A new release! This is the fourth book of a new, best-selling, Dark Fantasy series--over three million Kindle Unlimited page reads during the series' first six months.
My name is Moira, and Ian O'Rourke just saved me from a lifetime of magical slavery. Thank the gods, he's the new witch warlord in charge of Central California. For six brutal years, I was forced by sorcerers to fight as a gladiator, but now I'm free! I'm incredibly grateful to Ian, and now my work is just beginning. Mom and my two sisters are also slaves to sorcerers. With Ian's help, I'll win their freedom, too.
Although this book is part of the Sorcerers' Scourge series, it can be read as a standalone novel. It's also a good entry point into the series. >Here is a full listing of the books in the Sorcerers' Scourge series: Book one--Lone Survivor--Amazon ID B06W56NTWM Book two--Sanctuary--Amazon ID B06WLMCN6W Book three--Vengeance--Amazon ID B06XCCP63Q Book four--Freedom--Amazon ID B074MH4HZC.
Michael Arches moved to the Denver, Colorado area in the early 1980’s, and he has never left. Before coming to Denver, he had lived in eight different places, but he and his wife settled down in Colorado and raised their family here. The natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains attracted him here in the first place, and he’s still finding precious jewels in them there hills to write about.
Moira is someone who has been enslaved and forced to fight in the sick gladiator games of the sorcerers. She's a broken woman who's hearth's pieces have not mended well, she's clueless about the most basic human feelings and relationship but all along in the book she's catching up and realize the goal she set to herself.
In that book of the series, the point of view change from Ian to Moira. The female heroine kinda annoyed me at first, but she's getting good. Ian is a father figure and a mentor in this book, he has become what Gill was for him to Moira. It change from the whiny guy he was before, it's nice.

I was pleasantly surprised to see this fourth book has a female sorcerer as the heroine! Ian is still in the book, but no longer the main focus as he now is training others and clearing out evil sorcerers in a new area.
While a sorceress, Moira has been a slave since she turned 18 and her Dad sold her to another sorcerer! She is not evil and starts learning ‘white’ magic in her quest to free her sisters and her Mom.
This story was well written, interesting and I enjoyed the new point of view. Looking forward to reading the next book!
All 4 books are terrific. Nonstop action. The whole series has an unusual twist to the function of sorcerers and witches. Different from all other urban fantasy. A good different.
