About the author

Annamaria Pinter

Annamaria Pinter is a lecturer at the Centre for English Language Teacher Education at the University of Warwick, UK. Originally she comes from Hungary where she worked in a teacher training college specialising in ELT for young learners. She had several years of experience of teaching children of all ages in both state primary schools and private language schools in Hungary. For the last decade she has worked in the UK with international students at MA level, teaching courses related to ELT for young learners such as the psychology of language learning and teaching and materials and course design and evaluation for young learners.

She has supervised a wide variety of dissertations in the area of classroom research with young learners. She has also run practical workshops and training courses for teachers and teacher trainers both at Warwick and overseas and has a keen interest in teacher development. Her PhD research was about the benefits of task-based learning for children in EFL contexts.

The book is good, but it’d be better to check the next, updated edition.

En god fagbok. Godt blandet av repetisjon, enkel ped og både fremoverlent og bakoverlent forskning. Tror denne skal bli fin å bruke til eksamen!!!

Good book for teachers in a school classroom. For me the first 5 chapters were a good review. I am going to read those again. I work mainly with speech, so that is my focus when I read. I don't use worksheets and such so ours is all active learning. There is something here for everyone though no matter what style or focus you have.

Easy to read if you have teaching experience. Covers all the significant areas of teaching English to YL.

Good introduction to teaching English to young learners with lots of practical suggestions embedded into the theory. Lots of suggestions for further reading too.

تركز على دراسات تدعم كلامها، أنشطة ممكن المعلم يسويها للطلاب.
