Jennifer loves reading and writing clean romance. She believes that happily ever after is not just for stories. Jennifer enjoys interior design, rollerblading, clogging, jogging, and chocolate. In Jennifer’s opinion there are few ills that can’t be solved with a warm brownie and scoop of vanilla-bean ice cream. Jennifer grew up in rural Alabama and loved living in a town where “everybody knows everybody.” Her love for writing began as a young teenager when she wrote stories for her high school English teacher to critique. Jennifer has a BA in English and Social Sciences from Brigham Young University Hawaii where she served as Miss BYU Hawaii. Before becoming an author, she worked as the owner and editor of a monthly newspaper named The Senior Times. She now lives in the Rocky Mountains with her family and spends her time writing and doing all of the wonderful things that make up the life of a busy wife and mother.
This was my first book by Jennifer Youngblood and I enjoyed it. I'll have to check out some of her other books now. This started out pretty exciting. Victoria is on her way to surprise her boyfriend when she witnesses a murder, realizing Dominic isn't who she thought and now he's after her she has to go into hiding with her two kids.
The story picks up a year later when Tori and her kids have settled in Utah and have finally gotten back to normal. While working one night she gets swept off her feet by a hunky police officer, Hudson. Tori is hesitant to start a new relationship, but it drawn to Hudson. It's a bit insta-lovey, but a sweet romance.
I enjoyed the overall plot and characters, I thought the suspense could have been developed better. The ending felt rushed and anti-climatic. After the exciting start, we jump a year ahead and it was a bit slow going until the end when everything wraps up. I think I was just expecting a little more focus on the suspense and not as much on the romance and day-to-day of Tori and her kids. I still enjoyed the story though and thought it was a fun read.
This book had the perfect blend of romance and suspense for me. I was engaged and interested the whole way through. Fun story, great characters. Clean Romance.
Be careful who you love. She doesn't trust herself when falling in love. Twice she made huge mistakes and now she and her family are on the run. This was a fun, fast paced, clean romance.
This was a fast paced sweet novel. I usually don't enjoy stories of people who already have children from a divorce, etc. But this one I did enjoy. Cute characters and kept me reading.
Moral Note: Some mild violence, talk of abuse/drinking, no language, sweet romance.
After witnessing a shocking murder, Victoria Compton and her children flee, hoping to disappear. “Her instincts told her they had to act fast to have the slightest chance of escaping. She was furious with herself for being taken in by Dominic, and felt hurt and betrayed. But mostly, she was scared.” Tori’s quick thinking and courage got them to safety. Moving from Brooklyn to Salt Lake City gave them a sense of peace and safety as they let down their guard. Hudson Lawrence is first struck by Tori’s beauty and both are overwhelmed by an instant attraction and intimate connection. A lot of sexual tension and kissing but things never escalate to intimacy. “But she has two strikes again her, and it was obvious that her heart couldn’t be trusted.” Patrol Officer Hudson is instantly suspicious of Tori’s evasiveness and reticence. Dominic Romano is ruthless and relentless in his pursuit of Tori. Fun family scenes, great secondary characters, and a spotlight on Type 1 diabetes add a depth to this story. I enjoyed the active role the kids played in this story. They actively helped the plot move along and weren’t just window dressing. Hudson’s efforts to connect with Jules and Easton are especially touching. Hudson has a “maverick edge tinged with kindness.” His persistence payed off as she and the kids learned to trust again. “I make my living protecting people, but if I can’t protect the people I love, then what good am I?” Themes of faith, trust, and second chances run through this straight forward romantic suspense “Maybe there was hope for the future—two lost souls finding each other.” While grammatical errors kept me from giving this story a higher rating, I really enjoyed how the subtle reminders of danger kept the suspense building but still let me enjoy the growing relationship between Hudson and Tori.

A very good story. I love Christian fiction that doesn’t ignore our passions and desires – we are human after all. This authors’ books are always full of mystery and suspense and this one is no exception. The books are good, clean romantic suspense novels with a touch of faith.
Victoria Compton, mother of two children, divorced, owner of her own dance studio and she has a wealthy boyfriend that wants to marry her until she sees a murder in his office by mistake. She runs for her life and the lives of her children along with her best friend Zoe.
Tori, Jules and Easton Smith start a new life in the Salt Lake City area. A year has gone by when she meets Hudson Lawrence, a local cop and her life starts to change for the better. Their relationship developed slowly with the kids included and their feelings considered based in a strong faith.
Dominic is still looking for Victoria and her kids when by chance he gets a lead. A kidnapping Jules , capturing Tori and tracker necklace bring the book to a happy ending. I loved the maturity of Tori, her devotion to keeping her friend and her kids safe. Hudson has his own baggage; which he has his family support to help him deal with it by moving forward. Coco adds a loving touch to the story too and some humor. I Know You'll Find Me is a good Christian read with lots of excitement and a suspenseful plot.
This has a lot of religious overtones to it that were not mentioned in the book description at all. It wasn't just referencing religion but included praying and going to church. Had I known that, I never would have picked it. I liked the characters well enough and the romance was sweet. The book wasn't very long or intense and would make for a good, light read as long as you are aware of the content.
I also was not a fan of Hudson describing "the perfect woman" as being thin but curvy. Like women and girls don't already have enough societal pressure to maintain unrealistic physical standards as it is. I like my romantic Heroes to be a lot less superficial and a lot more concerned with character.
There are some timeline inconsistencies. For instance, Jules is 7 in Salt Lake City, which makes her 6 the year before when she was supposedly in preschool. Pretty old for a preschooler.
This suspenseful romance grabbed my attention from the get-go and never let go. Kind of like a riveting hostage situation. Victoria is a single mother who runs her own dance studio in New York. She is dating a handsome, filthy rich guy who seems to adore her. When she goes to tell him she will marry him though, she sees something sinister and has to flee for her life with her children and start all over again. When she ends up in Salt Lake City under a new name to start over, the last thing on her mind is falling in love again. But when she meets cop, Hudson, her luck might just change…if she lets it. I really enjoyed the characters this author painted for me in this book and the riveting suspense of wondering the whole time if and when the bad guy is going to find her, or if he will. There are so many questions I had, like Victoria, so it was easy to slip into her life while I read this. Definitely worth the time to read.
I loved this book. Victoria gets the surprise of her life when she goes to Dominic's office and witnesses a murder. Fearing for the life of herself and her two children she leaves NY and goes to Utah. With new identity's they start their lives over. She, once a dance instructor with her own studio, is now a waitress in a nice restaurant. There she meets Houston, a police officer with secrets of his own. Dominic is still looking for her. He can't let her live, even though he still loves her. How does he find her? Does she go back with him to save her children or does she stay in Utah? What happens at the end? Good questions. Read this book and find out the answers. This is a great book well worth reading. I was hooked from page one. I have never read a book by this author. I thought she done an amazing job bringing all the characters to life.
The story is fairly plain with no surprises. Once the characters were all in place, the reader could pretty well write the rest of the story. The author attempts to make it suspenseful but we know what's going to happen and even then, it's not done well.
Hudson kisses Tori and she slaps him, but that's it. They are both hooked. There isn't much romancing going on, but that doesn't stop them.
I tagged this as Christian but if it is, it barely is. Both characters pray for help, but there is little background for this and no preaching.
Mature themes. There really aren't any but there is murder and some battery. There is no sex.
If you are bugged when an author uses "vice" when she means "vise;" if it irritates you when someone says "if he thinks that, he's got another THING coming...then this book is not for you. If there's just instant love and no growth, or falling...if a character (and it's always the woman, isn't it) making stupid decisions drives you up the wall, just skip this book. However, this book is clean.
A little bit predictable, but a decent storyline and interesting characters. Victoria and her children Will and Jules go through a lot of trauma that forces them try to escape and enjoy a brand new life. But the past has a way of catching up. See how theirs has a tendency to keep them on edge.
I love this book and know it is one I will re-read through the years. The characters are wonderful and the growth of the relationship between Hudson and Victoria is lovely. The suspense is great! And I so appreciate the way God is sprinkled throughout the story.
The more I read of Jennifer Youngblood, the more I like ... and will be looking for more and more of her books.
Tori is so timid and scared to date again, and who can blame her. With two kids to think about, even more so. The well written descriptions make it easy to picture each of the characters, including Tori's dancing. I literally cried at a few points and laughed out loud several times. My heart was thumping the first time Tori and Hudson met... and that first kiss, be still my heart! Hudson, what can I say? Such a great guy. Fun. Sincere. Fiercely protective. Strong. Mmmm. What a great read!
Victoria is fleeing after witnessing a murder. Living in fear for a year, she is determined to keep her family safe. However, danger and fear of reprisal by her evil ex-boyfriend leads her to trust her story to a friendly neighbor, who just happens to be a cop. An exciting romance one can't put down.
Pleasantly nice read. The suspense and terror aspects fell flat for me. No heart pumping, or emotions evoked for this reader! This tells me the authour is more comfortable writing romance , than this kind of book where it shows she is unable to write fear and terror. like I said, a pleasant read.
Plenty of suspense coupled with good personal interactions. Long descriptions of how gorgeous the lead characters were got a bit tedious but, all in all, a good read.
This ius a wonderful story of starting over. Tori and 2 children were housing from her ex boyfriend. She saw him kill somebody. Utah was perfect. Hudson was trying to deal with own personal demons when he met her on his birthday. He's a cop, she's afraid to share.
This was a good book. I liked Victoria and Hudson. It was also a nice touch to include a dog, Coco in this story. It only had a little bit of suspense near the end of the book with the majority of it centering around Victoria and Hudson’s budding romance. (Karen's review)
Great characters and suspense. Victoria and her kids have to run to save their lives after she witnesses a murder. This is their story. Enter Hudson and things get interesting. Jennifer Youngblood is on my automatic read list.
Sometimes we see only the mask of the person in front of us. Such was the experience of Victoria. Read this hurry/wait novel of how she and her children respond to evil close up and ugly.
Storyline was well written but fairly predictable. What was slighty different was Tori getting messed up by 2 men before finding happiness. An enjoyable read.
The story was captivating from the first paragraph. If was fast paced yet gave insight in the the lives of the characters. The fear, the joy, and the family closeness. I sincerely hope Zoe gets her own story. She proved to be a very good friend.
Tori had to protect her children. Hudson needed to deal with the pain from losing a fellow policeman. Things just seemed to fall in to place, like they were meant to be. But danger was still there, waiting to get Tori.
Could not out it down! Stayed up took late but it was worth it. Good characters in a story that was well written. The intrigue was carried to the end. It was a great journey to enjoy. Thanks!
