'Magic & Mischief', third in the Starry Hollows Witches series, is a fast fun read.
This time out Ember is trying to find out why people in Starry Hollow are facing their worst nightmares, and why has she been present on every occasion?
As with the previous two books the mystery serves mainly to provide an ending - in fairness the solution is unusual.
It is professionally written, with information being doled out slowly over the series, so, for example, we are not much closer to finding out about Ember's parents than we were in the first book, nor who, if anyone, she will choose to get romantically involved with.
It has an interesting cast of characters and a good sense of humour, along with a number of magical set pieces along the way.
I'll keep reading the series as long as my interest continues but, somehow, I doubt I'll finish all eleven books.
