This book brings readers through the life of a homeless woman and shows how she is not that much different from us. Throughout this book readers are able to see the story of the woman's life unfold. We are able to see her life before she was homeless and how she ended up living the way she is. This is an important book to have inside a classroom library since it introduces students to homeless people, and how they are often not that different from us. A lot of time society teaches that we should be scared of homeless people because they are so dangerous, so I believe this book is a great reminder that sometimes people just end up on the streets because they fall on hard times.
