This book was pretty different from normal erotica. It is a beautiful but heart wrenching story of survival full of emotions, twists & turns and shocking moments. This book may not be for everyone just a heads up the girl (Ellie) in the book gets raped but it does not go into detail of the actual rape.

Oh boy did I love this book! I can't wait to read more from this author. This story is GRITTY and DIRTY and not in good ways. This poor heroine! She was very well written and I totally loved her character. There is a big secret that I refuse to spoil but when I found it out, it made this story jump straight to 5 stars for me. I don't want to give anything away and I really can't write anymore without doing so. If you love a strong Alpha, a great easy going heroine, great supporting characters and one great surprise, you will love this book!

Holy hotness! Ellie is not your usual whiny spoiled rich girl, which is why I loved her! She was strong and had to overcome a lot that no one should have to endure. Her choices to rise from the ashes in ways most would not was amazing and made the story so much better for it. Now onto Hyde, steamy shaggy blonde alpha style Gotta Love It!!! Nothing more detail wise to much shock factor at stake here! Go buy it, read it and love it! Then write a review it's worth it! I love that it was all there the emotion, the drama and suspense... The heat the holy steamy freaking heat! All in a decently short novel but didn't leave anything left to the imagination it was all laid out nice and hot like!!! Loved it!!! Total Scorcher!

Five sparkling stars for pulling this story off without making me feel uncomfortable and nauseous...
For creating such beautiful characters, I loved from the start...
For making me think about how I would have felt and reacted in Ellie´s shoes...and if I could or would have chosen between her love´s interests...and for taking the time in the story to let my brain adjust to the things that were about to happen!
The epilogue intensified my warm and fuzzy feelings...
A truly fantastic read!!!

Okay what can I say about this incredible read? Well, it is just that...amazing. The story revolves around a horrible event and yet the main character Ellie is true to herself the entire time. Not a whiny, crying victim but a strong, lucid fighter in her heart and mind. And then there's Hyde...Oh...HELLOOOO! I can't say much more or I'll be ruining the fun in all the details! This is a MUST READ and I recommend it to all those who love a good story with flawless writing. Go Buy It Now!

I have read this book twice it is soooo Good!! I love Shayne's writing and her characters! She makes you laugh, cry, and she is the most inspiring author. No one writes empowering heroines like she does! The erotica is always hot and steamy, but the emotions behind her characters is always what makes the book! She knocked this one out of the park and I would recommend anyone read this book!

Another hit by Shayne that turned me into an emotional wreck.
I felt everything throughout the book and just wanted to keep reading. Love all the characters and how they interlink with other books and builds on the whole universe.

This book was pretty different from normal erotica. It is a beautiful but heart wrenching story of survival full of emotions, twists & turns and shocking moments. It keeps your eyes glued to the pages until the very end which I am glad to say is very fulfilling. I gotta admit I didn't see some of the twists coming and I love that!!
The story details Elliana Fields emotional journey after her and her bodyguard gets brutally attacked and left for dead. She tries to heal and take back her life with the help of her "family" but is faced with stumbling blocks along the way. I think one of my favorite things about this book is how strong Elliana is despite everything that happens to her.
The secondary characters where also great. I loved how her family and their friends, even though they where rich, weren't the "stuck-up type". I also enjoyed Cameron and would love to see a story of him and Katie in the future.
This book was very well written and despite it being categorized Erotic it is sooo much more than that. She has a very different style and approach to erotic writing and I really enjoyed it. Shayne McClendon has made a new fan.

Oh my God..this book is amazing..it's such a rollercoaster..I felt every single emotion and than some...the horror Ellie had to endure, I can't even think about it, I was shivering. Those beasts got what they deserved and I am really happy for it..and than Adam..I thought it wasn't possibile,but she fought back and killed the fucker..I was smiling and cheered for her.
She was in love with Hyde..and than discover that there were two of them...well I can only say she deserved them..they love her so much and treat her with so much care and respect..and they love her daughter like their own..
The epilogue made me smile...twins boys and their happly ever after..
I really love this book...unbelievable..

Solid stalker story with a tragic beginning.
A few twists.
Easy & quick read, but not sure it is my fave. I borrowed it so doubt I'd reread it (like I do her other books).
I didn't get why being SO rich would mean Ellie had zero friends :( Made me very sad ...
Due to tragic storyline, the erotica part wasn't present until like 75%.
Love a good solid Epilogue which this had.

Good book, very emotional with great characters. The only real issues I had with it was that it didn't get started until around 50-60% and then it sped up to the point the end felt a bit rushed. I also felt something was missing but I can't quite put my finger on it yet. Still a great read though and I will be reading more from this author.

I loved this book and although I have read many of Shayne's books this one different. I loved the characters and how a rough subject was dealt with. I started this book and couldn't stop till I was done

Love a book that captures my heart immediately. The writing style is brilliant, fell completely in love with the main characters from the beginning and am feeling a sense of loss now that I'm finished the book. Thankyou Shayne for a brilliant read :)

So I read this book before, before it was truly connected to Hollow - or if it was it was sneaky and I didn't see it.
I really enjoyed how much info was added to this story - and there was a lot!
Ellie is an overly sheltered and protected teen to adult and when Hyde comes along with his team to protect her it becomes clear that she has feelings for him. But for years she hides it and grows close to this team that take over her life.
Literally, so much happens. Much of it is very hard to read and as usual with this author - I sobbed.
I look forward to reading more in this spin-off series.

This is a story of a woman's fight with people who are twisted and greedy and don't understand the world of someone rich. Ellie is a marvelous, strong, gorgeous woman who deals with the adversity of her life. Being guarded and watched her whole life, she has no idea at the love that is awaiting her. I brutal savage attack on her life leads us into a life filled with horrifying emotions and feelings that brings out the most erotic love triangle. Its a simply must read and i recommend it to anyone. You will cry and feel close to Ellie as her world is revealed to you and those deeply involved with her as well. Shayne is an amazing writer who with every turn of the page pulls us deeper and deeper and wanting more. I just simply love her to death and crave more and more from her.

I always always always buy Shayne's books as she is one of my very favorite authors. This was no exception I was going to purchase this. What I did not expect was the inability to put this book down. I couldn't put it down. I had to find out what happened next. I had to keep reading. I didn't want to stop. Not even to go to bed, which is when I had to force myself to put it down so that I could get some sleep so I could go to work the next morning....but nope woke up at 12:30 am and read some more..... until I forced myself to put this down again and go back to sleep at 88% of this read...... I delayed all of my morning chores until this was finished this morning and I can say that I want more of this universe!!!!!

Ok guys this book laid me out. I cried, I wanted to scream and throw things, and in the end I fell hopelessly in love with the characters of the book and did not want to leave their world. Very few authors give me the same emotional roller coaster and Shayne is one of them. If you have not picked up one of her books do it. You need it in your life there are triggers in her books so if you are sensitive read some reviews but GIRL! You need her world building and the emotions that leak out while your not looking! Obsession is everything I needed it to be from when you released the teaser what felt like YEARS ago!!!! I cant wait for the next one!

I have issues with the characterisation of both the hero and heroine. I should admire the heroine for all her adorable qualities, as everyone in the book keep singing praises for. Instead she just seems too good/pure/noble to be true and relatable. While reading I kept thinking she was the embodiment of a one-dimensional character. It was even worse with the hero as it felt like we readers didn't know anything about him as a person. All I got to know was that he's the object of the heroine's desires. On the other hand, the romance and smut doesn't happen until about the 90% mark (which could be frustrating when it's romance you're looking for in a book), and the story has a solid plot, with a twist that took me by surprise which is why I'm giving this book as many as 3 stars.

I was so happy to get back into the Hollow universe! Shayne hits another home run with glimpses of previous characters that feel like old friends. When the first old friend popped up I gasped and was ready for a cry fest. Fortunately that didn't happen. For fans of the Barter System you will love all the surprises and even a question finally andsered. No spoilers! You have to read for yourself. Yes Obsession could be read as a stand alone but you will have so much more fun if you read in order so get cracken!

This a story not for the faint of heart. It will leave every reader with gut wrenching sobs, hysterical laughter and needing wine and chocolate in droves. This book touches on the barter system but needs to be read from a stand alone point of view. It will forever have a place in my heart for what Ellie went through and how Hyde captured her heart. Fantastic job once again Shayne. Love you and never stop striving for your dream. It's happening and it's here xoxo

Love and hate
Not gonna lie I was disappointed when I started and this was not Hollow's story. Guess it would help to read the synopsis but don't. Lol. But with that being said this book grabbed me and I could hardly put it down. The drama, action, suspense, heartache ( yes I teared up during very emotional chapter or 2) and the surprise. Loved all the characters. And of course its nice to hear from some of the old favorites. But I am dying wanting Hollow. Again another great read.
