Steven was used to women falling at his feet. But where once he would have relished to see a woman there, any woman, nearly losing Sally in an attack on the club woke him up. Now he can’t imagine life without her. The biggest problem is she’s Whizz’s adopted daughter—but there’s also an age gap between them. Everyone sees her as part of The Skulls’ “kids”, even though she’s in college, and old enough to make her own decisions.
When Sally’s best friend, Drew, makes his intentions known, she knows there’s no competition. She’s always loved Steven, starting from her girlish crush at fifteen, now to full-blown love as a woman.
Neither Sally nor Steven can deny their attraction. It’s there, always close to the surface, and Steven can’t take not having her. But can Drew prove that he’s the one for Sally? Can she bring herself to break Drew’s heart? And what will Sally do when she realizes her past is coming back to haunt her, and that it was Steven who opened the door?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
So happy with the way Steven and Sally's story turn out! Steven finally woke up and went after Sally even with her father around.. lol. Love this series
I think everyone that has started this journey with The Skulls have been waiting for Steven and Sally. And I don't think we were disappointed.
Steven knew that he wasn't good enough for Sally. But who would take care of her, protect her and look after all her needs better than him. Not even her best friend Drew who he knew was in love with her. (Even though she couldn't see it) And this was proven again when Sally's past came back not in the way you would think, but drudging up all the hurt and emotions from back then. How will she react when she finds out that Steven has looked into her past and in his protective way is trying to right all the wrongs. But not just her past is standing in the way, can Sally seem to let go of her insecurities and just be happy or will everything just be too much for her.
Loved this story, loved Steven even more after reading this story and a bit sad that this is the end of The Skulls, but also the beginning of a new era and can't wait to see what will happen when Simon and Tabitha finally get together!!!
Another great book by Sam Crescent. I'm never disappointed with anything that Sam Crescent writes. The Skulls books are my all time favorite books to read. Love the hot chemistry between Steven and Sally.
It's seems like I was waiting for Steven and Sally story forever. It didn't disappointed. Another good addition to the series, I love so much.
I love Steven. I love every hero who is ready to forsake anything, even the club, to be with his girl, to make her happy. He was patient, loyal, protective. But despite that Steven was amazing with Sally, he did got himself in the doghouse for a while. You know what is saying about good intentions. On the other hand, you may think that Sally overreacted over all the circumstances. Though, it wasn't exactly how I saw. I don't think it was a biggy that Steven wanted to slay her monsters from the past. Actually, on the contrary. And on this she overreacted. But for him to let her go without a hint of warning to have questions thrown at her about her past, that was a fuck up. Being a couple is about having each other's back, not letting to be blindsided. Lucky for both of them everything got resolved. Though, I didn't liked how she felt, when Sally had time to think about what happened and she started to think that she overreacted... I disliked how she compared herself to hers abusers. She was far from it. How she could even think about it, that just boggled my mind and made me angry. Good thing Steven took care of her thinking like that. I'm going to repeat myself. God, Steven was awesome.
In previous books I didn't think much of Drew. I didn't liked him, didn't disliked him. He was just someone that need to ruffle Stevens feathers, where Sally was concerned. But in this book I fell for Drew. OMG That guy is everything! I hope Drew will get his book. He so need HEA. And if Sam can't find a girl for him, I'm offering myself on the silver platter. LOL.
I liked reading Steven & Sally's story. After all they've been through (especially Sally), they truly deserved this happily ever after!
Steven... You remaining celibate for YEARS before getting with Sally... *le sigh* I love how you took things slow with Sally but still remained a constant fixture in her life.
Sally... I admire how you dealt with all the hardships in your life & loved how straight-up you were with Drew, in telling him you were only interested in friendship with him.
I also really liked getting more Angel/Lash time! And learning those intriguing facts about Adam... *fans herself*
Not super interested in the Michael Granito dealings... I imagine they'll continue with it throughout the next books somehow but I'll cross my fingers that it won't be a prominent storyline.
Looking forward to more of the kids' books in the future! Daisy/Anthony & Simon/Tabitha are going to be a lot of fun!!
3.5, wasn't my favorite of the series, but still a good read. I trouble with the characters and the plot that went along with it. I couldn't find the connection with the characters. They felt like I was missing something, but I still can't put my figure on what. The plot was good, but I again felt like it was missing something. Parts of the book felt forced.
Steven has been in love with Sally since she was a teenager. He stayed away as much as he could until she was grown and of legal age. Now he is staking his claim, but he has to contend with her best friend Drew who is also in love with her. Sally has wanted Steven since the moment she met him. She has grown up in foster care and has been sexually abused in every home that she was placed in. Now that Whizz and Lacey have adopted her she finally has a home where she feels safe. In a previous book you find out that she was shot and lost her leg. She has had so many tragedies happen to her but she finally feels like things have turned around for her. When her past comes back in a way she didn't expect she is hurt and lashes out at the ones who have done everything they could to protect her. Will their betrayal push her to far? Always a great read when you pick up one of the Skull books and pretty much any thing this author writes.
2.5 I didn't care for this one as much as I wanted to. It's not necessarily the age cap but that she was young at the time the crush began. I actually thought in a few of the previous books it was a bigger cap then 9-10 years in age but I could be wrong. I remember him being with club girls while Sally had a crush on him. I'm assuming it all stopped once he started seeing her as a woman but I didn't like that. If he even thought Sally had a crush on him (even though she denied it) be discreet and don't hook up or flirt with the club whores when she's around. Didn't like the sneaking around behind Whizz's back. Lacey's story still breaks my heart. I sure hope poor Drew gets an HEA.

I absolutely loved Steven and Sally's story it was heartwrenching and hard to read at times but Sally overcomes her past through the love of her parents Whizz and Lacie then her long time crush Steven plus her best friend Drew but most of all the love and support from her Skulls family!!! I absolutely love this series and I can't wait for the Skulls kids to get their own stories!!!
This is a forbidden romance between a troubled young woman and her adoptive father’s MC brother. I have loved reading this relationship develop over the course of the series. It was a truly lovely book to read with heartache and past traumas to overcome. I loved the over the top protectiveness of Whizz the father. I was sad to see Drew be hurt but it was nicely played out.
I'm never disappointed with Sam when I read her skull series! And never disappoint with her other series either... I don't do reviews very much because I'm not good at it!! I will say if you read this book it's worth the money! but I love the skulls so I'm never disappointed...
Steven and Sally *sigh* If you area fan of Sam Crescent, you have been waiting for this !! And she never disappoints !! Bringing the club together and catching up with everyone was like visiting family. If you're new to Sam, this series is much more fun from the beginning , Lash. Add in the Chaos Bleeds MC and you have some fantastic MUST reads 💛💛
While his book was mainly about Steven and Sally falling in love, the background storyline drove the book. I enjoyed how you could see the transformation of the club. It was nice to see the progression of all the characters for the most part.
I would love to see how the Skull kids and Chaos Bleeds kid grow up.
I'm so happy for this couple. Sally loved Steven for years. He accepted her just like she is. Took him awhile but once he realized it nothing got in his way. Loved it.
I know all the skulls have had their sweet moments but this was the sweetest. So very happy Sally and Steven finally got together. And the kids are in high school already, so excited for where this series is going!
What a great book!! I just absolutely loved it! I love this series and I can't wait to read the next book!!! A definite must read!!! Happy Reading!!!! :)
Steven is another good addition to the The Skulls series. Crescent will always be one click author for me. I am hoping we get of The Skulls. Happy Reading!!!!
My heart went out to Sally with all she went through but she is a fighter and survivor. Steven thought he almost loss his love to Drew but Sally only wanted him.
