A masterpiece. One of, if not, the best resource for gaining an in-depth, comprehensive understanding of physiology. Boron and Boulpaep dive into subjects with shrewd precision, helping the student follow each principle from its basic fundamentals to its wider practical applications. I would advise this book more as a reference rather than a chapter-by-chapter reading textbook, only because the sheer volume of information provided is difficult to get through in a normal semester. Believe you me, if time permitted, this would be the only textbook I used for medical physiology. Highly recommended for any physiology medical student or even those taking physiology outside of medical school.
