I picked up this kids’ chapter book while visiting the Model Village on my trip to Bourton on the Water. I decided to read it before giving it to my grandson. What fun! Roy and Bruce have quite the action packed adventures in this story. And what’s not to love about talking alpacas and a sheep that thinks it’s an alpaca? Add a witch and some jackdaws and trouble is brewing at Christmas time. At the heart of this story is a lesson in standing up for your community and being brave.

Picked this middle grade story up in Bourton on the Water in England a couple of years ago as a souvenir. I just read it. It was fun, fast paced...and takes place in England. What's not to love? Plus there are talking alpacas and a sheep who thinks he's an alpaca. And witches!

I thought it was an interesting book but I didn't like all the characters. i don't think I'll be reading teh rest of the series and it wasn't necessary to understand the third mystery.
