series. I keep picking each of these up and hope for something different but I am left feeling meh. So let me go back to the beginning, I am talking 2013! This is the year when I first stumbled upon Melody Grace, and where romance books (in my humble opinion) were finally catching their break into mainstream. Now this started with her Beachwood Bay series which was sweet, endearing, and full of small town charm. Sounds familiar doesn't it?
My biggest problem with the Sweetbriar Cove series is that its been 4 years now of reading Melody Grace's books...and she hasn't grown as an author. She has become stagnant in my mind. I want characters who are going to give me a book hangover and break my heart. Mac and Jake don't do that, and while these quick, HEA romances were fine years ago, I want to see growth and development and I am not getting that.
I read half of the book in a day and I woke up the next morning and couldn't even recall Mac or Jake's names. This to me was a bad sign because that means the characters and the story are forgettable. I was hoping to be caught up in Mac and Jake, I really liked Mac as a character since she was first introduced during the series but their relationship was disappointing. I was more interested in the side characters than the main characters. Which is sad because when I read the first chapter, I was excited. I though that Melody Grace was finally going to "go there" and push outside of her cushy romance setting but alas it was a let down.
The only redeeming qualities are the meddling elders in town and how town gossip spreads so fast. I think there is just an emotional disconnect. Something is getting lost in translation and her beta-reviewers are too nice to say anything. While I see what emotions the characters are feeling, the problem is the characters are not making me feel those emotions. When drama occurs between Jake and Mac, I wasn't devastated but checking to see how much more of the book is left to read. And based off of that, I wouldn't recommend this book or series to a friend.
Glory. Fame. The adrenalin rush of the applause and the cheers. It can all be addictive. Jake had always had one single goal... to be the best football player around. His determination and dedication paid off when he excelled in high school, then college, and finally, when he was drafted into the NFL.
Ten years is a long time for a football player. Their bodies take all kinds of punishment overridden only by the desire to be the best and win. One torn ACL and that dream may just disappear. This is how we find Jake now, as he returns to Sweetbriar Cove to recuperate and think about his future if he still has one playing the game.
Mac is loving her life as the owner of her own little gallery. Her dinnerware and kitschy items are the results of hours of dedication at the pottery wheel. Her love life is nonexistent. No one measures up to the image of her high school friend Jake. Although he never clued in, Mac has had a super crush on him since she was sixteen years old. Somehow those feelings have remained dormant but present for the last ten years when he left town and went off to find fame and fortune.
Meeting Jake at this point in her life turns all her dreams and life upside down, to say the least. Now they both must find out what is important to each of them. Her life is in Sweetbriar. His life is in the vortex of all his fame and fortune. Will they be able to bridge the gap?
I just adore all the stories about this little town. This endearing book is so far the best of all these small-town stories. It makes you feel all the emotions that come with a relationship that endured the test of time, and yet is shining new. Loved it!
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I thank the author for sharing a copy with me.
I love the holiday spirit of Sweetbriar, felt like one of those Christmas towns. Ok they do love their decorating though. I'm Yours is full of cheer and a friends to more vibe story of Jake and Mackenzie. Injured Jake on the mend comes back to his hometown and childhood best friend.
Mac has always crushed on Jake before, it was more unrequited or rather cut short before he left for football fame. It sucks that it had to be a huge blow to his career to reunite them. His return unknown but he's in denial that it may not be in cards. Big decision to come for him later on. Mac has change that much is true still artsy though and vibrant as ever. She has a secret dream of being more than her touristy artist but is scared.
They danced around one another, Jake was hot and cold which amped the tension. Though clearly you see their closeness still and they get along so smoothly. The banter even when things turn into more is still playful and it's like a realization that they do work well together as more than friends. It took a while before they got it together. It seemed all so natural turn of things when they let it happen. It's what comes next that will be the question.
The magic of the holidays bring two people back together again. Ah the atmosphere and setting of this book makes me really want a white Christmas. I'm Yours is full of love and sweetness and the right amount of steam. A feel good story very fitting for the season. I enjoyed seeing the others again too. I'm excited for Eliza's book for sure.
Everytime I read a Melody Grace novel, I feel like I've come home. Holidays in Sweetbriar Cove are seriously a dream come true. This place is perfection on Earth. Each of the characters we've met in the past 3 books are a delight to revisit. Jake and MacKenzie are an excellent addition to these memorable couples.
Starting the book off with a kiss that melted my kindle had me HOOKED!! While MacKenzie knew exactly who she was kissing, our handsome stranger didn't have the same advantage. Low and behold, MacKenzie's childhood friend, NFL star, Jake was back in town. This was a fantastic start to a friends-to-lovers story that explored feelings past and new relationships 10 years later.
While I did find I'm Yours to be a tiny bit slower than the previous 2 books I've read, I loved the story the same. Every character feels like your closest friend. The town tells a story itself; like it's own character to the story. In this case, planning holiday festivities for the town provided a trip down memory lane that felt like I'd lived in Sweetbriar for years. Jake and MacKenzie developed a whole new relationship, at the same time, falling into step of the friendship they'd always had. Transitioning from friends to lovers felts super organic and natural. There were fireworks, heat, uncertainty, but loaded with PASSION.
I can never get enough of Sweetbiar Cove. Every book is a special tale, with a special couple. Jake and MacKenzie were no different. I've loved every book in the series, and I can't wait for Eliza's story next.

Poor MacKenzie lives in a small town that is a little on the old fashion side with their adage that if you're a lady still unattached at thirty that you'll end up being a spinster cat lady. She's had many fix-ups arranged by well meaning friends and has now pretty much sworn off on the dating life.
She acts impulsively on a chance Halloween encounter with her old high school crush. Jake is the small town made famous football player. He's come home to recover from a possible career ending injury. It doesn't take Jake long to realize how much he misses his high school best friend.
These two give in to their attraction. I think when you go from friends to lovers that there is a deeper connection. Which these two have. Their future seems to be building on a life together even though Mackenize knows deep down that Jake's career could be an issue. When Jake is dealt a devastating blow I was reeling with him. He reacted without looking at the big picture which deeply hurt MacKenize. I was very proud of Mackenzie on calling him out on his actions and for not allowing herself to be pushed aside.
Can MacKenzie remain strong and continue on without Jake and will Jake realize he doesn't have much of a life without MacKenzie?
This is a very sweet romance that really pulls at the heart strings.
Another great story in the series !! I read a bit out of order but I am back on track now !! I say it everytime I read a Melody Grace book - she is a great author , always get what you expect and always a nice flow to the story. Sometimes you need a break from intense and you want something to capture you and give you all the good feels. These series Melody creates give exactly that. Mackenzie and Jake have a great second chance romance. They knew each other and were great friends in high school but now 10 years later will their friendship finally reach the level Mackenzie wished for ? Mackenzie loves her hometown , her friends new and old , her business , the tourists and the traditions. What she doesn't love is everyone always trying to set her up ! Bad date after bad date Mackenzie has decided she will be the cat lady of Sweetbriar Cove. In walks an injured Jake and it is like he never left. A bit of a surprise at first since Mackenzie is in disguise BUT once Jake knows who he is dealing with life is great. He now has his bestie by his side and they are enjoying life and rekindling their friendship. There is an undeniable attraction and all their old friends know how Mackenzie felt in the past - Jake is the only clueless one !! How can they continue on with their dreams , realize their feelings and be happy ? Read the story to find out if it is possible !!

Loved Mackenzie & Jake's story! Beautifully written, and heartfelt! Your heart broke for Jake with the loss of his Football career! I've loved this series! This has been my favorite thus far!
In I'm Yours Melody Grace again brings us back to Sweetbriar Cove to all of her wonderful characters who have seemingly become friends and family to her readers, at least that's how they make me feel. We first met Mac in earlier stories, and now we finally get a chance to really know her as she gets a book of her own. When her best friend from high school, Jake, returns to Sweetbriar Cove nursing a football injury, her heart once again begins to flutter with the love she has felt for him since she was 16. Problem is, he never knew it. Now 10 years later those feelings multiply for Mac and Jake finally begins to see beyond the girl who was his best friend and has grown into a beautiful woman he is falling in love with as well.
I'm Yours is another outstanding romance from Melody Grace. I don't know where her inspiration comes from but as always she makes me want to move to Sweetbriar Cove to hang out with these fantastic characters. But I'll settle for their companionship through the pages of these magical and heartwarming stories.
I am now a fan of Melody Grace! I've just finished 4 books in the Sweetbriar series and can't wait to read on to the rest. You are hooked from the first book! The personality of each person is so real and believable. Can't wait to read everything she has written.
I do have one comment. It drives me crazy when things are mistyped or not the proper word or a word written twice! Who ever is doing your proof reading should be fired. I am very good at editing and I would be willing, at no charge, to read each book and make the very simple corrections before you go to print. Just give me a call 760-656-1186, or email me at Darla@uniqueandchic.com ( I've been an interior designer for most of my life), but everyone always has me edit what they have written I love your style of writing and the stories behind them. But an author as brilliant as you should be "mistake" proof. I would love to help. Darla Blake
Now let's just see if you really personally read your own comments and reviews?
Every time I read a Melody Grace book I wonder why I take so long in between books. Melody has a way of taking the reader right into the heart of the story. To the point that you feel like you are a part of her fictional world and the people she is writing about are your close friends. Mackenzie seems to have been in love with Jake forever. Having a crush on him in high school, only to not see him for ten years as he lived his dream through college football and then the NFL. But to him, she was only ever his best friend. There are parts in this book that my heart broke for Mackenzie. When everything she ever wanted with Jake seemed to be within her grasp, only for it not to turn out at all how she had hoped. With great characters that I really did wish I actually knew, a wonderful romantic story all based within a small town which I hope actually does exist somewhere in the world. Loved it. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book

This is the story of Mackanzie and Jake. The best of friends until Mackanzie wanted more..but even then he didn't feel like that and he also had his career. Mackanzie is still living in the same little town..the same place where once again she comes face to face with Jake. I love Mackanzie..just an amazing woman with a big heart! Jake wasn't exactly perfect, not that I would want perfect..but he tested my patience a lot. The chaemiatry was strong and the story evolve at just the right pace, the friends slowly becoming more and working towards their happily ever after. I love this series..firat I love small town and all that it entails, second there is something so sweet about small town romance..they make me positively giddy lol
Mackenzie is the Spinster of Sweetbriar Cove. A town where a secret isn't a secret for long with the town gossips. Jake is a local who left after high school for football and never came back. In high school Jake and Mackenzie were best friends. To Mackenzie, Jake has been more than a best friend, he's the boy who has held her heart since she was 16. Now Jake is back in town to recover from a injury for the holidays and he finally see's Mackenzie as more than a kid sister. But can Mackenzie recover again when Jake leaves because there has always been a expiration date on his stay. This is a great read to a awesome series. It can be read as a standalone.
I’m Yours was a sweet friends to lovers/second chance romance. Melody Grace sure knows how to make you fall in love with her characters. When I read this I kept thinking “I sure wish I lived in Sweetbriar Cove!” Mackenzie and Jack were two unlikely friends growing up but they did everything together. Only Makenzie longed for it to be something more. Jack left to live his dream of becoming a pro football player. An injury sidelined his career and brought him back home to recover. A stolen Halloween kiss left him wanting more. Teaming up to plan a holiday festival has him second guessing everything. You must read this book to see just what becomes of Jack and Mackenzie!
I'm sorry I really wanted to like this book. But I find that her books are always a hit or miss for me. The story was well written and the story developed well. I loved that all the characters from the series were in it. Of course I felt for Mackenzie's character since the first book in the sweet briar cove series. However I really did not like Jake. He was really annoying and bolting at every second which I found pathetic given their history. Of course they had their HEA but I was more excited for Mac while thinking he better start and CONTINUE to act right.
Romance story between Jake and Mackenzie the known spinster of Sweet Briar Cove. A cute romance story, but I was not in love with the ending. I feel like Mackenzie expected too much from Jake and wants him to change his whole life for her. What happened to compromise and finding a happy medium? Not a solution where she gets everything she wants and he only gets some of it. Guess I'm team Jake in this story. I do like the characters in this series so I plan to read the rest of the series, but this was definitely not my favorite in the series.
Once again Melody Grace delivers a romantic winner! Follow the story of artist Mackenzie, the Sweetbriar spinster, and Jake, the one best friend she had, who went big in the NFL, and left Sweetbriar behind for ten years until a career ending injury brought him back home. Is she over her high school best friend crush, or does she still crave him, will Jake ever realize she was more than his best friend? Enjoy reading this 5 star story and find out!
Warning: Be sure you have LOTS of tissues handy before you start this one. It is so frigging good! I could have used more stars—five was just NOT enough.
This book is so good! The storyline is amazing; the characters incredible; plot twists and turns really will get those tears falling and the HEA? Ohmigod…what an awesome HEA! Just be prepared to cry your eyes out on the journey to the true HEA.
I definitely think this one is well worth the time. ❤️❤️❤️
I would love to live in a town like Sweetbriar Cove! Yes, everyone knows everyone's business but you also have a great support system! I really enjoyed this story about Mackenzie and Jake. Even though I wanted to strangle Jake a time or two! Well written story with a good storyline and awesome characters! Can't wait to read the next one in this series!
What a great second chance romance. Mackenzie is a 30 year old artist who happens to be single, but she's accepted that fact and is really ok til someone from her past comes waltzing back in, Jack. Jack fire Mackenzie into and she vowed to never give up heart so easily again, but the connection between the two is amazingw.
Have I said how much I'm enjoying this series? I'm sure I have. McKenzie finally gets herself a man. It struck me as strange that she was the hometown girl and these wonderful guys were hooking up with women who just happened to come in town for different reasons. At least now she won't be the spinster of Sweetbriar.
