This was another great edition to the series. I absolutely LOVE Steve. I have been waiting for his story from the very beginning. It was so nice to see a different side of him and to see how he has grown and matured. Oh, he still says funny things and jokes, but he has become the VC Warrior he was meant to be. I love how at one point, he stood up to them all and called them all out on their shit. And I loved how he gets his own family. Nothing is sweeter or hotter than a
I really liked Mira too. I was afraid she was going to push away too much but she didn't and I love how she just "got" Steve and liked him the way he was. She was the perfect mate for Steve.
I shed a few tears a time or two. Man, at one point I was really hoping Teresa wasn't going to go "there". Luckily it was all good and worked out.
I'm looking forward to more of this series but I have to say, I'm not a fan of Kira or really Ronan for that matter. Maybe it's because I don't feel like I know much about him, but Kira, so far, doesn't seem to be the type of heroine I like. But we shall see...as always, I will preorder 😉
I have been impatiently waiting for this book for what felt like years!. Teresa Gabelman did not disappoint with our invisible warrior. Steve is everything I imagined and more. Don't be fooled by his class clown joker persona, he is very much the guy who will make anyone happy at his expense however theres alot more to him that just the funny guy act. Steve boy has quite the temper when pushed to far and let me tell you I enjoyed the hell out of seeing that different side to him. I rooted for him to stand up for himself and what he wanted.. he didn't disappoint. Mira is definitely the perfect match to Steve. Her sweet loving nature instantly draws you in but don't be fooled. That mama can be Hella protective when she needs to be. I love that she had a backbone, she was feisty and not afraid to speak her mind.
The story it's self starts off with a bang quite literally and doesn't slow down for there. Your immediately sucked into their crazy world, constantly on edge waiting for what's going to happen next. The storyline is definitely different and I'm super excited to see where Teresa takes that because it's a whole knew kettle of fish in this PNR world. It's written seamlessly to perfection with a little of everything and a whole lotta wtf hilarious moments... But you don't expect anything less from Steve huh?😜. I can't count the amount of times I laughed so hard I cried. Or when my ovaries felt they were about to combust from all the cuteness going on. It's a rollercoaster for sure but a ride you'll love, won't forget and even go back for 5ths,6ths. The side characters are such a big part of her stories you cant not mention them. I love them all but there are times you'll want to throttle them on Steve's behalf. The connection between them all is truly magical and written to perfection. You feel like your apart of their crazy disfunctional family, feel every emotion with them and root for the happy ending. There's alot going on In the backgrounds that doesn't override the "romance" happening or take anything away from the stars of the show however it does have you wondering where Teresa will take it. I'm curious...
All round though I loved it and want more. I know I'll no doubt have withdrawals waiting for the next book to arrive which makes me sad cause I'd happily read one of her books everyday.
Steve has always been the comic relief in the previous books... and to be honest, he still is ; ) Yet somehow TG manages to make him a credible, sexy Alpha H as well. Cause when it comes to Mira, he will do anything to protect her and her daughter. The story starts with a shootout surrounding the car where Mira is giving birth. And the rest of the story is just as OTT, but I loved it! Mira was the perfect foil for Steve. A sweet natured witch whose on the run with her 'less than sweet' natured sister. There's also the beginnings of a side romance between Kira, her sister and the cowboy Vampire, Ronan. I love the way TG juggles her cast of characters and keeps them all in character, influencing the story in their own unique ways.
This book was just as fantastic as the other ones in the series? As the series goes on there is so much action, mayhem, family love, and steamy love scenes with awesome characters. Loved it when each book picks up where the last one ended! I'm so happy that this is not the end of the series and I can't wait for, Ronan and Kira's story.
Steve is such a smart**, "Steve nodded proudly. "Yeah, I did, didn't I?" He then glanced at Slade, "Scary ****, right?" Steve is just the sweetest man, "nah, just like Wally World and needed a reason to go,” he teased as he quickly grabbed the bags and headed inside. “I hope I got everything you needed.” If Steve needed to be he could be a persuasive man, "eff no I wouldn’t be okay with that, and I’d do everything in my power to change your mind to the point of prancing naked in front of you at every opportunity possible.” I liked this book, I had fallen in love with Steve in the previous books because the man reminded me of Sid with his personality.
I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
I jumped into Steve’s book and enjoyed every second of it. Every time I think I know my favorite warrior Teresa writes another book. Steve is Steve crazy, fun and doesn’t know when to shut his trap.
I loved watching Steve grow form a boy to a VC Warrior like no other. He is still his funny crazy self but now he has someone he is responsible for and he will not let her down. Mira makes one heck of an entrance lets just say bullets were flying and lives were about to change. There is so much going on in this book between curses, revenge, spells and mates being brought together.
The connection Steve has with Mira and her family is heartwarming. Then to watch the Warriors have to deal with some stinky situation was hilarious. On a side note Daniel OMG I love him his cuteness and his serious side too. This little guy is going to be something special…oh what am I saying he already is something special. There was a conversation between Steve and Mira about roller-coasters and man did my mind get flooded with wonderful memories at the mention of Kings Island.
I loved watching Steve grow from the crazy kid to the VC Warrior. Don’t get me wrong he is still Steve and finds a way to still get into trouble but when his protector side shows he will take on anyone including his brothers. I cannot wait for Roman’s story there is just something about that whip slinging Cowboy.
A few of my favorites:
It must be his call in life to make people laugh because that’s when he felt his best, even if they were laughing at his expense.
With the past hour, something significant had happened, and for life of him, he couldn’t figure out what the hell it was. He felt off and didn’t like it.
Her heart quickened its pace, her stomach squeezing painfully at what would never be, and still, that picture right there was something she wanted more than she wanted her next breath.
Steve swore tight then and there he was going to make sure she did anything and everything she ever wanted to do. That would be his goal in life.
Sloan had given him a gun with a silencer on it. He had been practicing and was almost a dead shot like Jill. Though he couldn’t shoot the balls off an ant…yet.
Okay, you can't spend 10 books showing what an idiot a person is, and then attempt to show said idiot as a badass romantic leading man. Steve has never been my favorite character. He's made me laugh literally 2, maybe 3 times at most in the series so far. Mostly TG has just shown him to be a weak, blubbering idiot. This novel does absolutely nothing to change my mind. It feels forced, has a ridiculously weak storyline with a "new big bad", and just feels all around like it's gone off the rails.
Mira is a weak, slightly whiney leading lady who strangely has a baby (ie a plotline that adds nothing to the story nor furthers the plot in any way). There is absolutely NO passion in this story, and the MCs confess their love after no meaningful interactions. TG now brings witches onto the scene, which I don't have a problem with in general, but it was a forced, boring, and truly worthless addition to the overall series. It felt like TG can't just write a love story, there has to be this OTT big bad to contend with. It's exhausting, and not in a good way.
Basically, the newest addition to the Protectors series tells me that TG may just be done with the series, or perhaps she no longer cares. You don't really get to touch base with any of the older MCs. They're just around for window dressing. Although TG contrived this whole plotline that fractures relationships and causes strife, it is literally out of character and just forces drama where there doesn't need to be any. And then we don't really see it resolved, we just hear about it in passing. And then we have to read in detail about "sharting" and changing poopy diapers literally more than there are passionate interludes between the MCs. At the end of the day, all this tells me that I need to be done with the series, because the series I once loved is gone. This addition was ultimately a waste of my time and money, and while I liked Ronan, I have no desire to read more about the cranky, rude-for-no-reason sister of the h.
Wow just WOW!! I have always thought of Steve as like a younger brother and watching him grow up in each book has been awesome!! What a wonderful man he has grown into and a good badass as well!! I must say Teresa has left me wanting so much more at the end of this one. It's not a cliffhanger, but watching everything start to unfold in this one and knowing there is more and I mean a LOT more coming in the next one. Makes me want it NOW!!! Teresa you truly ROCK AS A WRITER!!
Title: Invisible Warrior Author: Teresa Gableman Characters: Steve and ?? Review: Waiting for this book was like waiting for Christmas morning to arrive. When it FINALLY hit my Kindle, I gave a little sssqqquuueeee in delight. I’m so very happy to report that it did not disappoint. We meet Steve for the first time in Damon’s book. Steve was just a teenage half-breed and scared. Now, he’s a vampire and he’s grown up and ready to kick some ass. I have always loved him. When the mood got heavy, he was there with his jokes. He can always make you laugh (do ants have balls?). One of the things Teresa does well is the banter between the characters. The entire conversation in the kitchen about Steve’s mustache is gold. While you don’t have to have read the others before reading this one, I think it would only make reading this one much more enjoyable. You’ll be able to see the growth of the characters. And, besides, reading them all is doing yourself a favor.
This is a big thumbs way up for me.
I am now off to but Teresa for Ronan’s story. Not my fault, I’m addicted to the series and want more the minute I finish one.
The things the young kid was saying was never really expanded on so I always felt like I'm missing something. A short explanation was given to a few of the women but why did the kid get nothing? Really felt like it dragged the story down as a new to me reader as I didn't get it. If it was explained he's some sort of seer that would have solved the problem or at least give me something to ponder about. The gang is Mc but like a motorcycle gang? I think I missed most of this jumping in at this book thus why I did not fully enjoy it = the low stars. If you have read the series before you will probably like it better then I did, new readers don't be like me & start here. Vampire related romance is hit or miss but this was interesting. Not much Vampire related things going on in this.
The one Warrior I've have been wanting and waiting to see come to book and WOW Teresa you made me laugh made me say oh no he didn't just say that...lol I loved how Steve has grown into his badass Warrior way...Since Damon watching all these badass Warriors I was wondering how Steve would grow and boy he has grown up, but still has his same wit and goofiness Teresa never ever fails to make The Protectors one amazing series book after book she makes The Protectors a 5 STAR Series. Teresa I applaud you you on Invisible Warrior
I don't know how to put into words on how good this book was. My little brother grew up into a hot bad azz invisible warrior! From the Jared and Sid show classic as always to Sloan the grumpy boss man to Ronan with his whip and the classic Steve and his 'steveisims'. The storyline was incredible, Teresa creates a work of art with her stories. You'll laugh and cry at the same time but you won't want the story to end. I would highly recommend this book series to everyone.
The metamorphosis of Steve over the course of this series has been a wonder to behold. He retains his goofy essence, but has risen into the role of VC Warrior like no other. This story is such a great read I could not put it down. Teresa Gabelman has really put her heart and soul into this book, and while I eagerly await the next installment about Ronan and Kira, I feel really satisfied with this book and am just going to bask in that for awhile.
What an AWESOME read!! I LOVED it!! Teresa you knocked this book out of the ballpark!! Steve's grown up into one BAD ASS WARRIOR!! I didn't want it to end!! You all should read the "THE PROTECTOR SERIES" you won't be disappointed !! I guarantee it!! You are one very talented author!!💕
Who can not love Steve, he is always getting himself in trouble but has a heart of gold, great book, love all the characters!! It makes you laugh crying and makes you think !!! Definitely a must read!!!!!
4 "witchy" stars. I'm a huge Gableman fan. This story saw one of my favorite characters coming of age while still keeping his quirkiness. Loved it. I urge you my book friends to read this series, it's addictive😉❤️‼️
Arrhhh i think this would be my favorite book yet. I love steve he wears his heart on his sleeve he loves with everything he has and he is hilariously funny.. absolutely loved this book.
I wasn’t sure I wanted Steve’s book.. I liked his crazy personality since Damon’s book.. I was pleasantly surprised how Teresa wove his story and how the other characters always come into play.. I like to keep getting glimpses of how they all fit together as a team.. This book had twists and turns that made this more enjoyable. I can’t wait to see where someone else’s storyline takes us... Great read Teresa and thank you for changing my mind..
Just when you think this series can not possibly get any better, it’s just takes your breath away completely. I have never laughed some much while reading a book, yet still found the story to be intense and gripping at the same time. Obviously I am going to say that this book is a must read for all paranormal lovers, but more than that. I think readers that have never picked up a vampire book should start reading this series. It will take you quite by surprise. It’s fun, loving, sexy and oh! Boy the warriors in this series will melt your heart as well as your knickers.
Steve has always kind of been invisible to everyone even before his power come to fusion. Yes, he has kept many a spirits up with his one liners. He has the wickedest sense of humour. Sometimes even unknown to him. But he has always buried a lot of his feelings, biting back what he really wanted to say or do. But by God does that change when Mira comes into his life.
Mira and Kira are witches that need the warriors to protect them whether they think it or not. It’s never a dull life around the compound so why should their futures be any different. Bossman, Sloane has always has his work cut out for him trying to keep his warriors in check. Steve is proving to be more than just a boy. Sid and Jared will forever been the jokesters of this group. Damon and Duncan are still very intense guys, Slade is everyone’s Mr Hottie. There are so many wonderfully hot warriors they will keep you busy for a while.
Steven and Ronan seem to be pretty close and I am looking forward to reading Ronan’s story. He’s not someone to be messed with. What am I saying?! None of the VC Warriors are to be messed with. They are a family and family look after each other to the death.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey thus far with, The Protectors. I look forward to reading so many more books from this series.
When Steve was first introduced, he didn't seem to be a likely candidate for this role. For him to end up a dad is surprising. There are some amusing quips from the other warriors about him coming I to his own.
The beginning of the book was good and the end was fine but the middle got a little boring. Steve had a lot of verbal diarrhea. He usually made it funny but it got to be too much. At one point, I was thinking "why won't he shut up."
I almost gave it 4 stars but the dragging in the middle and the lack of private moments between Steve and Mira brought it down. It really seemed like they were drawn to each other because they were mates and not because of themselves. They didn't spend enough time with each other for that. They were probably alone together less than 10% of the book.
It's been a long time since I read this series and I can't remember how steamy the others were. I read them as they came out through this book and stopped. This one was in 2018. I read it just before I signed up for Kindle Unlimited and hadn't been back to it. I reread this one before starting the rest to refresh myself on the characters. I have read the first 4 or so at least a couple of times, so I remember more about those. I am glad I reread this one because part of the story is a carry over to the next book and beyond.
Back to the steamy part. There is only one sex scene in this book (she did just give birth, which requires a waiting period of 6 weeks) and that scene was pretty lackluster. Luckily, I was not in the mood to enjoy a good scene like that but, at other times, I would have been disappointed.
There were some good chuckles in this book and I did enjoy it.
I am intrigued by Ronan and am looking forward to reading his book. A sexy, cowboy VC warrior. What could be better?
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book
Steve has been in everyone of the Protector series book and now he has finally come into his own. We have watched Steve grow from a angry half breed to a fully turned warrior. He is the jokester of the warriors even if he doesn’t mean to be. He’s always making me laugh whether he is talking about ant balls, driving a pink scooter like a bad a**, to now having a “porn ‘stache. He’s always been a fun loving man child until Mira. Mira is pregnant and in labor when she meets Steve and the warriors for the first time. She also has brought a hail of gunfire to the warrior compound. She is also a witch, which is a new group in Gabelman’s Warrior world. When Steve meets Mira and helps her give birth to her daughter, he is a totally different person, like they were who he was waiting for a his life. Mira, her sister, and now her daughter are the last of the Dragon Fly coven and the one who is their mate are cursed to die, they also have a wizard that their ancestor bound trying to kill them off. I love how Gabelman introduced the witches to the series, love new characters!! I also adore how before he would even think about going to Mira with his new feelings he went straight to Leda, from the Lee County Wolves, to break things off even though they were friends more than dating. This is how a real man does things, not by text and not start another relationship before ending the current one. Steve, Mira, and their daughter Drew are going to be a great family!! The way Steve is with Drew is amazing to see, right from the start he knew that these two girls were his. The next book is going to be awesome, seeing the cowboy warrior and Mira’s witch sister together is going to be good.
Love the fact that Steve is coming into his own. He still is a smart Alec and says the wrong things at times, but he started standing up for himself. All he needed was someone to care for and who cared for him. Mira came into his life with bullets flying, literally. She was in the back seat of a car, in labor, with people shooting at her and a social worker friend of Nicole's. Steve turned invisible and went to the car to help her. When two men were caught, they shot themselves n the head before they could be interrogated. When the shooting stopped Slade came out to the car and Steve sat behind Mira helping her as she gave birth. Her sister, Kira, came looking for her right after the ambulance took Mira and baby to the hospital. When a dark magic cloud started to come down from the ceiling in the hospital and Mira chanted a few lines. She had to tell them she was a witch. Her and her sister told the Warriors that there was a warlock who was after them to kill I them because some ancestor of theirs bound his powers. The only way he will get them back is to kill out the Graill family line. Kira, Mira and now baby Drew are all that is left. If he gets his powers back he will take over the world. He is the one behind all the half breeds, Crimson Rush and every thing else the Warriors are fighting against. Steve stayed by her side and baby Drew's through everything, and there is a lot that happens to all the warriors and their mates. The best parts involved Drew and Steve time. They are hilarious! Don't want this series to end, it is that great!
I’ve always been pretty much on the fence in relation to Steve in the past Books. He is set up as a humourfilled guy who talks a lot about ant balls, sharting and being terrified of the various other warriors... and so when Steve was shot and turned and given warrior status in spades book... I was a tad miffed... because he failed he died but was given warrior status? And I kinda though that he wasn’t warrior stuff... he was too happy too jokey too fluffy! So when he miraculously developed his invisibility power... all his problems were solved... he had his use... harsh but that’s how I felt.
This book was ok, not great but ok... it told more of a story of the guys I’ve been invested in but it didn’t pull on my heart strings or lead me to emote any other emotion that the other Books gave me. I wasn’t a fan of the introduction of the two witches and warlock... and as much as we saw Steve develop into more of a ‘grown up’ it still was done too fast and felt rushed. He meets Mira and decides to break things of with leda straight away...mmmm ok.... and I really was excited about ronan and his book, but knowing that he is gonna be with Kira ( witch bitch... I don’t care if it’s a defence mechanism ) has dulled the flames on my excitement....so much so that the cliffhanger-esq ending didn’t really phase me.
I’m just more gutted that I didn’t enjoy this book more.
I have waited a long time for Steve's story and Teresa didn't disappoint me. This book had me in tears and laughing my butt off more than once. Hands down Invisible Warrior is my favorite book in this series which is really hard to do since all of Teresa's book are awesome. I love how we get to see the serous side of Steve. Mara is sweet but strong in her own way....she has to be to go through everything that has happened to her in her life. Once fate brought them together they couldn't stay away from each other. I stayed up all night reading, once I started reading about Steve I couldn't put my kindle down. My review isn't doing this book justice, Its hard for me to put my feelings into word when I think about this book. All I do know is that I will be at some point picking this book as well as all of the others in this series up in paperback. Invisible Warrior is a most read and I cant wait for the next book to come out because Steve and Mara's story isn't over yet because there is still a threat hanging over them. Teresa keep up the good work and please sometime in the future I want to know more about little Daniel and Drew...
Steve has finally come into his own, a perfect match with Mira.
From the beginning he takes it in stride with an open heart and an open mind. His protective instincts kick in and he realizes something is different with her that she is special.
Steve has always been the doofus of the bunch. Everybody's little brother, always the goofball and a bit of a ditz. But first and foremost he always had a great attitude and was the comedian of the group. People from this read this and didn't take him serious but now after meeting Mira everyone is looking at him differently.
You will laugh because Steve is Steve and you can't help but laugh at his antics. Ronan is on scene now so it'll be interesting to see what happens with his story - him being the sexy cowboy that is, I can't wait.
Absolutely love the story. You will laugh and you will cry. But more than anything you will enjoy the story itself because everyone is a part of it. Especially the kids. Never laughed so hard listening to someone describe changing a diaper.
Castle clown Steve Richardson didn’t get his powers until well after his two half-blood friends that were changed with him but he became full-blooded first! Drawing attention to himself by saying the oddest things at the oddest times, periodically he spouts gems, calling himself invisible proved to prophetic when that became his super power.
Steve hasn’t been a favorite for this reader so it was a treat to have him show he’s more than a bad joke machine in his outing which co-starred ‘Ronan with a whip’. Sisters, Mira and Kira (I didn’t make the names rhyme), had big characters and brought out the protective instincts in the boys and a bit of the everyday, making the read even accessible.
While I still don’t have the warm fuzzies for Steve, this was the perfect vehicle for him and would have felt cartoonish for any of the other warriors. The outing was light though it included all the touchpoints, the mundane and the usual ‘we have to save the humans’ from themselves element. Overall an enjoyable read. Rating 4stars
Book 11 into a series and I'm still as addicted as I was from book 1. That's how much I love these books. I was only a few pages in and I had my comfy slippers on. Those familiar bursts of laughter that I can only associate with these Warriors and i knew I was done for. I flew through the pages and enjoyed every minute.
Steve has always been a favourite of mine, I just love his ability to put his foot in it no matter what the situation. Bless him. But this book we really see him come into his own. Gone is the young kid and in is the Man we all knew he could be. He's still Steve just now he's Alpha Steve and not just Goofy Steve.
Teresa has done Steve proud and my love for him has only intensified. The Protectors is still one of my favourite series across any Genre because I'm guaranteed a good laugh, hot action, Gorgeous Alpha men and feisty women. It's just has everything I love to keep me coming back for more.
I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT NOT JUST STEVE, BUT ABOUT ALL OF THE VC WARRIORS!! MY GOD I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! Literally every release day for a new book I finish it THAT same day (for both the Protectors Series and Lee County Wolves)..I just can't ever put them down! But then I'm completely bummed out because I just have to wait however long until the next one...*sighs* I was so excited to FINALLY read Steve's book and Teresa did not disappoint!! The laughs, oh my sweet baby Jesus the actual LOLs coming from me, though I expected nothing less from my favorite funny warrior (coupled with Jared and Sid of course, they always put smiles on my face and laughs in the air)...loved this book so very much! Ms. Teresa, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your characters and their stories. I re-read both series at least once every few months, I love getting lost in the world you've created. I hope and pray that you never stop writing their stories. ❤️ Thank You!! ~Gabriella
I laughed and cried. Action and will keep you turning the pages till the end. Excellent story. Funny. Bloody. Lovable characters. Mira is a witch and is on the run from a warlock. She’s pregnant and gives birth in a car in from of the Warriors compound. Steve is the funniest and craziest one of them all. He’s a half blood vampire and a VC Warrior. He helps delivery Mira’s baby and feels a connection between them. There is a curse on Mira, whoever she falls in love will die. And the heart on her chest turns blood red, meaning Steve is her mate. The warlock wants all three of the Grail women dead, so he will be at full strength. ( That’s Mira, her sister Kira, and baby Drew). Steve will protect them with his life, if he has too. He lives the baby as much as he loves Mira but when they are in an accident he could lose the only woman he has said I Love You to.
