Pride makes him bold enough to covet her.

Ali is a notorious thief, skilled enough to steal whatever his heart desires—except what it desires most. Anara. His fellow criminal would never let him get so close if she suspected he knew who she truly was. But a man can only resist temptation for so long…

Prejudice cannot hide passion forever.

Princess Anara is a tiger shifter obsessed with redeeming her race. With fierce determination, she’s stealing back the sacred objects of her people, the loss of which cost them the ability to safely convert their mates. Nothing and no one will stand in her way—not even a relentless thief who sees more than he should, and says more than she’s ready to hear…

Duty and love both demand sacrifice.

A dark sorcerer inadvertently gives Ali the leverage he needs to demand Anara’s hand in marriage. He’ll get the wife he’s coveted for so many years, and she will get the chance to finally explore the passion that she’s denied herself for too long. But even with a djinn’s magic at their fingertips, happiness is no guarantee. That which is easily gained is just as easily lost. If they want a future together, they’ll have to fight for it…

Jennifer Blackstream is a USA Today bestselling author of urban fantasy and paranormal romance. She is amazed and grateful to have made a writing career out of a Master’s degree in Psychology, hours of couch-detecting watching Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, and endless research into mythology and fairy tales. She firmly believes that whether it’s a village witch deciding she wants to be a private investigator, or a single mother having a go at being a full time writer, it’s never too late for a new adventure.

A fervent devotee of cooperative board games, Jennifer sets aside at least two nights a week for team-based adventures such as Mice & Mystics, Sentinels of the Multiverse, or Harry Potter: Battle at Hogwarts. She uses games with dice-based mechanics to lure in her ridiculously lucky-rolling son and daughter in the hope that they too will develop a passion for cooperative escapism.

Jennifer currently has three series going:

A copy of this book was generously provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Again, Jennifer Blackstream does it!! She creates such a fantasy world - one in which I end up losing myself in every time I read one of her books.

I absolutely LOVED Ali and Anara and the chemistry they shared - from the moment I read the first page, I knew that I found a book that I would be staying up all night reading. Each of Ms. Blackstream's books suck me in and hold my attention (and my breath) until the last page.

Books like this where the male lead demands a relationship with the female and doesn't stop until he gets what he wants is where my heart melts and beats so much faster.

I can't wait to find out the next story that Ms. Blackstream has dreamed up and put her magic into words!

This isn’t my favorite in the series, but it was still enjoyable! I really liked the competition between the H&h and find their attraction believable. The conflict was strong and well written as were the villains. I have read the entire Blood Prince series and now the whole spin-off Blood Realm series. I have enjoyed reading each one as they come out and always eagerly anticipate the next one. They can all be read as standalones if you skip the prologues and epilogues, which I honestly skim through anyways. I really couldn’t care less about the whole “Hidden Kingdom” plot. WARNING: there is sex in this book, it is not erotica, but enough to be a steamy & hot adult romance. Blackstream usually sticks to just 1 scene towards the end of each book. Please do not read if you are looking for something PG. Romance-5/5 Steaminess-4/5 Explicitness-3/5

Stolen Wish is Jennifer Blackstream’s latest paranormal retelling of a well-known fairy tale. This time she’s taken on Aladdin, but the main focus is more on the princess than the young thief. Anara is a princess and a tiger shifter, and has dedicated her life to recovering the stolen treasures of her people. She’s hopeful that doing so will please the goddess, and allow her people to once again grow in numbers. Ali is a thief who is enamored with Anara, following her on her escapades in order to spend time with her, pretending he doesn’t know she is actually the princess. Anara returns Ali’s affections, but knows she must wed a much more powerful man to continue her line.

Bahram, a sorcerer, visits Ali and his widowed mother claiming to be Ali’s uncle. He says he wants Ali to help him find a great treasure, but of course he really wants to use Ali to recover the magic lamp holding a very powerful jinn. Bahram gets a commitment from Anara to wed him if he can deliver on a promise to return all of the lost treasures. He plans to use the jinn to do so, and fulfill his delusions of gaining great power himself. Bahram tries to double cross Ali in retrieving the lamp holding the jinn but Ali manages to get control of a lesser jinn and the powerful one. Ali’s greatest wish is to use the jinn to become worthy of marrying Anara. Two men who want one woman for very different reasons. Great drama is sure to ensue.

Once again Blackstream delivers an engaging story with familiar characters but with a lot of enjoyable new twists. Her books are really great reads that are fun to explore, and as with other includes an epilogue that promises there is much more action to come. I can’t wait for the next installment in the series. In my opinion the series is best read in order.

Stolen Wish book 5 in the Blood Realm Series by Jennifer Blackstream for me is a four star read.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I have really enjoyed it. Even though at first I found it hard to connect with the book I soon found I was getting along better with it. It has lots of surprises, twists and turns and constantly keeps you guessing what is going to happen which I like. The characters were extremely well done and relatable. I really enjoyed this book and would love to read this one over and over again. For a subject that is becoming vastly over used this author has given this subject a whole new breath of life. Amazing work. I read this in one sitting as I could not bare to put it down.

I love how the whole storyline has been portrayed. The story makes sure you stay on the edge of your seat. Such a gripping, nail biting read that will leave you wanting to turn those pages till you have devoured the entire book. It will definitely leave you wanting to one click all of this authors books. I'm going to be keeping my eye on this one for sure. I hope you all love the book as much as I did. Good read. I'm looking forward to see what else this author can come up with.

I will definitely be recommending this authors work to friends and family. A really enjoyable read

Reviewed on Behalf of Book Addict live,
Stolen Wish is a story is a Blood Realm Novel, and the first story I have read from this series and it won’t be the last. The story was based on Ali Baba and the 40 thieves. Ali is a thief that always crossing paths with a beautiful thief Anara. Ali had discovered she was a princess, but couldn’t help following to make sure she got home safe. Princess Anara is a Caspian, a special breed of tiger shifter created by the Goddess herself.
The Princess only steals items that came from the Goddess and returns them home. What she doesn’t know is evil is watching and needs the Princess to enter Blood realm. This is a great adventure with magic and Mayhem and the lowly man wins the heart of the Princess with his love and valour. I loved it and enjoyed every minute. I now have to read the series as I am hooked.

I was asked by the author for an honest review.

3 Stars

Princess Anara is a first rate thief, but shhh...no one can know. In her nightly activities she crosses paths with Ali, a novice of the same occupation. She rebuffs him, but when he finds himself in possession of a bit of leverage and able to claim her hand in marriage, she lets him know what she truly thinks of him. Now they must work together, because the leverage he has came by way of a dark Sorcerer and he's none too happy to have Ali usurp him.

Stolen Wish reminded me strongly of Disney's Aladdin with its tale of Djinn and magic, but Jennifer added her own unique twist with the Caspians. This is the fifth book in her Blood Realm series, and while it's stated that this book can be read as a standalone there were parts that were confusing as they weren't explained with any background or backstory. However, I did enjoy the characters and the way they each had their strengths and weaknesses.

Anara is a Caspian tiger shifter and a thief. She has been carrying on her mother's work getting back the treasures of the Goddess that were stolen and scatted years before. There is another thief she often finds herself with. He must never find out who she is.
Ali is the son of a tailor and a petty thief. He knows who the beautiful woman thief is but not why she does it. She certainly doesn't need the money.
This is wonderful fun. A twist on the tale of Ali Baba. So there is one place where you know what's coming ,but the rest of the story is very different. There are many magical beings involved with our brave human hero. The only sex scene is a little kinky but quite mild. This is part of a series but easily read as a stand alone. It will however make you want the rest of the books. I can't wait to read more. I loved it.

This has an Arabian feel and the basic story is Aladdin and the lamp. Though in this case the sorcerer is his uncle (?) who wants him to get the lamp for him. Princess Roshanara is a tiger shifter and a thief trying to find and restore her family stolen treasures that are needed to reclaim her family’s power.

The two of them get off to rocky start due to presumptions on each of their sides. Instead of guessing what the other was thinking they should have asked or given them the benefit of the doubt. Would have saved a lot of times and heartache.

I love the firebird and the jinns. They’re very wise and know how to handle their master’s stupid whims. And like most people they appreciate good manners.

Footnote: 1) This story line continues in the series 'Blood Trails'.

Fave scenes: Anara’s cart inventory, Ali’s first wish to the lamp, Anara counting and the pit.

Another amazing read from Jennifer Blackstream. This is a new version of the classic Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, Anara is a Caspian tiger shifter and is a thief. She is stealing back artifacts that were taken from her family that are needed to save her race. She continually runs into a petty thief named Ali. They are both keeping secrets from each other and then there has to be a villain and his sidekick!! The This story had all the necessary elements needed for a wonderful read. Jennifer did a fabulous job putting a new twist on an old classic. Aladdin was always a favorite of mine and now I have an adult version!

Princess Anara turns thief carrying on the legacy that her mother started trying to return all of the sacred treasures that were stolen from her people. She is just interested in returning what was stolen unlike Ali who is a common, petty thief and a human to boot. As a tiger shifter the Princess has an advantage over Ali and she exploits that. Finding out that Anara is the princess doesn't stop Ali from coveting her. She has a duty to her race of tiger shifters even if that goes against what her heart desires. A dark sorcerer demands Anara's hand in marriage in exchange for the return of a priceless artifact. Then Ali "steals" the lamp the dark sorcerer was after and his world just changed. Even with the advantage of Ali having the lamp will Anara and Ali have a relationship and get married?

This book is a wonderful tale of two thieves. Thieves that fall in love and long for each knowing that they will never be together because of their stations in life. One just a petty thief trying to provide for his mother. The other a princess, a weretiger, trying to regain the Caspian treasures lost. Then the "uncle" appears and changes the game. The uncle a great sorcerer tries to trick the princess in to marrying him. Does she marry the man she loves or the one who wishes to control her?

What a whirlwind story! A tigress with a mission, a thief with a conscience, a villain with a hilarious sidekick who in truth is on the heroes' side and a mysterious dark god with hidden intentions - all put together in an oriental setting re-living the Aladdin tale... sparkling, glimmering, splendid, with romance and excitement, not a book to put down!

A tigress with a mission, a thief with a conscience, a villain with a hilarious sidekick who in truth is on the heroes' side, and a mysterious dark god with hidden intentions. Sounds like fun to me! I enjoyed this take on Aladdin and tiger shifters. This book is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone!

I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is like the story of Aladdin, but with a twist. Ali is a thief and Anara is a princess. She is also a tiger shifter.

The story kept me entertained and guessing. I enjoyed both characters and their romance.
