I knew the moment I saw her bent over the hood of her car on the side of the road that Layna was trouble.

It looked like the opening scene from a porno—a shapely blonde in a short skirt waiting for me to tow her sports car out of a ditch and dirty up that sweet, pure body with my filthy mechanic hands. I could hear the bow-chicka-bow-wow soundtrack in my head.

Then she opened her sassy mouth and everything about my reclusive, sensible, quiet life changed because Layna is not reclusive, sensible, or quiet.

Unfortunately, she’s also mine.

We both knew it right away, whether we wanted it or not. But she’s got her demons, and I’ve got my work cut out for me.

She thinks I’m big, surly, and overprotective. She has no idea. Whatever she’s running from, I’m going to fix. Whatever she needs, I’m going to give her. And the sooner she figures out what she needs is me, the better off we’ll both be.

Author’s confession: Like all my Blue Collar Bad Boys, this hero is outrageous, excessive, overblown (heh), and overdone. Just the way we like them. He’s dirty; she’s sweet. He’s from the wrong side of the tracks. She’s a poor little rich girl. It’s trope heaven up in here. Also, not to spoil anything but there might be neckties and bedposts happening. What would you do if the dude on this cover was bound and determined to let you do whatever you wanted to his body?

Brill Harper is a pseudonym. Like…a secret identity. By day she’s Clark Kent, writing romance books for young adults and grownups. By night, she’s Brill Harper writing unfailingly filthy, yet super sweet books, that would make her alter ego blush.

She especially likes to writes book about quirky, awkward heroines and alpha bad boys. Well, except that they are really alphamallows once they fall in love. Seriously--these heroes only have one weakness, and it's sticky, sweet love. They don't let anything stand in the way of taking what belongs to them. Ooey-gooey marshmallow hearts in big, burly dominating dudes. What's not to love about that?

Brill's books are filthy/sweet for when you're in the mood for something a little over the top. Okay, a lot over the top. Sorry, not sorry.

It's a short hot read and the H is really sweet!

The story is about Rogan and Layna.

She's on the run and he's the one who helped her, twice in two days.

She feels safe with him but it takes time for her to trust him fully. He's so patient and he's not afraid to let his woman be in control. He's a great man.

There's no epilogue. The last chapter's a few months later.

This woman creates such sexy caveman without them being an a-hole alpha. I mean holy smokin' mother of heaven Rogan makes me fanning myself.

description

Rogan at first appears intimidating - scary even. He has got a permanent rest bitch face and a man with few words. Layna, is a young and energetic, 21 years old girl. She's running from someone and has a trust issues. Rogan saves her and brought her to his Little Cabin on the Prairie.

Layna has got to be the most interesting and funny heroine. She appears wise despite her age and has a great sense of humor. Oh, and she's also an ex-felon LOL!

Rogan, deep sigh, dreamy sigh, sigh siiiigh. I'm in love with his character. His actions speak louder than his words. Though when he dirty talks, I melt into a fucking puddle. He's a charming, patient and has a troubled past. Funnily enough, despite his past, he's not an a-hole alpha like most men but is actually loved by his close friends and trying so hard to make everything comfortable for his woman.

But this man-this burly, gigantic, hulky man-gives me more than love. He gives me courage. And, if I'm not mistaken, he's going to make me a sandwich even though it's my night to cook.
That's true love, folks

The only thing missing in this is the epilogue with babies! And also daddy-kink! Rogan mentioned it at the beginning but apparently never gotten time to act it out LOL

P/s : I can't wait for some DILF action on the next book; Laid 😜

I wanted to give this book and honest try despite the reviews, but it was just so cheesy! The first encounter between the main characters was great! Beginning of the book was intriguing and caught my attention. But then it fell apart. The dirty talk was laughable between the hero who falls in love in one day and the heroine who’s a naive virgin who’s on the run from her step-father.

Their relationship was quick. Everything between them moved at lightning speed. Within days, there was talks of making babies. I couldn’t take any of this story seriously, despite the underlying solemnity of some of the content.

I love Brill Harper's short blue collar boys. Rogan is just as much a sexy alpha as the rest of the male characters only a tad quieter. But when he does speak....phew!!!

A short and steamy read by Brill Harper about a tow truck driver, Rogan and the young woman he helps Layna. They meet when she calls for a sevice to pull her out of a ditch and then again when she calls him to bail her out of jail. It's then he decides he wants to keep her and make her his. She has secrets and is running away from someone but she feels safe with him and finally opens up & reveals all.
I so love these books by this author, they are short and steamy, a perfect escape for short time when you need a break, they are free from over blown drama but just enough to keep it interesting, no exes or people trying to break them up. An alpha man who doesn't lie & is fiercely protective of his woman and doesn't play games. Instant attraction and a woman who is better with the alpha man by her side to complete each other....refreshing read, to the point, insta love, a book you can't put down till you're done....CAN'T WAIT for the next one!!

You know Layna is at the end of her rope when she calls a perfect stranger - the guy who pulled her car from a ditch - to bail her out of jail. And tow-truck driver Rogan has no clue why he's so drawn to this sassy handful of trouble; all he knows is that he can't walk away. Filled with wry humor, this romance between a snarky poor little rich girl and a dirty-talking recluse has some surprisingly deep philosophical moments as well as the best one-paragraph explanation of what a real man is that I've ever read. What he does with the neckties -- then the title to his house -- was absolutely breathtaking! I about died when he said, "You are the most amazing woman I've ever met, and I think I can smell colors now." Perfection!

Brill Harper is just pure genius with these short insta-love stories. Each one is absolutely amazing, and this one felt like it had the most profound love story so far. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Oh, man, this book. I've been a romance reader for the majority of my life. I cut my teeth on Nora Roberts before I was even a teenager. So it takes a lot for me to laugh at a romance, especially if it's not a romantic comedy or isn't even trying to be funny.

This book, however, had me laughing in second-hand embarrassment and disbelief. Look, I know this wasn't going to be an epic romance. I was looking for something that was dirty and quick. Wrecked met that criteria, but, this book is so over-the-top ridiculous that I can't help laughing out loud. Suspend disbelief on this one, readers.

The biggest issue I had with this book (other than it's ridiculousness) was the insta-love. Ugh, insta-love. I hate it. I get that this book was short so things had to happen quickly, but there's seriously zero run up to the hero deciding he's in love. Speaking of the hero … I really like how the author crafted Rogan. I wish this book was longer so we could get a fully fleshed version of this story.

This book is like when you're sort of hungry and are scouting your shelves for a snack. Suddenly you remember you have that giant bag of Doritos you bought last week and grab for it with a triumphant grin. You settle on the couch with your Doritos, turn on the TV, and mindlessly start munching away until, you realize, the bag is completely empty. You feel a little guilty for gorging on the chips because you know they aren't good for you (especially an entire bag in one sitting), but you also sort of don't regret it. That's what this book was for me. Gorging on something that is not the greatest, and, yet … yep, still no regrets.

Not my favorite from this series, especially after having just read Tagged, which is leading the charge as my favorite. I felt like this story started at the wrong place in their relationship, so we were immediately trying to play catch-up. It made me less interested in them than I might have been had it started the day before when they'd actually met. And the introduction of her stepfather came too late as well, it seemed like an afterthought the storyline, but it was actually a pretty big part of it. I also wasn't a fan of the narrator, she did both points of view, but I couldn't tell the difference between any of the characters, and there wasn't any emotion to her voice, it was like she was reading, not performing. Overall, it just didn't work for me.

Do you think you have to have it together to deserve to be loved? Princess, most of the people on this planet are a mess. None of us know what we are doing. You do your best each day and hope it’s working. Then you find the person who makes you feel like you at least understand why you’ve been trying. I own a business. I work hard. I get up each day and try to be a decent guy. But I don’t have my shit together any more than you do, and I’ve had more practice. I’m surly and reclusive, and I don’t need a headshrinker to tell me it’s because I never got over being abandoned by my mother. But then I met you and now I understand why I get up each morning. Why I try to be decent. Why I work hard.

Brill Harper's Alphamallows are my world. Her Blue Collar Bad Boys series is like your favourite treat. There is no angst, no complications and always a happy ever after. Sometimes we all need some insta-love, manly men who fall head over heels immediately and aren't scared to admit it, and dirty af fun. I will use this review for all her Blue Collar Bad Boys books because it remains the same. I have read them all, and I reread them on super stressful or bad days because it's an instant smile on my face. Support Brill and her lovely smutty books and take that mini-vacay for an hour.

The story was ok. The first chapter was unique, but after that it was very ho-hum. There was no time for sexual chemistry... they practically jumped right into making out. Had the story been more about them wanting and tempting each other but not giving in, I think it might have been more interesting.

The narrator read kind of slow, so I ended up bumping it to 1.20x so she sounded like a college girl instead of a sweet middle aged woman. No change in voice for male POV.

I received an audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this one (big surprise). Rogan is such a sweetheart and Layna had a sass and fire that was different than the other female leads in Brill Harper's books - and I am so here for it! Wrecked is fun, sexy, and (once again) full of heart. There's also an element of suspense (though minor) that set this book apart from Nailed, Drilled, and Bounced. AND there was a sneak peek at her upcoming book and it looks FANTASTIC!! 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

Layna is running from her life and horrible step father when her car gives in... Rogan steps in to help.

Fast forward a bit and he is bailing her out of jail and finding out that the woman she portrays isnt who she is.

They soon find there way in to the love grove.

Short hot quick listen. I listened to the audio of this. This is an insta love older man/younger woman romance. Rogan is a tow truck driver who answers a call and ends up helping Layna who he thinks is some rich princess but due to some circumstances she ends up in his care and he sees there is more to her. I enjoyed listening to this story.

A short and dirty read. Loved it. Especially loved the "tie scene". Read to find out what I'm talking about.

But surprisingly, I was more psyched for Laid with Conner+Cassidy whose snippet was included. I'm looking forward to reading their story.

Pretty good

This was a pretty good book. Not as good as some of the others in the series. Just seemed as if Rogan and Layna moved a bit too fast. Didn’t feel like the chemistry had a chance to draw the reader in.

The absolute only problem I had with this book is I felt I came into the story in the 2nd chapter...like I was missing the 1st part...however it doesn't affect the story and I'm still giving it 5 stars because the dirty talk more than makes up for it!😁
