She doesn't know whether I've rescued her or destroyed her. Neither do I.
I'm the enforcer. I collect debts, balance the scales. I'm the man she needs to pay.
When I see her alabaster skin and auburn hair, I need to possess her. To protect her. Because as much as her body is made for sin, she's an innocent in all of this. She looks at me with a take-no-sh*t fire behind her eyes. She's too naive to know how much trouble she's in.
I call her Cherry like her father did. I make up a story to protect her. But I may have just put both of us in the boss' line of fire.
I don't care. I'll take a bullet for this woman. Even if it rips right through me and tears us apart.
Push is a *steamy* stand-alone romance with no cliffhanger and an HEA. This edition includes a free copy of Dirty After Dark for a limited time.
Mmkay- So in this latest by Anne Connor, We find Cherry- trying to pay off her father's gambling debts when he ends up in the hospital. Sean is the collector for his Uncle, not wanting her to get involved with his Uncle, knowing she will not be able to come up with the interest that will be insisted upon. Sean needs to come up with a plan fast to protect her- he has been obsessed with her from afar for too long, she is a good girl who doesn't deserve the hand she has been dealt. When Sean tells Cherry they should pretend to be engaged to keep his Uncle and boys off her back, she doesn't want to do it, but she knows he is the lesser of two evils. The attraction- lust and odd feelings bubbling up between them keep nagging at them both. But this is only a temporary situation. Right? Interesting story, with plenty of dark plot twists, suspenseful moments and hot turns! I loved how Sean had such a sweet side he tried to say he didn't have! I had a hard time grasping Sean's idea of how he thought this would all end so quickly; his Uncle must have had an awful memory! This fast-paced alpha to the 9th-degree fake fiance romance is the second book I have read by this author. Looking forward to what she has in store for us next.
Awesome love story! Anne Connors outdid herself on this one. Cherry is out of her element trying to pay off her father’s gambling debt. Cherry didn’t find about the debts until after her father had a stroke and is in a coma. Sean is an enforcer sent to collect the money. Sean knows he has to do what his boss says but he wants to protect Cherry. The story starts here and only gets better. The story has fear, intimidation, demons, suspense, chemistry, twist, protective instincts, betrayal, hot sexy scenes, lust, and love. Will Cherry get out of this predicament with out getting hurt? Will Sean decide to protect Cherry? Can Sean protect Cherry? Will Cherry’s dad come out of his coma or will she loose him? Will love come out of Cherry’s and Sean’s inter-reactions? Grab a soft chair and grab on for a thrilling ride. This is the first book of Anne Connor’s that I’ve read but it won’t be the last. She takes the plot and builds it until it explodes! Her characters are fleshed out to make you feel like you know them and you are living in their world. I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.
Push grabs your attention from the first page! It's the classic story of someone who made loans with the devil...and now the devil is coming to collect his due. What do you do when the fool's daughter offers herself in payment for the debt? You'll want to read this one! Good storyline; well done characters; plot twists and turns keep you going. HEA? You know it's going to be a good one! Give it a read today...❤️ (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and really enjoyed it.) ❤️
Arc provided by author for honest review. Wow I really truly enjoyed this book. From start to finish I was inticed. I loved the plot twists and all the drama and the sexual tension was beyond sizzling. I freaken love Sean the man reminds me if best and it's so damn hot! Cherry I was bit disappointed in her when she was going to make wrong decision. If she would of gone through with it I think she would never stopped hating herself. Thsnk goodness for Sean. I would also love to know more about Ace Sean's brother.
Push is a fake fiancé romance that features some mobster style violence, some sexy scenes and a HEA.
Push is the first book by Anne Connor that I have read and I thought it was good but I wasn't blown away. I would be happy to read another book by her though as I thought that there was enough in the storyline and writing style to warrant another chance. Not the best I've read in this genre but worth a read if you like fake fiancé romances with added danger.
The author kindly provided a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I loved reading the outstanding and amazing romance story by the phenomenal author Anne Connor. Cherry has to pay off her father's gambling debts and before she knows it, the Enforcer, Sean, saves her and wants her for himself. The chemistry between the two is off the charts and when feelings for each other start to surface, all bets are off. Read the highly recommended, engaging and captivating wonderfully written story, and a must read love story.
A story of two people being able to save each other and fall for each other in the process. Can a person be bad and good at the same time? Life can completely change in the blink of an eye. This truly is a wonderful quick read and an attention grabber, you will not want to put it down. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book.
PUSH - Is a really great story. It's full of suspense, some twists and turns and oh yeah some really hot scenes. The characters were well developed. You won't want to miss reading this book. I just couldn't put it down... I received an ARC for my honest review.
Great story that pulled me in from the beginning. It is fast paced but flows smoothly. Sean and Cherry are wonderful characters with great chemistry. They really come together and help each other ;out. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Sean is the ultimate bad boy! He’s knows he’s not good enough for Cherry but he will die for her to keep her safe. Cherry knows her father’s debt must be paid but what will she do if it’s not enough?
This is my first Anne Connor book and I really enjoyed the dual point of view, the setting and especially the build up to a grand conclusion. Pick up Push tonight and fall into the depth of bad vs. love with Sean and Cherry.
