I was intrigued to read this book but was disappointed. I had to stop somewhere in the middle. I just can't take what I'm reading. I read the reviews to see if someone share the same view as mine. Apparently not. Seems to me that most of the reviews are different ways to restate the short synopsis given to lure readers. I had to skim through the book to see what they see as "5-star" I couldn't so I just stopped wasting my time reading. I never wrote a review before but I just felt the need to inform the people before reading this.

---- possible spoiler -----

How can Harper just be defeated by her maniac pervert boss? How can she just let it go? She just cried. He might be rich but she shouldn't go down without a fight. Sexual assult isn't something that is just shrugged off.

How is that no one seems to take sexual assult seriously. Harper have been telling everyone that she got "felt up" by her boss and also saying she can handle it. The people who she told about it, her sister and Brayden, just somewhat shrugged the topic off, like it's not a bid deal, and told her to be careful. Seriously that's it. Be careful and watch out?

Is Brayden taking Viagra? Seriously. He's just damn horny it's not funny or sexy anymore, it's so cringy. Like you said, they are not in high school anymore. Not teenagers anymore. They are adults. Get a grip.

This is only a few points that irked me so bad i had to write a review. I wonder how much more I could say if I finished the book.
It was a waste of time reading. And even more waste of time writing this review. But atleast I felt good after ranting.

I really enjoyed this book.
The battle that occurred within the characters only made this book more appealing not to mention frustrating on some levels. It seemed like every time I thought the characters would say or do something that I thought was coming the author put a twist in and made me rethink on how the couple would follow not the traditional way but a totally unconventional way to some extent.

Hot sex when it finally came.

I pretty much hated Harper by the end. And how could Brayden be so terrible at communication (That text. Ugh. Why was it so vague? Mind you, if Harper wasn't so prone to overreacting..... )? Some things were unresolved or haphazardly resolved -- e. g., Harper confronts Brayden about Ripley saying he saw Brayden enter another woman's hotel room. He doesn't actually address her assumption that he slept with the other woman (and Harper gets distracted from her line of questioning by sex. OMG) By the end I didn't care if Harper was kidnapped or just drugged (I was hoping for kidnapping, to be honest) and why did she pick Cleveland as her runaway destination again (nothing against Cleveland ☺) And a final random thing -- wasn't she blonde with curly hair? So why does the cover model (on the edition I read at least) have straight black hair???? Someone pass the wine....

Once again Kira Blakely manages to add a new twist to what could have become a average read.

This may be a second time romance and some may not understand where the heart lies but Kira Blakely absolutely does. Brayden made a huge mistake in his younger years but his chance has come for redemption as well as giving his heart what it has always craved.
Harper comes home to start all over and what she hoped would give her a new beginning has turned into a nightmare of a job. To top things off the one man who broke her is there to witness it. But past mistakes set aside Brayden wants to make things right and offering his help to Harper is just the beginning.

LIfe is not always easy and the author acknowledges that fact with Harper and her reactions and behaviors. Yes, at times she is just whiny but let's face it ....most people would not handle things much better in her shoes. THIS is just a book with a some interesting characters that draw you in. Don't make more out of it than it is. I find this author always adds a twist to her stories that makes them original and allows for hope to blossom. I recommend this book and others by this author. Let her help you escape reality and enjoy a really good read.

She’s Mine by Kira Blakely a hard and rich five-star read. I adore this author and have loved everything she writes, in my eyes she just gets better and better, my problem is now I get so picky there was one little bit that felt a little rushed, but overall I loved this story. It was a great romance and had something that I have been missing for a little while, there was a lovely sense of whimsy to the story that has made it one of my favourites from this year.
Harper Filkins is a woman who has been let down more times than she should have been, when she was in school her boyfriend let her down when she refused to give it up to him, and she didn’t think she would ever forgive him for it, then when she started at a great company she thought she had it made, until he went on an extended holiday with the company check-book. When she has lost everything, it may just be the time that she finds something she wasn’t looking for.
Brayden Campbell is a very rich and good-looking man, he is the owner if a luxury resort in Harpers home town, he’s also the fool she dated in high school. When fate puts Harper in his path again he vows to show her he was wrong all those years ago, and he does deserve her. While Harpers new job as a nanny living in the resort gives him the perfect opportunity. The journey won’t be as easy as he is used too. But he should realise that just because its hard doesn’t mean it won’t be worth it, after all hard can be a good thing.

Hands down my favorite book by Kira Blakely!! It was super hot and steamy and I love a really good second chance love story.

The last person Brayden ever thought he'd see again is the one regret he is, the one that got away Harper. Harper and Brayden are beyond floored to see each other again after 10 years when she walks into his hotel. He thinks it's fate giving him a second chance to right his wrongs but, she's still holding onto to the pain and hurt he caused her.

There's plenty of twists and turns that will keep you engaged from beginning to end.

I feel like I’ve read a million billionaire romances lately. They’re certainly popular and I for one, love them. Why not indulge in a grown-up fairy tale? A handsome billionaire looking to whisk me away from all of my day to day problems? Yes please…Anyways, I’ve read tons of them lately, but somehow Kira Blakely always finds a way to make them unique. Her plots are interesting and fast-paced, her leading characters have depth and good hearts and often times she sneaks in a crazy twist or two that I don’t see coming!

She’s Mine is a second chance, billionaire romance and I thought it could almost count as an enemies to lovers romance too, since Harper really, really hated Brayden at the start of the story. And I don’t blame her one bit. He broke up with her for the worst possible reason and then treated her as if she was in the wrong for sticking to her values. He didn’t just dump her, he shattered her heart.

When Harper grudgingly comes back home to Florida with her tail between her legs, she takes the first job she thinks will pay the bills and finds herself a nanny position for the family from hell. No really. Absolutely despicable humans, even the children were rotten. She finds herself stuck, she needs the job, but she shouldn’t have to take the abuse that this wretched family is dishing out, so Brayden comes to her rescue and offers her both an olive branch and a job.

Brayden is determined to redeem himself to Harper and hopes to someday have a chance with her romantically again. Their ridiculously hot chemistry is still very much present and when they argue the sexual tension is fabulous too, because everything between them is so heated and passionate.

There was an absolutely delightful surprise out on Brayden’s private island and I loved how that had a hand in playing matchmaker between the former high school sweethearts.

This was just a really entertaining book from start to finish. A beautiful second chance romance with humour, heat and healing hearts. Not to mention some family drama and a handful of characters that you will absolutely love to hate.

Brayden and Harper however are totally lovable. He has to work hard to get a second chance and so he should have to, after being such a jerk.

I think you’ll want to root for this smart, strong and sweet pair to sail off into the sunset, or at least I sure wanted them to have their happy ending!

The character of Harper was so whiny!

I loved Brayden, though I wanted to like Harper, she seemed like a twelve year old having a temper tantrum through most of the book. She rarely seemed to have a good reason for her reactions. For example, she's assaulted but barely mentions that then she has a full blown tantrum out in the midst of an important meeting filled with all Brayden's customers!

I just was disappointed with the story. It's certainly my all-time least favorite Kira Blakely book. It was so far from her normally intriguing tales that I wondered if she'd been intoxicated when it was written and edited or if someone ghost wrote the book.

I wouldn't waste time reading this book, she's definitely a much better writer than this book encapsulates. However, if you're into whining, it's absolutely the story for that. I highly recommend reading a different story of hers, they are usually quite fun and are filled with erotic passionate romance. I guess everyone has a few books that are not as good as the rest.

SPOILER ALERT....

I usually love books like these and I've had a good experience with Kira's other books. I could even go as far as to say I loved them. I was quite honestly really looking forward to this book. But I have to say it was just plain disappointing.

First of all her boss just straight up sexually assaulted her, in public mind you, and literally everyone just shrugs it off. Like her sister just tell her to be careful then moves on from the topic like it nothing. Her own sister! Then Brayden just lets it slide as if it doesn't even matter. Even the end of the book doesn't offer any consequence to that action. Absolutely nothing happens to the family that treated her like absolute trash while she was working for them.

Secondly, the main antagonist doesn't get what's coming for him. In fact Brayden gives him exactly what he wants. He gives Colin his whole damn company!!! I can't fathom how anyone can consider that a happy ending. He pretty much gave something he put that much time and effort to the mafia. Even though he doesn't care about the company anymore I just can't stomach the fact that he pretty much let his brother win without so much as a fight. Colin doesn't get what he deserved. He just get to walk away unscathed after all the things he did to them.

Lastly there are so many plot holes I don't think I can cover all of them. We have no idea what happened to the website she was developing. There was a point he was talking about stolen good and it was never really clarified what happened to those we simply have to assume that Collin took them. He also mentioned that one of his employees may be a rat and that didn't even get mentioned again.

Quite frankly this book was mostly just a pain reading and I still can't believe I managed. I thought the ending was somehow gonna make it a little worth while but I feel even worse after reading it.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Harper and Brayden Campbell. Harper has just had a string of bad luck lately. Her boss/boyfriend embessed from his company and ran off with all the funds for it which in turn put many people out of a job. They all blamed her not believing that she had no knowledge of what he was doing. So she takes the only job she can find that will take her home, not that she is sure this is where she should be either. There she meets up with her old high school boyfriend.Or as they say the one that got away. There is something there that has her attracted to him all over again. However she wonders can she get over her fear this time or will they just end up breaking each others hearts all over again?

Brayden can't believe it after all this time he is seeing Harper again. He wonders can it be different this time or will he loose his heart again to the woman he can't seem to keep? Brayden may have lots of money but he has secrets that he doesn't want out. Will he be able to trust Harper with them or is this just one more thing that could come between them? Will he get his HEA this time around?

This is a great story about falling in love and finding that you need to grow up to truly appreciate that love. There are many twists and turns in this book that will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Harper and Brayton used to be high school sweethearts until they broke up over sex. Harper was refusing to have it and Brayton went to another girl to get some. Their breakup was very passionate and broke Harper's heart. She now has troubles trusting men and has never been able to enjoy playtime. She got a dream job after college and thought she was set for life until her boss and boyfriend lot they company with all the money. Now everyone believes that she was involved in the scheme and she is out a job. Her only choice is to take a nanny position with a wealthy family in her hometown. When she arrives, she finds out the family is obnoxious, the kids are spoiled and they live in a hotel owned by Brayton.
Brayton had loved Harper but was too immature to wait for her in high school. When he sees Harper now, all his old feelings come back. He would like a second chance with her but they are still arguing about sleeping together. He is also feeling possessive when he sees Harper's boss making advances. When Harper is fired because she refused to be with her charges dad, Brayton offers her a job. This job would pay well but also give her time to develop the dating app that she has dreamed up. Maybe the time together will give them the second chance he wants.
This is a good book with some twists. Even though Brayton at first came across as selfish and spoiled, we got to see his softer kinder side. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. She's Mine is a second chance romance that is filled with twists and surprises at every turn. Harper is one confusing woman who heads back home for a new job. After being down on her luck and striking out at her last company she's desperate for any job which results in her becoming a nanny for a family staying at an upscale resort named Utopia. Of all the people to own and run Utopia it just so happens to be Harper's old high school lover Brayden. While it would seem the whole world is at Brayden's feet and he has more money than he knows what to do with, he is still missing something in his life that leaves him feeling lonely. After all these years these two lovers are face to face once again and Brayden can't hide the fact that his feelings for Harper have never faded.

The plot was well written and filled with enough conflicts to make this story a great page turner. Harper's character came across as all over the place which made me feel frustrated and I just didn't care too much for her. Brayden on the other hand was a fantastic character who was an alpha male and very caring. As my first experience reading Kira Blakely's work I really enjoyed it. My only disappointment would be that there were not enough steamy encounters between the two main characters. For two past lovers, I was expecting a chemistry that was off the charts. Still, I would say this was a good read that I would definitely recommend!

She's Mine is another great read by Kira Blakely! Kira has put her own unique spin on this billionaire, second chance romance. Harper Filkins and Brayden Campbell were high school sweethearts up until it was time for Brayden to graduate and leave behind a devastated Harper. Harper never planned on seeing Brayden again but life has a way of sometimes throwing a wrench in your plans.

When Harper's life is turned upside down she takes a job that brings her back home to Florida. The family she will be working for live in a luxury resort. Imagine Harper's surprise when her boss introduces her to the resort owner, Brayden Campbell! To say things don't go well for Harper in her new job would be an understatement. When Harper is left without a job and in need of help Brayden quickly offers her assistance.

Brayden is determined to make amends for his past mistakes. He hopes to pursue a relationship with Harper again. The chemistry between Harper and Brayden is scorching. As Brayden starts to tell Harper his secrets she begins to see a new side of him. Will Brayden be able to convince Harper that they deserve a second chance? I highly recommend you pick up She's Mine! You'll find yourself entertained with this funny, dramatic yet sweet second chance romance. I found myself rooting for Harper and Brayden to find their own utopia. Brayden Campbell was the youngest of three brothers. While Brayden has been successful flipping houses until he is now owner/manager of a spa named Utopia on a key close to Miami, his oldest brother, Collin, although smart, handsome and charming, has become a sociopathic a$$hole, always in trouble, and his middle brother and his wife have been killed in a car wreck, leaving Meghan in Brayden's care and Collin unaware of her existence.

Into Utopia comes Harper, Brayden's high school sweetheart that he walked out on after two years of her holding out on him. Behind him in school, she finished and went to Ohio to school, majoring in computer science, graduating and landing a great job at Cleve-Mobile along with her first relationship with the CEO, Steve Tabbott who abscounded with company funds to some off-shore island. She was no better off than the rest of the employees without a job and deep in debt. So she accepted a nanny position with a couple living in Miami who offered to pay her moving expenses and living expenses. Turns out they live in Utopia and she is introduced to Brayden immediately. Too bad things don't go well for Harper - not with Brayden, not with her employers, not with her sister, nor with Collin who shows up at Utopia.

I very much enjoyed Harper's POV - sometimes thinking so straight and true and sometimes so far off because of her parents' poor example!! But Brayden was always thinking and acting smart and admirably, like a real Hero should - lots of challenges to solve that required swift action1 Another good story by Kira. I recommend this book. This is a wonderful second chance romance, with some twists and turns that will have you turning the page to the very end. Harper takes a job as a nanny back in her home town after being left high and dry by her boyfriend who stole money from the company they worked for. On Harper's first day as a nanny she learns that the two children she'll be watching are spoiled brats and their parents are snobbish jerks who care about nothing but themselves. If that's not bad enough she finds out her high school sweetheart owns the hotel the family she works for lives in. Brayden, Harper's high school love broke her heart all those years ago when he took a different girl to the school dance and slept with said girl because he was sick of waiting for Harper to give it up to him. Harper pretends to want nothing to do with Brayden, whereas Brayden is hoping to get the one who got away. Come along for this exciting rollercoaster ride and see what happens between Harper and Brayden. Will they get back together or will Brayden's brother cause so much trouble they give up and go their separate ways again. This is an interesting story with great characters and an awesome plot. Grab it today and find out what happens.

I volunteered to read this book with the understanding I would leave an honest review on my perceptions and experience. The story begins with Harper who is down on her luck after her boss takes the businesses money and r makes a very long vacation. She us blackmailed by many other tech companies as an almost "partner in crime" but also walked out empty handed with her fellow co-workers. She takes a job as a nanny in her home town for the expense paid trip back. She saddles with two monsters who's parents aren't much better. Upon arrival she runs into her ex from high school and sparks fly but she won't let Braydon know that, she won't risk her heart again.

Braydon has become rich, connected and shocked when Harper walks into his resort. He didn't get her in high school but he will do anything to get her now. The story has the great second chance romance feel, snarky and double meaning conversations, humor and the bite of mystery. I did have a hard time connecting with Harper probably more cause she had the analytical mindframe at times and so it felt disjointed when reading, where Braydon was all feeling and you just feel his character. The story was very engaging and a really good read.

I loved the story of Braden and Harper. Two high school sweethearts who broke up but never really wanted to break up.
Braden has been successful in his adult life, He owns a wonderful resort and also his own island.
Harper was doing well as a computer programmer until the boss, her somewhat boyfriend, leaves the country and the business goes bust.
Harper returns to her hometown as a nanny who will be living in Branden's Utopia. The minute the meet the attraction is back on but can Harper believe that Braden really wants her for her and to finish something they had in high school.
I must admit there were times during this read when I wanted to smack Harper. I get it you didn't have a great role model for relationships but must you always think the worst of Braden? And the scene at the event for the opera singer I wanted to tell her she was being a baby.
As Braden and Harper try to navigate themselves back to where their hearts belong there are a few bumps in the road from outside people - namely Ripley, her boss, and Collin, Braden's no good brother. Oh yeah and Braden has a little surprise of his own.
I truly enjoyed reading this book.
I was given this book and am giving an honest voluntary review.

A second chance book about H.S. sweethearts, Brayden & Harper, who broke up when he was being a je** & cheated on her. 10 years later and she has basically hit rock bottom, losing her job & boyfriend & moving back to her home state to take a job as a nanny. When she arrives at her place of work it's at a resort and the owner is Brayden who immediately latches onto her since he never stopped thinking about her. When her job is the worst with bratty kids and the hubby propositioning her which she turns down, he fires her. Brayden is there to help her out & takes her away to his island where there is someone there she never knew about. Unfortunately his older brother is out of control and arrives to cause trouble, when he escalates not only is Harper in danger but so is someone else.
A great read with steamy scenes, some suspense and a man who has finally matured to be the best he can be to himself and for the one who got away. I enjoyed both characters but Brayden more since he seemed to be more mature and put together than Harper who at times seemed to be bratty and jumped to conclusions too fast w/o any proof....Brayden finally got through to her and the HEA was worth it.

This was an epically good book. There characters literally drew me in and I didn't put it down until I was finished. Braedyn and Harper reunited after 10 years, is it fate? They were highschool sweethearts but now they are all grown up. He has it all but her. She still has issues over what her mom used to tell her and they relationship she witnessed between her mom and dad. He owns the beautiful resort named Utopia. She lost her reputation when she lost her last job as a programmer, so now she's a nanny. She works for a hideous family with two kids who have no sense of self. They are horrible and have no manners or respect for Harper. They mother is a wannabe entitled harpy and the husband is a straight pervert. Harper learns a lot along the way and is eventually fired and Braedyn hires her. Braedyn has trouble with his immoral brother, Collin, who has no problem causing problems for what he claims is his due. He's a total jerk. He causes a fuss, spies on both Braedyn and Harper. He learns he has a niece from the brother Cory whom died with his wife in an accident when Meghan was young. Collins has finds himself in trouble and decided to kidnap his niece. So much drama. Love can carry you a long way. HEA.

She's Mine
This fast, crazy train of second chance romance involved Harper a down on her luck tech nerd, who had just come back home after her last job went belly up when the owner took off.Now forced to take any job she can to survive, she found nanny position to some stuffy rich folks who live in the Utopia an exclusive Resort.
Upon arrival to her new home with her less than stellar new bosses, she finds her predicament just became even more uncomfortable. The man who owns the exclusive resort she will be living while she takes care of the awful children she has been saddled with is none other than the Ex boyfriend who shattered her heart in high school Brayden.
All sorts of emotions are swirling in the air- she never forgave him for his treatment of her. He knew he treated her horribly, but he also still has some lingering feels of some sort going on.
Knowing she was at his resort- he is going to work his way back into her good graces one way or another. At least he hoped, Harper is a hard sell and revolving door of yes and no's.

I enjoyed this book; I loved Brayden, he seemed like he was making a genuine effort to make amends but, I have to say Harper was jumping to conclusions and her stomping off often, drove me bonkers, here this woman is about to get....... well you know, and she is being....... ANYWAY. lol

A sweet, romance me, hotness amplified, second chances and then some dramatic read that kept me awake til 2 a.m reading!
4.5 Stars From me!

When her boss runs off with the company’s fortune, Harper returns home to Miami to take a nanny position. As she follows the children’s mother into the lobby of the hotel where they live, she runs into the only guy she’s ever loved, and the one who broke her heart all those years ago in high school. As Brayden sees Harper walk into his hotel, all the old memories of their time together come rushing back, and he can’t wait to get to know this all grown up version of Harper, whose even more beautiful than he remembered.

The advance copy I read of this book isn’t my first by this author, and I’ve loved her other work so I expected to love this one. For the most part, I did. The plot was great, the story was well paced and I always enjoy a second chance romance, especially when there’s a kid thrown in. I adored Brayden and was cheering him on throughout the book. Harper had a hang up about men that resulted in one too many hissy fits for my liking. And I would have liked to see things with the antagonist tied up differently so there was no chance he could pop back up in the future. Otherwise it was a fun, entertaining read that kept my attention.

This is a great love story about a high school couple who cross paths again 10 years later. Brayden is an alpha hot sexy man who owns a top wealthy resort/spa in his hometown Miami who faught for years to become as successful as he currently is. Harper is the one who got left behind and is currently struggling due to her ex stealing all the company funds and unable to find work. Harper accepts a nanny position from a couple who live at Utopia to get home. I must say they are the worst kind of rich and their kids are a product of their parents, I really disliked them all! Once Brayden's comes across Harper he can not get her out of his mind and does what he needs to make her a part of his life. When unseen things occur he is able to show her his life and those in it does Harper take a chance to become part of his life. Brayden has an older brother Collin who is nothing but evil and does some unthinkable things to those close to Brayden. It's nice to see how Brayden fights to the end to protect Harper and those in his life! This is a great love story that is truly earned. I voluntarily received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book.

I generally enjoy the heck out of second chance romances, particularly ones that feature high school sweethearts, but this one fell a little flat for me. Don't get me wrong, it was entertaining as all get out - there was an abundance of twists and turns and highs and lows, especially for the female lead, Harper. In fact, there may have been a bit too many lows and twists for her - from her history with Brayden (who was a real jerk to break up with her for the reason he did but it happens), to the loss of her corporate job (and the drama surrounding that), to the loss of her nannying gig (AND the reason for that), and dealing with Brayden again - it was A LOT. I did enjoy the setting of Miami and the hotel and as Brayden and Harper reconnect we get to see a redeemable side of him, but I felt like I had to work through a lot to get there - as in a place where I legitimately liked him and wanted him with out heroine. After all she went through (and the utter lack of support she got while enduring her trials), I just thought she deserved better. She's Mine gets 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing it.

I enjoyed this book. Harper is a girl many can relate to. She is strong and determined to support herself, but she always questions what other people want. She had a bad example of what love is like from her childhood. She is returning back to the area she grew up in, where she runs into her high school boyfriend Brayden.

Brayden is a successful owner of the exclusive resort Utopia. He can't believe it when Harper walks into Utopia, he instantly remembers the last time he say her. She is the one girl who never have into him and the one that got away. He has alway measured all other girls to her. He has always wanted to give her everything but back in school he didn't have the means to do so.

Now Harper is working as a nanny which he knows is not using her skills at all. He can also tell she is not happy with what she is doing. Her boss fires her and she has nowhere to go so Brayden offers her a job with conditions. She hesitates to take the job, but when she learn the conditions She is all in.

A must read to find out what really happened in their past and the conditions Brayden sets for Harper for the job.
