Cometbus #49

Rate this book
This is a contributor issue of Cometbus. It's got a TON of stuff, including some gritty, experimental poems, an interview with Pat Wright of KALX and Gilman Street and one with Erik Zo about making messenger bags, stories by folks like Spam, Jess Hillard, Charlotte Subenhara, Samara Halperin, and Jeff Grimes, and art by folks including Shannon Wheeler. Altogether it's a deep dive into Bay Area culture of the turn of the millenium. This was the last issue published before the zine went on its 2004-2006 hiatus.

I don’t always like the contributor issues as much as the ones fully written by Aaron, but this time around the sort of Cometbus-as-curator thing brought a different kind of pleasure. Mixed bag but breezy.
