y Barker has been dancing through the last thirty years of his life-and he's suddenly realized he's alone. She has a job at Silver Creek that requires her to be able to ride a horse, and she nearly tramples Ty at her first lesson. Ty realizes River Lee needs time to settle into her new job, her new home, her new life as a single parent, but going slow has never been his style. But for River Lee, can Ty take the necessary steps to keep her in his life?

Ty and River dated briefly years ago, but then River moved. Now she’s back in town and Ty is determined not to let her get away this time. I really liked Ty and River together and was cheering for their relationship to work out. However there were a couple things that really bothered me throughout. River was so protective of her children, but then she sends them off to their father’s for a long visit even though he has had no contact with them for over a year and not much before. It seemed hard to believe a mom like River would do this with such young children. The other thing that bothered me was that River and Ty didn’t really talk in depth about their feelings and hopes for the future, but instead it felt like one wanted to other to just accept their plans. This stubbornness ruined their relationship but the time apart allows them to reflect on their feelings and figure out what would be best for them. Can they rekindle their relationship and create a future together? I enjoyed the return to Horseshoe Home Ranch, catching up with characters from previous book but also getting to know Ty and following his journey.
(I received an ARC of this book from the author; opinions expressed in this review are my honest opinion and completely my own.)
Ty Barker realizes that life is steadily passing him by. The other cowboys his age are all getting married and the single women are all much younger. Consequently, he fills his time with community service projects. But, when he sees that the girl that he gave his heart to years ago has returned, he wonders if there's hope yet for him.
River Lee Whitely has returned to Gold Valley. But, she's not the same girl who left years ago. She's now a divorced, single mom of 2 young daughters. She feels broken and in need of healing. When she encounters Ty at her job at Silver Creek, she wonders why she ever left.
As Ty and River Lee get reacquainted, can they achieve a lasting relationship? Can River Lee come to terms with her past and move forward? Or will she push Ty away?
What follows is a sweet story of second chances. It also delves into the emotional turmoil that can happen after divorce.
It's not a perfect story and I would have liked a better ending, but I still liked it overall. I liked the character growth of River Lee - how she came to terms with her past and how she was allowing it to negatively affect her.
Romance - PG, kissing Language - PG / Clean My rating - 4.5 stars

This is such a sweet and inspiring story. But I should know by now that crying before I reach the end of one of Liz Isaacson's titles is just a guaranteed fact of life. It hurt my heart watching Ty and River Lee struggle so hard to get out of their own way and grab their chance at happiness. These characters came alive for me. I could feel River Lee's insecurities following the ending of her marriage and Ty's despair that River might never make him a priority in her life. And when the two of them were at their most stubborn, I'm so glad Ty's sister and River's therapist were on hand to help them find sense again. 'Cause I was about ready to knock a couple of heads together to help them see the light. I found the messages of trust, patience, and second chances that are within this book to be uplifting. And it renews my faith that there's always hope no matter how hopeless the situation seems at the time. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
UNDER THE BRIDGE Gold Valley Romance Series # 6 by Liz Isaacson Ty singing to his heart's content, loving Gold Valley and taking care of his parents. Considered horses his friends. Pompeii was being riden by someone from the past, River, she goes by now. He was to be her instructor and she needed to learn to keep her job. She's back home with her mom, and with her two girls. Time has flown by, and all River and him had spent was one summer together, and one kiss. Yet, now that she is back, everyone is commenting and smiling at him. What would it do to keep her here and maybe with him, he was tired of being alone. A good story of rebuilding one's life after divorce, of what was best for her and her girls. A chance at love once again .Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
"Under the Bridge" is a tale about the rambunctious cowboy Ty and the lovely River Lee, who had once shared a kiss under the stars but then went their separate ways until adulthood. I must say though that this story was not one of my favorites due to the slowness of the story-line, I kind of felt like this story was just drawing together loose ends in reference to the other novels in the series.
I would just like to say that there are over 6 books in this series (so far), and I am not normally a fan of series that run this long (unless they really hold your attention); however, Mrs. Isaacson grabs your attention with the multiple characters throughout the many novels and manages to keep them all tied together without having to repeat herself a multitude of times throughout each story. Wonderful job, if you enjoy one, you will enjoy all of them.

Ty and River Lee had a summer fling the summer before she left for college. Twelve years later, she returns to Gold Valley divorced with two young girls. Ty has never dated anyone longer than a few weeks because he never felt anything for anyone since that kiss he shared with River Lee that summer twelve years ago. Now she is using the girls as a shield so she won't have to deal with things she doesn't want to. As she and Ty become closer she gets scared of what them getting together will do to the girls. Will Ty convince her that they will be fine together or will River Lee break things off with him because of the girls? They both have to lean on their faith more than they ever have to get through this but will it be enough
Ty has dated many women but cannot seem to find the one he wants to settle down with, especially as he is approaching 30 and all his friends are married with children. He realizes he has been waiting for the one that got away, River. River is returning home with her two small girls after a year long divorce. She does not expect to need companionship, but Ty makes her breathless. River has many things to figure out, she never took the time to do so when she split from her husband. I was frustrated with a decision River made concerning her girls and her ex, he only has visitation and has made no effort to see them since they separated over a year ago. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I thought the writing as always was very good. Love the stories about Horseshoe Home, Silver Creek and Three Rivers Ranch. Without giving away the story, there were a couple of things that bothered me about the story. River Lee's husband has not seen their kids for two years. Yet when he calls and wants them for the holidays because he is getting married. She just lets them go. It says earlier that he has had nothing to do with her or the girls when they were married. They never saw him. She has tried to be so protective about her girls since the divorce, I found it a little hard to believe. She also doesn't want to marry Ty, because it might be too much for the girls. Ty would be the best thing for her and the girls, they are crazy about him.
I just love these trips to Gold Valley! Liz Isaacson is a brilliant author, writing such authentic, memorable characters carving extraordinary experiences out of ordinary lives. In this book, Ty and River get a second chance at exploring the attraction they felt in high school when River takes riding lessons from Ty. I love how they honestly deal with the issues that make them hesitate to move forward with a new relationship, and I liked how patient Ty was with River while she got herself and her daughters settled after their move. These books are all so beautifully heartwarming, easy to read with a captivating cast and a delightful affirmation of a simple, family-focused life. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
We're back in Gold Valley with the cowboys of Horseshoe Ranch. River has returned home from Las Vegas after nine years, divorced and with two young daughters in tow, to start a job as a counsellor in Silver Creek, and reconnects with a high school crush Ty. I have to admit to finding Ty the least likeable of the Gold Valley heroes. A flirt who has dated nearly every eligible female under thirty, and thinks nothing of breaking up in a church. However once again the romance is sweet and River has two adorable daughters who cause mischief and worry the way only young children can. Again there is plenty of food and baked goods mentioned, why?!! Now I need to go eat cookies, which is no good for the size of my behind!!! A sweet romance with another woman just doing her best to get by.
Ty and River Lee spent a wonderful summer together after graduation from high school but it all ended when River Lee left for college. She got married and had 2 daughters but is now divorced and has returned to Gold Valley. She has taken a job as a girls counselor at a camp and is required to be able to ride a horse for her job. The camp has provided a teacher for her and it is none other than Ty. He never left Gold Valley and has never forgotten River Lee. They are still attracted to one another but a lot of life has happened since high school. Can they find a way to make it work?
Liz has done it again. Her characters are lovable and realistic. This is a great story of second chance love.

Under the bridge is a sweet read that will make you think about your own life and how you keep yourself from reaching for what you really want in life. Ty and River are a very sweet couple who have history. Their love story started years ago and then life happened. This is a second chance love story and it is very well written. Liz develops characters that you really want to know, want to be friends with and find yourself rooting for. River has been wronged by someone she trusted and she has two little girls to think of. Ty has been in a holding pattern, without even knowing, since River left town years ago. They seem to pick up where they left off then have to face the obstacles life has given them. This is a really good book, couldn't put it down.
This is a great book. I read it in one day. Sometimes we make our own life miserable and try to use something or someone else to blame. River Lee and Ty Barker knew each other in high school but River went off to college. Now she is back in Gold Valley and it seems like they will get back together. Although Ty sees River as the same girl, a lot has changed for both of them. With two girls and an ex-husband, River feels does not need a man in her life permanently. Working together on the same ranch changes that idea, but River cannot seem to push her issues "under the bridge" in order to find a happy ever after. Can she figure out who is in the way?
Love is hard, but when 'the one' slips away, it makes love even harder to find again. After years of struggling to find love again, Ty gets the chance when the one that got away returns. But now even this presents a challenge as she is a divorcee with two girls. Will love be able to heal broken hearts? Or will the pain of time be too much for them to rekindle the loss of their love?
Under the Bridge is the sixth book in the Gold Valley Romance series. It shows how much love and loss can change a person's life. I really enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend it.
Awesome story! I adore these wonderful cowboy love stories that Liz Isaacson does. This story of the ranch hand who hasn't settled down finding love with the high school sweetheart that he let get away. It's a story that will make you believe in real love, a love that overcomes all past obstacles, that brings a sweet blessing to your life that you always wonder how you got so lucky. I enjoyed this book Under the Bridge, and I highly recommend it. You will want to read it every second until the end to find out what happens to this sweet couple.
Sometimes when we are wrong and stubborn we need to let it go like water under the bridge. I liked this story. The characters fell in love but then through their stubbornness they split up and it took a while for them to admit they were both wrong. But the time apart gave them plenty of time to reflect on what they wanted to find their happy ending. I received a complimentary copy and my review is voluntary.
Fantastic addition to this series. Young love reunited 30 years later. After a painful divorce River Lee and her two young daughters return to Gold Valley and her parents home. Ty has dated every eligible woman in town but has never been able to get over his love for River Lee. Will they, as adults, be able to rekindle their love. Read to find out! Excellent sweet clean read I would recommend for all.
This story about River Lee and Ty shows their relationship as teenagers and then again years later when she returns to her home town divorced with two young daughters. I love that it shows all the different dynamics between them and how they have to look beyond themselves for help and pray to God for His answer to their relationship. This story has lots of depth to it and was a wonderful time spent reading.
The final book in the Gold Valley Series is the story of Ty, the heart breaker of Horseshoe Home and best friend of Caleb & Jace.
At 17 Ty fell in love with River Lee who left Gold Valley and broke his heart. No girl since has been able to capture his heart. Now 13 years later she's back, divorced with two little daughters.
Can Ty overcome his reputation and can River Lee get past her husbands betrayal?
Again Liz has woven a great story, hard to put down.

This is a beautiful romance between Ty, a cowboy and River Lee, a single mother. This a book about second chances and learning what are your priorities in life. I loved the book, the characters and the setting of Gold Valley and Horseshoe Home This book is recommended for those who love Christian romance. A copy of the book was given to me by the author. My opinions are100% my own.
Ty and River Lee liked each other in high school. Ty is feeling a little left out because all of his friends are married/getting married/and or starting a family. River Lee is gun shy because of her ex. Can these two have a second chance? Really enjoy seeing the characters from previous books in this series. Love how Ty teases River Lee.

This is book 6 in the Gold Valley Romance series. It can be read as a standalone or part of the series. Ty and River dated when they were younger and then River left town. Ty has always liked her so when she moved back to town they started dating. This is a clean romantic read well worth your time.
A clean happy read of love lost & found again. I find this author very easy to read & binge read at that lol If ever you’re in the mood for a light, clean romantic read that still keeps you grounded in reality then this is the author for you. This book is part of series but can still be read independently.
This was a good story about divorce and trying to move forward. It was a clean romance with two characters that needed to sort out their feelings and figure out what they want in their lives. Another great read in the series.
Ty and River Lee, high school sweethearts reunited after several years. She has 2 children and a divorce. He has never married and has no children. What will happen when they try the relationship again. Great book from a truly great author.
I’ve really enjoyed the Gold Valley series and this book #6 is no exception. Some characters from previous books in this series is brought forward in this story about Ty and River Lee and how they work through past issues to find the love that started back in high school. Great read.
Wow, Ty and a River Lee's story didn't disappoint. As always, the issues touched on real life and were dealt with in a loving and respectful way while still creating an interesting story. I am really enjoying all of the current Liz Isaacson series and look forward to reading even more.
