The Mixx editions of Parasyte romanize his name as "Hitosi Iwaaki", while the Del Rey Manga editions use "Hitoshi Iwaaki".
In 1993, he received the Kodansha Manga Award for Parasyte. He was a finalist for the 2005 Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize Grand Prize for Historie. In 2010 Historie took the grand prize in the manga division of the 2010 Japan Media Arts Festival.

Anche questo numero è dedicato alle battaglie, ora a quella di Cheronea però finisce sul più bello e chissà quanto dovremo aspettare per il n°10.
Segnalo una frase che mi è piaciuta:
Considerazioni generali sulla serie
Il tratto di Iwaaki è pulito, le tavole non sono mai confusionarie, il suo stile mi piace. La storia è tratteggiata bene e può seguirla chiunque perché l'autore è molto preciso nelle spiegazioni sia militari che politiche. La serie è bella ed è con l'ultimo numero che inizia a farsi veramente interessante. La cosa che non mi è piaciuta è stata proprio quella di inserire Efestione in Alessandro e, per quanto il protagonista della storia non sia Alessandro ma Eumene, questa cosa non mi piace. Una scelta del genere dal mio punto di vista ha fatto perdere a tutta la serie almeno una stella. Vedremo come proseguirà la storia perché questa decisione la influenzerà e secondo me molto, forse troppo. Vedremo.

Il tratto di Iwaaki è pulito, le tavole non sono mai confusionarie, il suo stile mi piace. La storia è tratteggiata bene e può seguirla chiunque perché l'autore è molto preciso nelle spiegazioni sia militari che politiche. La serie è bella ed è con l'ultimo numero che inizia a farsi veramente interessante.
