The Vault #3

Brutal Sin

Rate this book
Falling in love will be brutal.

Bryan is ruthless, heartless, and more than a little proud of his notorious reputation, until his bad attitude threatens to strip him of the one place he can’t live without. His sanctuary. The Vault. The exclusive club is the only place he feels at home, and he’ll do whatever it takes to reclaim what is his. Even if it means asking for help from the woman who landed him in trouble in the first place.

Pamela may have become weak-kneed over Bryan’s talented hands once before, but this self-empowered widow isn’t stupid enough to want more from the sanctimonious ass. Nope. At least that’s what she tells herself before he turns up at her café, offering to refresh her memory on his skilled fingers and filthy words in exchange for a favor.

He needs her to set things straight in the Vault. She needs him to satisfy the cravings of fulfilment she’s been missing. It’s a match made in hedonistic heaven, until hostility turns to lust, and lust into passion, capturing them both in an emotional web neither one of them want to be ensnared in.

Warning: This is an exhibitionist’s playfield and a voyeur’s delight, but dominance always rules. Throw in teasing, torture, and a gag or two, and you’ve got yourself another night of debauchery within the carnal walls of the Vault of Sin.

A RED-HOT romance that will ignite the senses and set your body aflame, BRUTAL SIN by Eden Summers brings the HEAT, the EMOTION, and the ANGST in one fell swoop! It's been quite a while since I've delved into the works of author Eden Summers. I didn't know how much I actually CRAVED IT until I started Bryan and Pamela's emotional and sensual journey. Now all I can say is, GIVE ME MORE! Bring on the angst! Bring on the emotional upheaval! I want it all! And in BRUTAL SIN, we get TONS of it, as well as, a storyline that will leave you with a heavy, but absolutely full heart!

"I won't stand here while you kid yourself about your dirty little perversions. If you want me to make you come, you need to own it."

Bryan a.k.a. Brute is one ruthless bastard! It may take some of you a while to warm up to this gruff man, but trust me on this...he will touch your heart more than any other heroes in this series. Just be patient and ride along his emotional journey to break down what the cause of it all is. There are some demons there and when he finally breaks down a little and lets Pamela in, and their demons merge together, only then you will find out that he was digging his way into your heart all along.

"I can read your body like it's my own, sweetheart."

Nothing will prepare you for the emotional pull that comes with reading this erotic romance. The scenes are nothing but INTENSE. The chemistry is nothing but EXPLOSIVE. The witty and sometimes harsh banter will punch you in the gut, and even though this isn't your 'hearts and flowers' romance, it doesn't make the happily ever after any less special! This is FAR from an insta-love story and you have to put a lot of trust in the author to get you there, but I guarantee she WILL get you there. She just makes you work for it...heart and soul.

I loved Bryan's and Pamela/Ella's book. Like Shay we all knew Brute was due some love and a woman of his own. And don't worry if you haven't read either of the other two books from the Vault of Sin series - this can definitely be read as a stand alone.

Well I would never have guessed/predicted the plot, the reasons behind Bryan's 'Brute' personality, the woman who would break his rules OR why he had those rules. This didn't have the raw sexuality of Shot of Sin or the heartbreaking emotion of Union of Sin, this was much more about two people learning to trust in each other without even realising they are doing so. That said it still has steaming hot chemistry along with a myriad of emotions, but it also offers so much more within its pages too.

I'm struggling to say much about the book as I want to avoid any spoilers. Instead I will say that I read this in one go, ignoring the phone and my family in order to read it as quickly as possible. Even when Bryan is being totally Brute you still can't help but love him, and I really liked Pamela too. They are well written and believable, I loved the banter between them but also the banter between Bryan and Shay and the warm, loving relationship Pamela clearly has with her family.

The pace kept me gripped, the plot blew me away (there is nothing of the cliched romance book here!), the descriptions, the emotions, the writing are all amazing. I loved that we didn't get to much information about Bryan's past, we had enough to understand him without unnecessary detail that would have distracted from the here and now.

The only problem I have is that this is possibly that this may be the last Vault of Sin book and I would love more Shay, Leo, TJ, Cassie, Bryan and Pamela. And definitely would love more visits to the Vault!

ARC received from author for an honest review

We have had quite a wait for this book (not the author's fault) and boy was it worth it.

I had been intrigued by Bryan "Brute" Munro in the first 2 books in the series, and he was everything - and more - that I wanted him to be.

He is hot, sexy, mercurial AF - and all of the women (including this one!) want him!

Pamela, or Ella, is one "non-orgasm" hook up from quitting the Vault of Sin.

Gah, I read this book in one afternoon, I didn't want to put it down.

Brute and Ella are hot hot hot when they do their thing, however there is so much more to their stories than sex club antics.

There is a delicious push/pull between them that keeps the reader constantly on edge, wondering if there will be more between our lovelies.

They need more. I need more.

I loved getting a glimpse into the lives of Leo and Shay (Shot Of Sin) and TJ and Cassie (Union Of Sin

Oh how I have missed them all.

Brute and Pamela's story is hot and sexy, sweet and at times sad, and I just couldn't put it down once I started.

Now I am impatiently waiting for what Ms Summers brings us next.

OH MY GOSH!!!!!

I LOVED THIS BOOK! This was one of those books I had to force myself to put down. I literally read 73% in my first sitting.

The story just flowed. It was so easy and beyond enjoyable to read. As I said, before I knew it, I was mostly done. The story is interesting and very low-stress. I didn't skim over any of it...I wanted to absorb every single smoking hot word!

"Smoking hot" isn't a strong enough phrase for this book. True to form, Eden included no shortage of intimate moments, but they were also emotionally intimate, which I loved.

Without question, I will be reading the first two books of the series (this is totally a standalone, though)!

A very well written and steaming hot story. Absolutely not disappointing. Bryans story is number three in this series.
There is lots of hot scenes and chemistry which flows out of the book. I just could not stop reading and had to finish it in one take.
Loved the way Eden Summers can write with passion and fill the story with emotions and drama. The dialogue is so good and the characters are well described. You get caught up in the story. Absolutely worth the read.

REVIEW: 4.25 stars--BRUTAL SIN is the third installment in Eden Summers’ contemporary, adult THE VAULT erotic, romance series focusing on three friends-Leo, TJ (Tate) and Brute (Bryan)- who own a private sex club known as the Vault of Sin where anything goes between consenting adults. This is Bryan ‘Brute’ Munro, and café owner Pamela aka Ella’s story line. BRUTAL SIN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Bryan and Ella) BRUTAL SIN follows the building but tumultuous relationship between the dark and broody co-owner of the sex club The Vault, and widowed café owner Ella. Since the death of her husband Lucas, Ella has never found another man able to satisfy her sexual needs, and a membership and the men at exclusive sex club The Vault weren’t producing the kind of satisfaction she was hoping to find. Enter club co-owner Bryan ‘Brute’ Munro, and the man that would bring our heroine to her knees. But Bryan Munro is a tormented and broken hero whose past is dark, and his attitude darker. What ensues is the building relationship and reluctant romance between two impassioned people where anger and rage bring forth the emotional union.

Bryan’s nickname Brute not only belies his attitude and emotions but also his persona at the sex club The Vault. Dark, dangerous, brooding and capricious Bryan’s rule is no seconds with any women including the woman that is calling to his heart. Ella’s desperate attempts to find someone who knows what it is she wants and feels finds our heroine pushing all of Bryan’s buttons-buttons that when pushed, push Bryan a little too far.

The relationship between Ella and Bryan is tempestuous at best. Bryan doesn’t do relationships, love, or family, and barely tolerates his business partners and friends. But Bryan’s cold façade hides a bitter past, a past that resurfaces, too little too late. Ella’s struggle is real, and Bryan is the only man capable of giving Ella what it is she needs and wants. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

All of the previous story line couples play secondary and supporting roles including TJ and Cassis (Union of Sin #2) and Leo and Shay (A Shot of Sin #1). We are also introduced to Ella’s sister Kim, and her mother-two women who love and work with our story line heroine.

BRUTAL SIN is an intense and emotional story line. Although we know very little about their back stories, we get a small glimpse into the fractured family dynamics between Bryan and the people he left behind. The premise is engaging and dramatic; the characters are energetic and passionate; the romance is provocative and fierce. My only issue is the lack of real information regarding Bryan’s past, and what precipitated our hero’s slow decent into h*ll.

I found this to be the best book of the series.

Bryan has earned his nickname of Brute, because all he every shows the people around him is his cold, hardened heart. He never opens up to anybody about his life or his past, but we all know that he has to have a soft spot somewhere or does he.

Ella, too, has had a rough time of it in the past and when things don't work out like she hopes, she is ready to give up hope and to stop trying. Brute is able to help Ella past a major milestone, but will the rules he lives by get in their way?

Lets just say that in the end, Bryan shows his true colors.

This is a must read series by Eden Summers.

Brutal Sin is the third book in the Vault of Sin Series from Eden Summers. You don't have to have read the two previous books but I would recommend them for a better reading experience. Each book is about a different owner of the club so you see all these characters in each book.

Bryan is ruthless, heartless and more than a little proud of his reputation, until his bad attitude threatens to strip him of the one place he can't live without. The Vault. His sanctuary. The exclusive club is the only place he feels at home and he will do whatever it takes to reclaim what is his. Even if it means asking for help from the woman who landed him in trouble in the first place. Pamela. The woman who may have became weak kneed over Bryan's talented hands once before but his self empowered widow isn't stupid enough to want more from Bryan. He's a jerk. Or at least that is what she tells herself before he turns up at her cafe offering to refresh her memory of his skilled fingers and filthy words in exchange for a favor. He needs her to set things straight at The Vault. She needs him to fill the craving of fulfillment she has been missing. It is a match made in hedonistic heaven until hostility turns to lust and lust into passion capturing them both in an emotional web neither one of them wants to be ensnared in.

Oh how I could not wait for Burte's book. I just knew from the first book in this series that he would have quiet the story to tell. He is the one that intrigued me the most. Don't get me wrong I love the other guys in this series but there was just something about Bryan. He is all dark and broody and just down right ornery. Enter Pamela who has been a member of The Vault for a while but is about to walk away because she can't find what she has been looking for since her husband died. He changed her preference and none of the men in the club have been able to bring forth from her the one thing she craves and desires. Until Bryan. Bryan with is one time only rule but only has to touch her to bring her to her knees. He is a butt. He is downright awful to Pamela I thought but knew that that wasn't the real Bryan. He didn't get the nickname Brute for no reason. Thus begins a journey that neither Bryan or Pamela are really ready for. But I felt more so Bryan than Pamela. Heck the guy can't even say her real name and uses Ella so you know something major is going on.

Eden Summer's does not disappoint and delivers a story that is at time emotional and just so good you need to go buy it now and enjoy the ride. I am so in love with all these amazing characters that I knew this will be a series I will read many times over. Now run go and start this series so your not missing out on one of the best series out there today.

Bryan aka Brute is the last of the 3 owners of The Vault to remain a single man and he is perfectly OK with that. The Vault is his refuge, the one place that he can go to just be himself and enjoy himself while forgetting about the rest of the world, but lately even that one place of solace has been becoming more and more annoying to him. He makes it very clear when he plays that he is not looking for anything more than one night, yet women seem to take that declaration and his bad attitude as an invitation to try and change him much to his frustration.

When Shay, Leo's significant other and one of The Vault's bartenders, approaches him with a challenge to help a woman who is considering cancelling her membership because she can't find what she needs, he thinks it is another lame attempt by her to help him find some happiness. But when he gets a good look at the woman in question, he isn't sure if he should run or walk away.  Pamela aka Ella has not escaped his notice since the moment she applied for membership, but despite his attraction, he has never actually spoken to her. Widows equate to a boatload of baggage in his mind, and he doesn't do baggage or clingy or attachments... you get the idea. Yet the woman standing before him seems to be the polar opposite of clingy with a definite spirit and attitude to match his own.

Pamela's marriage was short-lived due to her husband's terminal illness, but in the time they were together he taught her about a side of herself she never knew existed. He awoke a need for true dominance in a partner, but the men of The Vault either don't have what she needs or only play at being what they think she needs in order to try to spend some time with her. When faced with Brute, she instinctively knows he can offer what she has been looking for- if she can tolerate his godawful attitude.

And so begins the teasing, the taunts, the challenges and the seriously steamy moments when they finally break enough to give in to one another. Secrets of Brute's past and truths about Pamela's marriage slowly rise to the surface, and despite their best attempts to avoid it, a connection is built between them. Bryan has never really known love before or been in a relationship. so he has absolutely zero knowledge of how to navigate through that version of a minefield even if he wanted to. Pamela is afraid of repeating history, but something about him calls to her. Brutal Sin may be a little tumultuous and may seriously aggravate you at times, but it is 100% fitting for these two characters and was an enjoyable addition to The Vault series.

Original Review @ Naomi’s Reading Palace

It's been almost 2 years since I began The Vault series, and I have been hanging to read Brute's book. I was eager to meet the girl that would bring back the spark that appeared to be missing. What I didn't expect to find was the hurting boy hidden within the man and to see him struggle with his feelings when someone from his past contacted him.

Brute/Bryan was the alpha male I expected him to be! He was sometimes rude and abrupt, but that was just the way he was. When it came to Pamela, I could see him softening towards her, as she was getting under his skin. He revealed details about his past to her, which he hadn't done before, not even to his best friends Leo and T.J.

Pamela was a girl who knew what she wanted and was sick of giving in to the boys that were trying to seduce her. She wanted a sure thing, with a guy who would give her what her body needed, so Shay set her up with Bryan. She tried hard to not get attached to him, even though each time they were together he blew her mind. She opened up about her past and Bryan understood her hesitancy.

I loved seeing these two together, because they had more in common than they realised to begin with. They had insane chemistry and it was only a matter of time before Bryan knew Pamela was different than other girls. I liked seeing all the previous characters in the series again too, and how they came together, despite Brute trying to push them away. Brutal Sin was a sexy and intense final instalment in the series!

OMG!!! I read this book within a couple of hours. Could not put it down. It is so sexy it'll set the pages on fire. My favorite out of the series even tho I wanted to smack Brute myself.
Pamela, Ella, is a widow and goes to Vault to try to find a man who'll give her what she needs. An orgasm. She owns a coffee shop and is gorgeous. She is about to give up her membership when Shay convinces her to give it one more shot.
Brute or Bryan is a one time man. He doesn't believe in love because of his past. He never sleeps with a woman more than once. He's grouchy, hateful, and so freaking sexy. All the women want him no matter how much of a butt he is to them. He gives her her first orgasm by just his voice and fingers.
When he totally humiliates her in front of a crowd, the women go against him. He's supposed to do a demonstration on ways to please a woman but no one wants to come to the class now. His only hope is to get Pamela to be his assistant, so they can see there are no hard feelings. When Ella starts to see behind his butt-holish-ness, she starts to fall for him. She walks away, like he always does to women, he realizes he might have found something he wasn't even looking for...love. Can the quiet, private man open up to Ella or will he lose her?

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~~
Bryan or Brute as he is known in the Vault, the very private and exclusive adult club that is his sanctuary. Brute must succumb to the one woman he can't resist Pamela. Pamela has been looking for something at the Vault that she isn't finding. She feels she will never find the satisfaction and special needs she hasn't received in a long time. The only man who has moved her is one that she isn't willing to suffer under again. Brute must convince Pamela using his special skills that he has honed within the walls of the Vault.
I have to be honest and say I have been waiting for this book and Eden Summers did not disappoint. When I first met Brute in A Shot of Sin his surly ways won me over. Than in Union of Sin he continued to entice me to want to know about him and what he was about. Then when he and Pamela met it melted my kindle. The heat and fire that the two of them create jumps off the pages. The story pulls you in and you won't want to stop reading. This is definitely a book and series I will come back to again and again. This is MUST read book. Eden Summers is a master of seducing her readers as she weaves her stories around us. I give this book five extremely HOT STARS!!!
The story has betrayal, secrets, twists, naughty fun and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
A Shot of Sin (Vault of Sin #1)
Union of Sin (The Vault #2)
This is Pamela and Bryan’s story. When Bryan’s sanctuary is threatened he will stop at nothing to save it. Even if it means asking for help from the woman that landed him in trouble to begin with. Pamela is not stupid and does not want anything from him. But can he convince her to help him out? What happens when all the hostility turns into lust and passion can these two come out of this the same as when they went in? Or will they come out with so much more than they bargained for?
I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a good read. Eden knows how to pull you in so you feel the emotions right along with the characters she makes you fall in love with. The scenes in the Vault are naughty and oh so fun.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
I found this book a little confusing. I love how Brute or Byran is honest that he comes off mean, it's all most funny. The confusing part of the book was about him. I understand his family made him how he is. What was reasoning for cutting him off? I think that's what is sticking in my mind. Pamela/Ella is confident strong woman with a great heart. Very heart felt story.
The relationship between Ella and Bryan is tempestuous at best. Bryan doesn’t do relationships, love, or family, and barely tolerates his business partners and friends. But Bryan’s cold façade hides a bitter past, a past that resurfaces, too little too late. Ella’s struggle is real, and Bryan is the only man capable of giving Ella what it is she needs and wants. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
All of the previous story line couples play secondary and supporting roles including TJ and Cassis (Union of Sin #2) and Leo and Shay (A Shot of Sin #1). We are also introduced to Ella’s sister Kim, and her mother-two women who love and work with our story line heroine.
BRUTAL SIN is an intense and emotional story line. Although we know very little about their back stories, we get a small glimpse into the fractured family dynamics between Bryan and the people he left behind. The premise is engaging and dramatic; the characters are energetic and passionate; the romance is provocative and fierce. My only issue is the lack of real information regarding Bryan’s past, and what precipitated our hero’s slow decent into h*ll.
Brutal Sin is the third and final novel in Eden Summers deeply sensual The Vault series and is an electric display of sensuality, sexuality and passion.
Bryan Munro is known as a brute. His arrogant, ruthless and obnoxious attitude is something he's proud of, until his reputation puts The Vault in jeopardy. Unable to live with the thought he may loose his sanctuary thanks to his thoughtless actions, Brute sets out to obtain the assistance of the woman who put it in danger in the first place in order to save it. Frustrated widow Pamela was about to give up on finding sexual satisfaction when Bryan rocked her world during one fulfilling encounter. Too bad he's an arrogant ass she can't stand.....yet can't help but be attracted to. When Bryan requests Ella's assistance in saving The Vault saying no may not be an option but saying yes may leave more on the line than their raging libidos....it may be their very hearts.
Eden Summers has done it again! And with such style. Though Brutal Sin concludes The Vault series it still manages to entrance readers with its vibrant passion and thrilling romance. Brute and Ella come alive with electric chemistry and luscious moments of passion and fire, their relationship vivid and emotional.
In all honesty, Brutal Sin is my favourite book in this series by far. Though I've loved all three tales, Brute's tale sunk its nails into me a bit more. I loved Bryan and I loved Ella. Their relationship was one that I thought was well told and paced. I believed Bryan and Ella were falling for one another in a way that was believable but still very sexy.
Bryan was so much gentler than I was expecting--while still being a sexy dominating lover when required and I enjoyed seeing Summers weave his sexual prowess together with a genuine nature. Pamela on the other hand wasn't the broken hearted widow I may have been anticipating she would be. Eden Summers does well by Ella in explaining her marriage and giving it a purpose and impact on her current and future relationship with Brute.
Fans of the series will be thrilled to see Leo, Shay, T.J. and Cassie back in Brutal Sin and will be stoked with Bryan and Ella's passionate but emotional tale. Well written and perfect from beginning to end, I highly recommend Brutal Sin and the whole Vault series in general. Can't wait to read whatever Eden Summers releases next!
I have been waiting for Bryan 'Brute' Munro's book since SHOT OF SIN, the first book in the The Vault series by author Eden Summers. Despite his nickname, and the 'don't mess with me' aura that he exudes, I was sure that there was much, much more to him than met the eye, and, finally, in BRUTAL SIN, we get to see just what makes this man tick.
With both his partners happily paired off, Brute is the last man standing, as it were, and he has no plans to change that, ever. But he hadn't counted on Pamela/Ella, one of the patrons from The Vault, to rock his world. Brute is a one-and-done kind of guy, but there's just something about this woman that gets under his skin, and he does not like it one bit.
BRUTAL SIN is a page-turner, and nicely ties up this series. With plenty of Eden's usual sizzle and steam, there's also lots of heart, and from places that we wouldn't have necessarily have expected. I just loved seeing Bryan get his turn at love, and really enjoyed the way that Eden wrapped things up. (NOTE: Eden, if you're reading this, this is NOT to say that I wouldn't be more than a little bit open to more time in The Vault...) Like the other books in this series, BRUTAL SIN is an easy 4.5-star read for me, and one I happily recommend for fans of romance with a bit of a twist. And, if you haven't read the other books, add them to your TBR and enjoy the series as a whole.
I devoured this book !!!! in one day !
I've waited for this and let me tell you, it was worth the wait, and then some ...
we can call this book "how to fall in love by looking for the opposite ".
Bryan aka Brute thinks he's so smart, the Vault of Sin resident grumpy face, that he can keep playing the game by his set of rules, only to find them to backfire on him.
“I promise I’ll give you what you need, but I won’t chase you. You walk out the door and I won’t follow.”
“How can you promise that?”
“Because what you interpret as arrogance is actually experience. Unlike other men, I know what I’m doing.”
“A long list of conquests won’t help. My appetite is more specific than most.”
Pamela is trying to find her way back to sexual pleasure after her husbands death only to find herself face to face with Brute, the game is on, who will hold the best poker face all the while trying not to get hurt.
“We’ll see who’s uncomfortable once you’re naked and writhing. I figure the apology you’re going to owe me for doubting my skills will be hard to spit out.”
“I’m never going to apologize for not being endeared by your shitty attitude ... If you can work any sort of magic it will merely be a payoff for the crap you’ve put me through.”
Eden is a great writer, she made me laugh my ass off with characters and on the next page I get all hot and bothered by the action. And let me tell you, there is something sexy about a grumpy, brooding, domineering male like Brute. Mmmmmmm pushes all my buttons.
4.5 Stars!
Eden Summers is quite the versatile writer these days. Whether it's her rock stars or dominant alpha bad boys, she knows how to light up your kindle and make your heart race.
The Vault is a highly addictive that is full of erotica... with splashes of angst... all wrapped up with those pesky feels 😆 that will have your heart in your throat and your panties tossed to the side.
Brutal Sin is the third standalone novel with the Vault series and I can definitely say it was so worth the wait. Sexy. Intense. Emotional. Passionate. Captivating. This book ticked off all of my marks for basically the near perfect romance. Pamela and Bryan were mesmerizing and hypnotic... they put me in a trance during their journey ... one I did not want to be brought out of.
If you like your books sexy as hell with some depth and tons of heart shattering feelings, then give Eden a try!
I highly recommend this book and sizzling series.
Pamela joined the Vault of Sin after the death of her husband. She wanted to find someone who could fulfill her needs and had just about give up when she met Bryan, known as Brute. He gave her an unforgettable orgasm in a few minutes and then left. Pamela didn’t know what to think and wanted to see him again. He let her know that when he had sex with a woman, there would be no seconds. He did not want to get close to any woman nor did he want to have any feelings toward a woman. He came from an unloving home and grew up a loner and that’s just the way he liked it.
A great book and I really liked the growing love between Pamela and Bryan. He was finally able to admit his love for her and when she told him she loved him, he said it was the first time anyone had said that to him. Coming from a home where he was not loved, he finally found love with Pamela, who he called Ella.
I won a copy of the book through Goodreads. I loved the book and now have to go back and read the first two books in the series.
A Brute Force
This was my favorite book in The Vault series. Bryan “Brute” is a hard loving, gorgeous, orgasm giving man who loves nothing more than sleeping with women once making it unforgettable and then moving on. Being part owner of their sex club “Vault” definitely helps appease his needs. When Shay introduces him to Camille he is taking back by her beauty and he remembers her application for their club. Camille has a problem that only Brute can solve for her. However, he refuses to budge on his rules and takes it upon himself to help Camille find a man worthy of her. Their attraction jumps off the pages and their sex scenes are too die for. Their passion and lust is so intense. Watching them find each other and fighting their demons together is worth the wait. This is a hot intense book that will leave you satisfied. Happy Reading!
Brute- Ella- complete hotness
Not enough stars to give. Just finished this series and Leo and TJ’s stories are fantastic but this is by far my absolute favorite! This story consumed me and all my emotions. So intense and Brute is so hard to sum up in just one adjective but suffice it to say... damn! The heartache and the personal growth of the characters so well written. As for the steaminess.. this will get your ladybits a flutter and more. Thanks for writing such a grab hold keep you interested series!!
Uhmmm.... this is supposed to be a dark romance?
There’s a broody guy, a complicated woman, some drama, violence, and steamy stuff. The plot kind of happens. I think there were twists? Some of them were probably shocking, or at least trying to be. The characters talk a lot about feelings but don’t really say much. There are moments that are supposed to be intense, but they didn’t really grab me or at least they try to. Started well at the beginning but became bleh later on. Pretty standard fare.
Not bad, not amazing. Just… there.
2.5 stars. Maybe a 3stars Read it, moved out
Brutal Sin
Wow, loved this series of Vault books! Bryan/ Brute s quite emotionless, gives off the unfeeling, never more than the one- night, no commitment guy, and not much of a talker. Pamela/ Ella is wanting more than she has been able to find in a Dom at the club so far, just about to give up, when one of the owners has an idea. Someone is bound to get hurt feelings out of this, left with broken hearts, or just maybe they can heal each other❤️! Great story, loved it!
Ok, not what I thought it would be. Loved one and two and believed this story would be awesome. It would be ok as a stand alone but not as part 3 to this series. And the reason for his distance from his family? No clue. I was very disappointed after waiting so long for it to be written. It almost felt like the author knew the story needed to be done but didn't put any thought into it. It was only ok for me.
I read this book with my kindle unlimited subscription. I definitely liked this book better than the last one in this series. Bryan who is nicknamed Brute was an enigma in the other books. We learn a bit more about him in this story. I'm a little disappointed that we don't really find out what his deal is with his family. Pamela has dealt with a lot in her past as well. I did like the ending of the book.
Had potential to be better
This book left me confused.
The story took place mostly in a Sex club but lacked on sex.
The characters connected on a deep level by not communicating with each other.
I think there was potential in the story to go either dark by exploring their issues, funny by spinning her into a funny clutz or something. I kept up reading hoping it will pick up eventually but no matter how close it got, it did not take off.
