Great story, but The author uses the same outline for this series. There are no surprises.

Guy comes to town. Meets girl, there is some tension, they marry and live on. Usually they have a child who then shows up in the next book, repeats.

This is a rather exciting story, at least the part about the car racing is. Somehow painting doesn't have as much excitement for me! The story is about two young Winslows in New York City in 1907, & how they succeeded in what they wanted to do. I enjoyed this book very much!

Gilbert Morris is wonderful story teller. This book has adventure, tragedy, healing, and romance. It keeps your interest to the very end. I have read all the books in this series and am looking forward to reading the next one.

Superior Historical Fiction

Morris gives us an up close and personal view of the early 1900’s in New York City, while continuing the story of the Winslow clan.

This series by Gilbert Morris is one of my absolute favorites. Each book follows at least one member of a generation in the Winslow family tree and the member(s) gets saved and finds true love. There's also some commentary on the social conditions of the time frame. Truly interesting.
